Recognition of a State of War with Bavaria on Behalf of the Polish-Czechoslovakian Commonwealth

King of Czechoslovakia Nikola Romanov stands upon a podium in the central square of Prague, his First Royal Guard gathered around him, as well as many of the people of Prague. The look on his face is one of determination.

Former generations as well as those who stand here today have often seen the soldiers of the First Guard Regiment and My Guards at this place. We were brought together then by an oath of allegiance which we swore before God. Today all have gathered to pray for the triumph of our weapons, for now that oath must be proved to the last drop of blood. The sword, which I have left in its scabbard for decades, shall decide.

I expect My First Guard Regiment on Foot and My Guards to add a new page of fame to their glorious history. The celebration today finds us confident in God in the Highest and remembering the glorious days of Leuthen, Chlum, and St. Privat. Our ancient fame is an appeal to the Czech people and their sword. And the entire Polish nation to the last man has grasped the sword. And so I draw the sword which with the help of God I have kept in its scabbard for decades.

At this point the King drew his sword from its scabbard and held it high above his head.

The sword is drawn, and I cannot sheathe it again without victory and honor. All of you shall and will see to it that only in honor is it returned to the scabbard. You are my guaranty that I can dictate peace to my enemies. Up and at the enemy! Down with the enemies of the Commonwealth! Our army marches to glorious victory!

Operation Clampdown

By this point, the massive mobilization of the Czech army had been completed. They had successfully moved to their positions, the border of Saxony and Bavaria, and all 500,000 of this truly massive force, the largest to ever have marched aggressively into German soil, would soon be moving into the lands of those whom they had so dreadfully hated for so very long. Since nearly the beginning of its existence, the Czech Kingdom had been rivals and enemies of Bavaria, and as a result, not many Czech people were fond of the Bavarians.

The attack would go in waves. Firstly, digital warfare systems would make attacks on the Bavarian Defensive Network as well as communications in Bavaria, and because of their surprising nature, they would surely be able to bring down the Bavarian network for long enough for the next wave of attacks to ensue. Meanwhile, massive missiles launched from silos in the more secluded regions of the Commonwealth into space, with the intention of knocking out Bavarian satellites.

The second thing which happened was a massive missile attack on levels which were unprecedented in Eastern Europe previously. Huge amounts of missiles, near 1,500 of them, swept across the lands towards Bavaria before the official declaration of war was made. Because of the surprising nature of the attack, and the speed at which they moved, many were assumed able to hit their targets before the Bavarian defenses realized that missile attacks were coming and they were able to begin to attempt to shoot down the missiles. These missiles targeted Anti-Air defenses in Bavaria proper, as well as defensive headquarters and control centers for armies and units on the border.

Third, the air raids came. While most of the Polish Air Force was elsewhere, the Czech Air Force was entirely prepared for this attack, and as soon as most of the AA defenses had been taken out by the missile attacks, the Fighters would move into Bavarian skies and engage the Bavarian Air Force while the Bomber Divisions moved to take out major military installations, supply routes, as well as damage infrastructure, damage military bases where armor sat in waiting, and their final target would be artillery points and remaining anti-air positions, which would be taken out with long-range missiles.

The last thing before the invasion itself would be the naval warfare. Michael Saviri had worked tirelessly on anti-ship missiles, massive creatures designed for taking out ships. Most of these missiles in possession of the Commonwealth launched, aimed at the Bavarian navy docked in the Adriatic Sea. Meanwhile, the Navy now positioned at the exit of the Adriatic Sea into the Meditterranean, began to establish a blockade concerning all trade going into and out of Bavaria by the sea. Those that attempted to go into Bavaria were turned around, and those attempting to come out were detained. Those that resisted were destroyed and their ships made into scrap parts. At least, that was the intention.

Then, the ground attacks would ensue. These would also come in three different waves. Firstly, there would be an attack of a hundred thousand, belonging to Army Group Four mostly to confuse those reading this, on a movement down roads into Bavaria, near populated areas. It was expected that this first wave would meet heavy resistance since it was the first army entering Bavaria, and as soon as they did meet resistance, Army Group One would move in as the second wave, to help the Fourth in their task, and specifically where needed. The Fourth Army had specific targets of semi-major Bavarian cities by the end of the first week of the Invasion, and if they reached these targets sooner, then all the better.

bavariawave1.png

Movements of the first wave of Czech troops, Army Group Four

Roughly fifteen minutes later, once the Fourth Army had begun to encounter Bavarian resistance, the First Army moved in. Because the Fourth Army was in mostly mechanized vehicles, they took little damage initially until the Bavarians began to counter with larger weapons. Czech Armor as well as Czech gunships moved to take out the most fierce of the Bavarian attackers. The First Army moved into Bavaria in places which the Fourth had not touched, near the less populated regions. They were now capable of moving behind the Bavarian army which was busy attacking the already invading Fourth.

bavariawave2.png

After this had all ensued, and intense fighting had begun in Bavaria between Czech and Bavarian soldiers, and as the Czechs began to gain the advantage, the third wave of Czech fighters moved into Bavaria. The Second, Third, and Fifth armies all moved in ways and into positions where it would most benefit the already attacking forces.

bavariawave3.png

Because all of these troops and armies were made of highly mobile troops, they were capable of rapidly tracking down portions of the Bavarian army as well as moving quickly into Bavaria and outflanking the more immobile Bavarian army.

Declaration of War

The Holy Roman Empire has proclaimed themselves the “Heirs of the HRE” and have claimed land of other nations without a solid backing of proof. They’ve violated the sovereignty of Europe, and as such, Drakoria hereby declares war on the Holy Roman Empire.

Long-ranged 2S7 Pion artillery at the Holy Roman border opened fire upon Roman defensive positions. Thirty-five aircraft squadrons (10 Tu-160 bomber squadrons and 25 F-22 fighter squadrons) lifted off from Prague and flew towards the Holy Romans.

Three army groups that had been organized began to fulfill their roles.

Army Group A

Strength: 100,000 soldiers and Marines, 400 tanks, 1,500 armored vehicles, 1,000 artillery

Role: Simple. Attack.

Army Group B

Strength: 100,000 soldiers and Marines, 500 tanks, 2,000 armored vehicles, 1,000 artillery

Role: Support Army Group A, hold the rear line.

Army Group A held a line at the artillery, 27 miles from the Bavarian lines.

Mobilization of the Markswehr has begun. Moving out of Eastern Schweiz, 50,000 troops, split into small groups to easily traverse the Alps, began moving to the border to Austria. The remainder of the Markwehr began to shift towards the East, pulling out of Elsass-Lothringen and into Schweiz. Troops from the North also began to move Southeast to bolster the Heer’s ranks.

The first expeditionary force was led by General Brunwald, which was allotted chopper, interceptor and armor support. The tanks slowed the infantry’s advance slightly, but the soldiers and tank crews were used to Alpine terrain and would still be considered proficient at navigating the environment.

At the same time, the Tu-160’s began bombing runs on Liechtenstein, supported by groups of Raptors. They were careful to bomb military targets in Liechtenstein, as well as the neighboring province in Austria.

As the day crept on, the marshalling of the Markswehr was nearing completion, utilizing airlifts to get troops to the border and front. The tanks moved to the fore and back, while APC’s mixed with the foot infantry. Towed artillery also began taking positions and supplemented the assault of the Voralburg and Liechtenstein.

Also, Gepard AA’s were brought along to support the advancing infantry groups, even though they were spread out to dampen the effectiveness of bombing runs on the advance, in concert with the Raptors assigned to guard the Heer’s advance.

Liechtenstein:

The artillery began their full assault. Their main purpose was to suppress traffic out of the city-state. A few tanks supplemented in this mission, moving often so as to confuse the enemy, which was most likely in a state of disarray because of the surprise nature of the attack.

Bombers flew overhead, aiming for the industrial centers of the city as well as military targets. From there they would move up to the Voralburg, helping in the assault there.

Ground troops began to push their way towards the city, allowing the tanks, IFV’s and APC’s to take the point. The Behemoth IFV’s let loose with their less-powerful BTP-2 cannons on infantry holds while the tanks focused on fortification and structural damage. Their intention was to establish a metaphorical beachhead within the city and they were drawing close.

Numbers:

25,000 spread out troops w/ 500 tanks

20 bombers

30 Fighters for defense

Assorted AA, Artillery, APC's/IFV's

More Coming.

Voralburg:

Bombers streaked overhead, coming in from the Liechtenstein south as well as from Rheinmark proper. Much like Liechtenstein, artillery began to set up and begin firing, while mechanized infantry advances slowly pushed inwards.

They advancements were sure to be slow, but soon help would arrive.

Numbers:

25,000 soldiers w/ 1,000 tanks

30 Bombers

40 Fighters for defense

Assorted Support

Albert Tanzband stood in Berlin, at the steps of the Reichstag and addressed a group of legislators, soldiers, press and citizens that stood for blocks.

He spoke strongly and with ability, something not heard from the often soft-spoken and coolheaded leader of Prussia.

"The position of Prussia in Europe and the World will not be determined by its liberalism but by its power. Prussia and the Eurasian Union must concentrate its strength and hold it for the favorable moment, which has already come and gone several times. Since the treaties of Vienna and the Central European Union, our frontiers have been ill-designed for a healthy body politic. Not through speeches and majority decisions will the great questions of the day be decided - that was the great mistake of the Central European Union and Greater Nordland - but by Iron and Blood.

I must protest that I would never seek foreign conflicts just to go over domestic difficulties; that would be frivolous. I am speaking of conflicts that we could not avoid, even though we do not seek them. It is conflicts such as the situation in Europe of late with the wretched actions made by those who lead the Holy Roman Empire and the former Bavaria.

So clobbeth the Bavarian so that they despair; they have my deepest sympathy for their situation, but, if we want to exist, we have no choice but to wipe them out; the wolf cannot help it that he was created by God the way he is, but one shoots him yet, if one can.

When discussing resolutions for the current situation and those previous with the Bavarians, we were met by only snide remark and false promises of freedom of states that did not appear. Although they wish the world to see them as gentlemen, they were indeed held in the heart of pirates. With a gentleman I am always a gentleman and a half, and when I have to do with a pirate, I try to be a pirate and a half.

The soothsayers of The Holy Roman Empire will have you say that their empire will be a benefit to the world. No, they only speak to preserve their lies and hate upon the people of Prussia, the people of Europe and the people of the world. A conquering army on the border will not be stopped by eloquence and lies. Tonight we make a stand! Tonight we ride for victory in Europe! "

*Mobilizations *

Prussian stealth bombers flew high over the skies of the industrial centers of Bavaria, bombing strategic points of industry and bridges, with a priority on bombing airfields and their runways. Additionally, Tactical jägerbomber groups have begun scanning the border regions for infantry movements made by the HRE forces and have begun engaging their targets on the ground.

Armeegruppe Gunther began to move in a swept V pattern across the border, noting to spread out to avoid aerial or artillery bombardment.

Additionally, 10,000 Gebirgsjäger troops have been Para-dropped in the south of Bavaria as scouts and to clear the way for a mass assault coming from regular infantry units.

Prussia was indeed ready, Fall Bayern had begun.

The Polish Armies sitting in the northern Bavarian border have been waiting. They have been waiting for this invasion since they were deployed. They'll be defending the Commonwealth from attack, the nation that has been their only home.

"Polish Armies 1-3, you will have the honor of moving into Bavaria. Armies 4-5, you will set up fortifications and prepare to reinforce the line. Be alert and be ready for anything they through at us. They will shoot from the mountains. They will shoot from the trees. Push forward, always. We will demoralize their troops, we will push them to their capital. They wanted to form a new empire. They have brought war to their lands because of it."

The Major ordered his men to invade. They have been waiting for this since Bavaria claimed its right to their land. They wouldn't surrender and they won't retreat. The commonwealth is their home, and nothing will stand in the way against the invasion that was about to occur.

The armies invaded Bavaria, being sure to protect the Czech's flank, moving along side them. Tank and artillery groups were scattered amongst the infantry as they moved forward. The soldiers were determined.

Snippet of a Live Broadcast from the Prime Minister's Office

The people and leadership are determined to take the most radical measures. The broad working masses of our people are not unhappy because the government is too ruthless. If anything, they are unhappy because it is too considerate to Imperialist elements in Europe. Ask anyone in Germany, and he will say: The most radical is just radical enough, and the most total is just total enough to gain victory.

It is time to get the slackers moving. They must be shaken out of their comfortable ease. We cannot wait until they come to their senses. That might be too late. The alarm must sound throughout free Europa. Millions of hands must get to work throughout the continent. The measures we have taken, and the ones we will now take, are critical for our whole public and private life. The individual may have to make great sacrifices, but they are tiny when compared to the sacrifices he would have to make if his refusal brought down on us the greatest national disaster. It is better to operate at the right time than to wait until the disease has taken root. One may not complain to the doctor or sue him for bodily injury. He cuts not to kill, but to save the patient's life.

Therefore I say, Storm BREAK LOOSE.

Air Operations:

With the opening of hostilities, the first combat operations began. The Dalmatia Airforce had assembled 15 squadrons of the Su-34 Fullback Long range fighter-bombers. More could have been mobilized, obviously, but due to the suddenness of the conflict, the airforce didn't have enough time to shift available units. Most of the units taking part in the operation were already in airforce squadrons assigned to airfields close to Bavaria. Within minutes of being given the go ahead, the Su-34 FullBacks launched into the blue skies. Some pilots were excited while others are more nervous than anything. After all, this was the first real test for the Dalmatia Military since it's creation.

With ordered from the Air Force High Command, the task of the Su-34s were to concetrate on border air defenses and any ground defenses the enemy could have assembled. To complete this task, the Su-34s would conduct around the clock sorties with an assortment of high tech munitions. Weapons such as the Jachont air-to-ground missiles, KAB-500L/KR and KAB-1500L guided bombs would give the Su-34s excellent stand-off attack capabilities, which they used to the fullest of their extent. Included in this deadly arsenal of missiles and bombs were also long range air defense suppression missiles. Missiles, which were designed to destroy enemy RADAR systems, leaving the nation of Bavaria totally in the dark. Indeed, it would be a colossal task, but the Dalmatia High Command knew it was possible to achieve.

In the skies, ten squadrons of Tu-160 supersonic, variable-geometry heavy bombers were flying. Of course the heavy bombers stayed in formation in Dalmatia Airspace, as to avoid getting shot down by enemy fighters and possible Surface-to-Air Missile Systems. Five Squadrons were equipped with 6 × modified Air Suppression Raduga Kh-55 cruise missiles, which had the goal of taking out enemy communication and air RADAR/DEFENSES, and the other five were equipped with the regular KH-55s, which were targeted towards important fuel dumps, roads and bridges. Upon unloading their missiles, the bombers would simply turn around and re-stock, continuing the same process until High Command felt the need for it to end. Needless to say, the Bavarians would be shocked and totally disabled when the air carnage ended.

WAR!

As if it had needed to be said. The boots on the ground knew why they were in Europe, the hellhole, a continent that only brought back memories of death and destruction. It has been characterized by one event, one conflict, that changed Rebel Army forever. Now it seems the RA had more conflict to do with Europe, but this time, to defend their allies and ensure that a heinous threat is not given the chance to arise. Yes, today the RA was to go on the offensive, a preemptive attack. There were few of these attacks ever done by the RA, most notably against the Kingdom of Persia and Imperial Wellington. Now they are against the Holy Roman Empir, another belligerent German nation.

-----------------

The first of the Rebel Army forces to move would be the Rebel Navy. Since the signing of the Eurasian Union and the Hungarian conflict, the Rebel Navy had been on stand-by, in some cases doing patrols and drills. Now each and every ship had been ordered to set sail, towards a specific area in the Italian-Baltic corridor. There they would set up and wait, with the occasional movement or two, for the Austrian Navy. It would be an planned and easy to spot ambush, but if the Austrians wished to engage the Eurasians in the sea, it would be their only option.

-----------------

Amongst the planning and plotting of Austria's downfall, the RA Expeditionary Force had be divided up into three separate task forces, REF Bayern, REF Balkans I, and REF Balkans II. REF Bayern had be geared up and pressed for a strike into the southernmost regions of Bavaria, such as Munich, where extremely heavy resistance was expected. They did not have many vehicles and armour, as southern Bavaria was mainly hills, mountains, and urban terrain. Though, they did have a fair deal of "normal" soldiers that were partially equipped, in order to deal with larger threats if needed. The task force wasn't going anywhere that quickly, but they would take and hold every single inch of ground they pushed forwards, and not get slaughtered in the process.

-----------------

Austria... This was the capital of the new HRE. It had been recently acquired by Bavaria, along with other Balkan holdings, then Bayern died, and the Romans rose. Now they were going to fall, as quickly as they soared. REF Balkans I was equipped with a few mountain/hill specialists units, though they were mainly "normal" soldiers and approximately half of all the armour and vehicles the REF had. They were to blitz Austria, and do it as efficiently and fast as possible. If they could hit strong enough and fast enough, the Austrians wouldn't be able to hit back in an organized and coordinated manner. And even more importantly, they would be able to take the capital of the HRE, and hopefully much of it's government. Time was against them, and the Rebels will not fail.

-----------------

The Balkans were always a turmoil-filled region. From the many clashes in history, to the rule of the Austrians of old and the Ottomans, and finally, to the brutal, nuclear, Balkan War, they were a region that decided the fate of many empires, countries, and the end of millions. Now the Rebel Army was back in the place of death and destruction. REF Balkans II had all the still serving and surviving members of the RA Protectorate force stationed in the Balkans. They hated this place. To them, the only thing they remember was the death of their comrades, and the horrifying mushroom clouds, of a retreat turned to slaughter. Yet, they knew the area like the back of their hand, the corridors and alleyways, the parks and hills, all fresh in their minds. Now they were going to put all that memory to use, to lead, to push onwards, for victory. REF Balkans II was to push through the vulnerable underside of the HRE, and make the enemy pay for forcing them back into this hell of land and memories.

The first combat operations are now well underway- backed by Army Group Gunther Dutch troops are currently attacking Ludwigsstadt again. At this moment mortars are being put into position and Dutch artillery has taken up positions on the hills overlooking the city.

We now only hope that Ludwigsstadt will surrender and a blood bath won't be needed. We have nothing against the Bavarians as a nation.

"And the Eurasian Union rears it's true head. Not one of peace, but of pointless, bloody war. We are, for lack of a better word, sickened by the tactics of this alliance. Why on Earth would a union, self proclaimed to be for peace in Europe declare war before even attempting diplomatic relations, let alone listening to the fact that The Holy Roman Empire stated that they had no intentions of invading any of you? The answer of course being, it would not. The only plausible way you could be trying to create peace is by destroying all nations that stand in your way."

Rakata condemns this campaign of aggression in the strongest manner possible. We had hoped that war would not come once again to Europe so soon, but alas, we are disappointed. We still urge all parties to work together to come to a diplomatic solution, and offer our services alongside Molokia's as a mediator. We also pledge our forces as a peacekeeping contingent if any nation deems it acceptable.

Official Norman Declaration of War, Nyahemstad

overbearingmanbyheise.jpg

Elrich von Richt stood on the podium, and began an announce to the Norman people.

"I reject these claims to Norman land. The Hapsburg Family shall not have an inch of our soil. Regardless of nationality, French or Scandinavian, we stand by a common united name, and are proud to call ourselves brothers. We are not known by nationality, for we are Norman. Together, we shall stand hand and hand, French and Scandinavian, and fight this blatant claim, and mockery of an empire.

Tyrants have no place in Europa, your claims are false, and you hold no true reign in Norman territory. Our people, our culture, our very existence is threatened by your recent acts. Together, we stand hand in hand at this hour, regardless of nationality, at the dawning of another dark European chapter. We echo the call of the Netherlands. While we enjoy remaining mostly neutral, we find the time is right to now begin action. Our people, our culture, our borders are now mobilized. Normandie aller död! For Freedom, we Fight! We stand in the darkest hour, we stand in hand with those who view these claims as unjust and base. We stand for liberty, for those who could be oppressed under this nation.
