Announcement from VE, AZTEC, ARES, and MCXA

Recommended Posts

The pleasure was all ours :) and we could not have done it without the rest of AZTEC.

It was my pleasure Hizzy, as you're *obviously* talking about me in this response.

Me oh my, I don't even know where to start. Hell, NV didn't even have a part in this little convo. Might I suggest you read it again? Oh and If you want to continue this conversation after re-reading it a few times please feel free to PM me :)

This has already been addressed but I feel it needs me to as well. Your right NV wasn't the direct target, but WE were. Now explain it away. Go ahead, I'll only laugh at the attempt.

See, it's ironic for Valhalla to be the expert on "charging in" because, like, at the start of this war, they all went into peace mode. It was a mass "charging out" or an "advance in reverse". An "impromptu strategic withdrawal." A "23 Skidoo." An "amscray." A "grand beetle off." No one was there to help move chefjoe's drinks cabinet 6 inches closer to Archon's castle. The doves rested on the cannons. Someone gave a war and no one from Valhalla came.

Ummm no, we were the second wave. Running from a fight isn't our nature and to think otherwise is frankly insulting.

Let's end these harsh words on the note of respect I'm offering here. Valhalla will recover from its minor glitch and move on to a new strength. Fight bravely and may your god of war guide you through all conflict to the lesson on the other side.

Let's, I have no quarrel with NV and I'd prefer to keep it that way :)

what hizzy said although I do suppose that his original "you are too weak to do anything" post was directed at GLOF it does not change the fact that he was trying to gain an air of superiority.

He was saying that the reason Echelon are weak is because they're "fighting the world" as opposed to GLOF just being weak. If that's attempting to gain an air of superiority in your mind then so be it, but in my mind it's pretty much just a factual statement :)

Nevertheless I'm guessing we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this issue.

Ummm no, we were the second wave.

Aha! So, this whole war, including the 'peace negotiations' with Ordo Verde before it started, was all planned in advance by the Hegemony? Because you ran to peace mode a day or two before the war even started, so if you were a planned second wave then clearly your side had no intention of coming to a peaceful resolution at any point.

Bob Janova, with the win.

We didn't find out about the OV thing until a day or two after the peace mode move, so no.

Nice try though :)

Have you ever heard of the idea of preparing for war in the event peace talks fail?

So you were second wave for a war you didn't know was going to happen?

Also, I know for a fact that there aren't 'rumours of war' within Continuum, there is war planning, which would have been going on before the NPO, TORN and TPF ever went to talk to OV. The rest of us were working off rumours but you guys, as the aggressors, would have been planning it all for some time.

You're better than this Bob. If war did break out (we were expecting one to break out, as I think everyone was) we would be second wave. It's really not that complicated.

There is some delicious irony in all this. If only your facts were as they are so aptly named, facts, then you'd have spotted it :)

Oh, c'mon, Bob. There were open threats going on all over the forums for months before this war broke out. You'd have to be crazy not to be getting ready for it.

Here's one that was directed at me.

When the people on your side are putting up a "do something about it" attitude, surely you're aware that that tends to mean a war is coming soon? Or are you still holding to the idea that this war came completely out of the blue and you were totally surprised by it?

Valhalla wasn't in peace mode for months though. There's a difference between rumors flying around and planning for immediate action. As our side had no intention of starting anything, and it is asserted above that it wasn't in preparation for the assault on Ordo Verde, it does pique curiosity.

Then why was your side daring me to attack them?

Really so when I go through my logs and dig up a query from a top government member of one of your allies telling me that his allies were making preparations for war (right about the time you went into PM) how are you going to explain that away?

Posturing of that nature is hardly uncommon around here. Taking that to mean that an incoming attack is imminent is quite a stretch.

Perhaps it's just me, but when I used to see noWedge posture in such a way, I would start preparing for war.

lol... see I told you I'd laugh... but now to correct your poorly placed defense.

LOL! just re-read everything...

Here's the run-down for you folks that missed it:

Me: We don't want to re-declare on MCXA. They're hurt and kicking someone when they're down isn't our style.

Leetopia: lol! You're to weak to hurt anyone unless they're already down!

Raasaa: funny coming from you

Leetopia: we're fighting the world you?

Smart people: lol... GLoF fought the world last time!

Smart people: lolx2... the AZTEC bloc (GLoF being the 2nd largest alliance in it) beat up MCXA more than VE did.

King Suck: you're still weak

me: givin the rundown

so now we're at present time.

I'd like to point out to King Suck that we're not weak since he thinks that this is "factual". Tell me when was the last time a 60th ranked alliance beat a 5th ranked alliance? If you're basing your assumptions on the last war then you're just failing... period... any alliance would fall to almost the entire orange sphere + PC. Go ahead prove me wrong... next war just declare on Orange and PC. Reference this. I'm sure that the rest of the world would love to see you try to win. (you won't btw)

Good point. You got us; we were planning a frontal assault but Aurion screwed up OpSec with that obvious giveaway. I'm surprised that there was anyone who wasn't in peace mode after a post like that.

Oh, for heaven's sakes. Are you really going to pretend there weren't hundreds of posts like that all over the forums? Not from STA, but definitely from a number of alliances now making up Karma.

I just kept that one on file because it was directed at me.
