Does NSO Run Legacy?

So I came across something I found interesting/amusing quite recently. I've been following the Legion/Tetris war with a bit of an interest. One of the things I saw was several members joining each side. This happens enough, sure, so whatever. Members leave alliances and join others, this especially happens during war time. One of the names I noticed was August Heimmsmeyer (better known as King Kaiser) from Legacy; he joined the New Sith Order. Big loss for Legacy to have their FA guy depart to fight in the Incompetence Extravaganza.

Then, yesterday, while checking out the OWF I noticed Legacy had their first ever elections. The first thing that jumped out at my eyes was "Minister of Foreign Affairs: King Kaiser". Now, that can't be right... Legacy just elected a member of NSO to be their head of FA? No way. I decided to get answers:

01[20:45] <%Gibsonator21> Sarmatian[Legacy]

[20:45] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> sup

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> i thought King Kaiser was in NSO?

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> how is he your MoFA?

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> nah

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> he aint

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> in NSO? or he aint your MoFA?

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> he had the tag as a joke

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> i dont know what tag you're talking about

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> trust me, ive had a few i am lame members changing tags <_<

[20:47] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> oh

[20:47] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> then what do you speak of

01[20:47] <%Gibsonator21> his AA reads New Sith Order, but in your announcement it says he's your MoFA

[20:47] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> his AA is legacy

01[20:47] <%Gibsonator21> link?

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> 227416

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> $%&@

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=227416

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> thats his nation, isnt it?

[20:48] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> no

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> then whats his?

[20:48] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> watched it at one point

[20:49] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> why should i tellyou that :P

01[20:49] <%Gibsonator21> because i want to know why your MoFA is in NSO

01[20:50] <%Gibsonator21> lol, i've got logs of him giving me that link, so i know its ihm

01[20:50] <%Gibsonator21> him*

[20:50] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> i know

[20:50] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> i was texting him about it last night

01[20:50] <%Gibsonator21> he's been there for 5 days lol

06[20:51] * +Sarmatian[Legacy] sigh

Sarm went AFK moments later. I didn't get a real answer, so maybe someone else can explain it to me. Why is Legacy's Minister of Foreign Affairs currently a member of the New Sith Order? Does NSO run Legacy? Is Legacy supporting NSO militarily in their war against The Legion?

He wanted war. That's fine. He left Legacy to join NSO and fight for them. But yet, he's still an upper-gov member of Legacy. And since there were elections, he was put in charge after he left Legacy. So, like I said: Either an NSO member is government in Legacy, or Legacy is supporting NSO militarily in this war.

Again, so what? Thats a matter for legacy to deal with.

[21:37] <%WickedJ> I wanted the job of MoFA since theres a big hoopla over yours fighting for NSO

[21:37] <%WickedJ> then Gibs can report on your MoFA being in Olympus

Legacy is denying it, as shown in the logs in the OP. If they're not dealing with it, then people should be made aware of what's going on - that they (1.) have an NSO members in gov, or (2.) are supporting NSO militarily. If you don't care, then why bother posting?

Also, way to post pointless logs. Unless you ran for Legacy MoFA and lost, in which case, lol sucks to be you.

Being government in an alliance you're not a member of is totally normal, shut up Gibs.

Let me put this another way. King Kaiser is currently flying the New Sith Order alliance affiliation. That means that he is a member of the New Sith Order, or at the very least not a member of Legacy. Legacy either has an NSO member or a ghost/rogue as their head of foreign affairs. You think if, say, a member of Invicta's government joined SOS to fight NG while Invicta was still claiming them as a member and member of government that people wouldn't raise a big stink over it and view it as Invicta providing military support to SOS? Legacy isn't even allied to NSO, so it's even worse.

Don't make dumb comments about Invicta or SOS either, that isn't the issue. Replace the examples if you like.

This has nothing to do with you gibsontater. Thus, Legacy doesn't really have to tell you anything. This is a Legion - Legacy affair not a Gib - Legacy affair. And I bet 90% of the people who read this aren't going to give a !@#$. It happens every war. People ghost a side to fight, CSN did it to DT.

If that were the case, those who left would resign their position. We've been through that circle a lot before.

Probably not, no. But that doesn't stop others. Example you ask? Go look at Zog posting stuff from SF's private forums a month or so ago. That certainly was his issue, right?

90% may not care, but I care. It's my blog, I created it to ask Legacy a question that was being ignored in their gov announcement thread, and talked around on IRC. If Sarm doesn't want to answer, that's fine, it's his call. But I'm asking a question, and I'm certain others have the same question. If you don't, tough !@#$ I guess.

And I don't recall a member leaving an alliance to fight for another, then being elected into government in the alliance he just left. Ever. Care to tell me when it's happened before? Thanks in advance.

Who gives a flying $%&@ if theyre denying it. Sarm is ok with his MoFA being on the NSO AA to knock the !@#$ out of Legion end of story

In short, Sorry Gibs but you;re being an attention whore. Go call out Invicta..thats fun

So then Legacy is assisting in military action against The Legion. Gotcha.

And lol, what's that saying about a pot and a kettle? Go brush your stache.

One nation will not change the fact that NSO is being beaten so I don't care, even if the nation in question is a high gov of Legacy, this just shows how amateur is the leadership of Legacy.

Well, it shows it more so, in any case.

I don't think this would be the first instance of double membership. Is it confirmed that NSO accepted him in their ranks, anyway? Or is he technically just a ghost?

With that said, as a government level person and a war are involved, I can understand the train of thought that could lead The Legion to hold this event against Legacy (whether The Legion currently has and/or will ever have the power to do something about it, or not).

I am puzzled by this blog entry's title, anyway. A government member (not supreme leadership) of Legacy ghosting or being a grunt in NSO doesn't mean that the NSO "runs Legacy", does it?
