We as an alliance stand before you today to defend our name and our actions at a critical point in our timeline. Some of you may have heard that the Emperor of FAR, Fernando12, stood down a couple of weeks ago. You may also know that he ordered attacks by FAR nations on \m/ which resulted in him being ZI'ed. We stand before you today to announce that his actions were in no way the actions of FAR. We apologize to our members. We apologize to our friends. We apologize to \m/ for the problems caused by our rogue Ex-Leader. Now, because of his selfish actions, we are faced with a choice. Disband or move on? Our members are leaving us each day. Things may not look so great from the outside, but the storm is passing. In a way, we are better off then we were 2 weeks ago when we were safely over 1 million ns and nearly 80 members. It all depends on how you look at it. FAR may be plummeting in the oh so important stats department, but that is only because we are purifying the alliance. Stripping it clean of those who held us back, who took without giving. We will reach our former glory, we will surpass ourselves and we will make our time in the sun last a bit longer next time. Today, Planet Bob, the Federation of Allied Republics returns with a new plan! We are not the FAR that has been for the past month or so, and definitely not the FAR that you have seen over the past weeks. We return as the Federation of Allied Republics as it was originally planned. The FAR that held strong views for the future, The FAR that achieved over 1 million nation strength. Ladies and Gentlemen, we may have had a stroke of bad luck (doesn't everyone), but we will not disband, we will not fall into darkness and we will not watch our loyal members be crushed by the world. The duties are getting distributed correctly to an active government like they should have been all along. I believe it is directly addressed in there. We're paying for what was done. Last time I checked its quite hard to control those who cannot be controlled. If it makes you feel better, some of them went rogue on us too. I'm glad everyone that I had to deal with from \m/ were much more competent and respectable, because if they shared the same attitudes of the two of you, things would probably be much different. You still have the same AA. A name is made by the actions of its members. That being said, I'm sure the stigma of FAR will go away eventually, it's merely fresh in my mind having to reaid my members because of your AA doing what it has done. [/quote] I'm sorry about that, I truly am. I mean, if \m/ nations suddenly started going rogue on us because of the actions of someone not in charge, I would be upset too. I don't think, however, that I would hate \m/ and their leadership for it. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't believe that I would act in the same way. I'm sure you have a fine level of competency, but to just rush in here and go off on us really seems like a poor show. I'm not trying to change anything by saying how I believe I would feel, I'm just saying. You can feel how you want about it, but I just think that such hate is going a bit overboard. Those nations can be brought back up to strength in relatively short order. However, the damage caused to FAR by his actions are of a longer lasting consequence. He more than cut our membership and our nation strength in half. He sullied the reputation of FAR, an alliance known for integrity and honest dealings. We are grateful for the level headed response from \m/ during the crisis and, we too, hope that the interactions between our alliances can remain as cordial as they have always been. And now we press forward in restructuring a better and greater Federation of Allied Republics. Our thanks to those of you who have posted here and wished us well.
