The United States hereby condemns imperialism in all its forms.

We shall no longer take any land that has no government without a referendum to determine the will of the people. We shall not force any nation or state under the protection of the United States, it will have to be a choice of those people.

We hold the rights of the people as Sovereign. Their destiny is their choice. Only after they have signed the Constitution of the United States are they part of any social contract which requires continued unity for they have unified our destinies.

So, is the United States condemning their ally in Louisiana, a publicly vocal imperialist nation and supporter of imperialism?

Edit:

Or is the U.S.'s condemnation only in regards to past U.S. actions?

The Black Phoenix empire, is pro-imperialist also like the nation of Louisiana. And we also find it weird that a nation founded on imperialism, is now trying to reject it?

The United States of America is hereby formally hailed, throughout the Dominican Republic, as a hero in the fight against imperialism. In time the U.S. has reversed its image as itself being an imperialist nation, towards the valiant path against it. We find this declaration most honorable and promise our support. Viva los Estados Unidos!

We of Himynamistan support this declaration of the USA's. If they hold to these principles, they shall do much to erase the burden of history that lies behind them. We of Himynamistan oppose imperialism and will only accept new lands into our nation at the request of the inhabitants of those lands from this point forward.

"Those alluding to our history forget we were called to the aid of our former states to liberate them from a bad situation. They have been. Some elected to join us, others sought total liberty and we've given it. That said, while we have expanded.. it has not been imperialistic expansion, but the will of the people. We welcome the support of Dominican Republic and Himynamistan. We may be ridiculed, but fighting for freedom in this world has never been the easy course."

Regards,
President William Caudill

The questions were submitted again, as the United States' President failed to address Louisianan concerns with his first remarks.

Consider the cancellation clause of our treaty in effect. Next time, learn about your allies. The Cuban people are quite happy to be apart of Louisiana. Continue on with this silly moral crusade of yours and you will have no allies left.

If that is how it is to be, then it is to be. We will not compromise our morals for the sake of our security.

If you feel the people of Cuba are content to be under your rule.. allow them to vote and demonstrate their content. I'm sure it will be a morale booster. Your cancellation period has begun as requested.

Private communique from Zzzptm to Caudill...

We're saddened to see Louisiana cut its ties with your nation, but we are interested in securing peace in the hemisphere through defensive treaty arrangements. If you're interested, we would be pleased to host a representative from your nation to work out some sort of arrangement.

PRIVATE

President Richard Mercton raised an eyebrow as he watched the news on his HDTV in his office in Endor Cuidad. The United States disavowing imperialism? Surely, this had to be one of the most strangest things that had ever happened in the planet's history.

For a long time, the first United States expanded in power, land, and influence through imperialism in every form concievable. This applied to the second one as well. Mercton wondered how the third and current United States is going to go about its new foreign policy. Was the United States going to go as far in its condemnation of imperialism that it is going to combat them, as in what the first Tahoe did in enforcing its version of the Monroe Doctrine?

He hoped not, but for now, he'd wait and see.

PUBLIC

The J Andrean Government made no comment, even though several officials made several unflattering comments regarding this.

President HI public message:

First, cough up the land you had demanded from Tahoe. Then we will take you seriously.

If not, then don't be surprised when I decide to try and submit the video clip of you declaring war on imperialism to America's Funniest Videos show. I might even earn $10,000 and maybe even an additional $100,000 from the video clip.
