Alaska Front: Operation Wolverine
The occupation of Anchorage came as a surprise. The flood of troops into the city escorted by hundreds of armored vehicles led to shocked civilians watching columns march and drive by. The calling up of the National Militia days before meant most men aged 15-55 were in Elmendorf AFB for equipping. The occupying troops made it clear civilians were to stay inside and militamen called family and told them the same, as community elders organized a carefully planned evacuation into the cities bomb shelters. Although normally the shelters could hold on 60% of the population, the large number of men missing meant most civilians made it into the shelters safely.

The only major point of resistance (other than old men defending their house with hunting rifles) was the Anchorage Police Department headquarters, where 100 officers turned the surrounding blocks into a veritable fortress, hoping for a quick counter attack. Their request would be granted. From Elmendorf Air Force Base, the Tahoan Military sprung into action. Tens of thousands of soldiers, both Regular Army and Alaska National Guard and nearly 40,000 militia established a long front bottling the Canadian troops in Anchorage. From surrounding mountaintops, artillery and missiles began to rain down on the city as dozens of Tahoan fighters took to the sky, sweeping the incredibly inferior opponent before them. Coast Guard and Naval Vessels from across Alaska gathered to strike at the invasion fleet.

One carrier, four cruisers, two destroyers, a frigate and submarine, along with various coast guard cutters and patrol ships gathered in the Cook Inlet, trapping the Canadian fleet

To the north, along the border, Wilson Empire crossed into Alaska with little resistance. As they pushed forward, guerrilla attacks began to harrass rear echelon troops. Every bridge, every rough road, every tunnel before them was destroyed, forcing the army cross country across the inhospitable Alaska wilderness.

Governor Sarah Palin, speaking from Alaskas capital in Juneau, told reporters that a defensive line was being established across Southern Alaska following closely the Alaska Range of mountains stretching from the Sea to sea, requiring a minimum amount of troops to hold the narrow passes that would be nearly impossible to pass until summer, when the snow melted and opened them up. In the meantime, Tahoan soldiers would use every weapon in their arsenal, including chemical weapons, to repulse attacks through the narrow bottlenecks that were being turned into killing grounds, making the most of their large technological superiority.

Cuba Front: Operation Gladio
Air raid sirens over Cuba. Major General Imrallan, commander of the Cuban garrison had just been informed of the massive assault taking place against Cuba. This would be a problem in the best of times, since Cuba wasn't considered very highly and the actual population of Tahoans was relatively low. An apathetic public, sometimes hostile civilian government and distance all made this one of the worst places in Tahoe. Ah yes, even better, Admiral Collins had just reported that his fleet was steaming for Transvaal as it did not have the capability to withstand the combined might of the enemy fleet.
He now could count on only 45,000 troops and less than a hundred aircraft. Though he knew his troops were better trained, better equipped and more motivated than their enemies, the odds were long. The 50,000 militia who had turned up (most Tahoan settlers preferred to stay home and protect their families than marching into the mountainous interior to prepare to wage a guerrilla war) were mostly well armed, but certainly no unit training. Oh many could shoot magnificently and more than a few had true wilderness survival skills. But how would they react when facing a well equipped enemy?
General Imrallan dispersed his troops towards the center of the island, towards the mountain airfields operated by the Air Force and away from naval bombardments. He could not possibly defend the coast, not against overwhelming numbers. Instead, Havana was garrisoned by 8,000 soldiers and 20,000 militia. They would hold out well against vastly superior numbers, but were destined to fall. That was acceptable to the General, as they would cause major casualties and tie up large number of enemies, allowing further time to develop the cave network that was being built in the center of the island. Crude, but effective, it would maximize the Tahoan’s technological advantage and minimize the disadvantage in numbers. Was his army destined to fall, just like Havana? Yes, yes it was. The general knew this. Once his army was defeated they would melt away and fight a guerrilla war as long as they lived.

Hawaii Front: Operation Neptune
Damon Eannach had received his orders along with a promotion to Field Marshal. The highest rank that could be awarded to a Tahoan officer was historically a great honor. Eannach knew, however, that it was also given to officers leading heroic last stands and despite assurances from the General Headquarters in Cruachan that assistance would arrive as soon as possible, Eannach happened to have access to the largest SOSUS and radar network in the Pacific. He saw the fleets steaming towards Hawaii. He saw the fleets bypassing Hawaii and engaging the Tahoan Navy along the coast of America. He also saw the planned relief battle group retreat and take up position to smash the fleet attacking Alaska.
General…no, Field Marshal Eannach had one definite advantage. A technologically inferior enemy required massive amounts of manpower to attack Fortress Hawaii. Unfortunately they had that manpower, luckily that meant massive casualties. Fortress Hawaii was the nickname given to the island chains following earlier tensions in the Pacific. Nearly every island was strongly fortified with hundreds of strong points, massive cave networks and bunkers. Every good landing beach was pre sighted for artillery, firing out of hardpoints in the mountains that were at the center of every island. Small forces could cause huge casualties by fighting out of their fixed positions, a job that fell most often to the militia. Regular army forces had been trained to sally forth and make attacks against the invasion force.
Of all the islands though, Oahu was the most fortified. All of the air force, 70% of the regular army and by far the largest militia force, a total of 110,000 troops total defended the island. The forces were arrayed to the north and south, guarding the invasion beaches (beaches on the west and east of the island were unsuitable to landing, though forces did guard them against commando landings). As enemy ships came within 200 miles, the Tahoan carrier battle group proceeded to sea from Pearl Harbor, launching missiles and its aircraft joined the hundreds of land based craft in attacking the enemy fleets. Though hugely outnumbered, their technological superiority allowed some degree of parity, inflicting large casualties, though taking large numbers in return. Downed pilots would die or be captured, as no search and rescue could be spared.

Oregon Front: Operation Grand Slam
When the Distopyan fleet appeared off the coast of Oregon President O’Deaghaidh laughed. Every front of this war was being fought against overwhelming numbers, but in the homeland there were hundreds of thousands of soldiers and almost all of the heavy equipment (tanks, APCs, self propelled artillery, ect) possessed by the Tahoan Military.
The Distopyan fleet was immediately attacked by two carrier battle groups. The even numbers played into the Tahoan advantage, who used their technological superiority to inflict crippling losses on the Distopyan fleet. However, it appeared most of the actual landing force got through. Though taking some casualties, the landing ships disgorged their tens of thousands on the Oregon coast. Nearly every landing beach in Oregon turned into a brutal battlefield as local militia manned their posts and rained artillery, mortars and missiles into the landing craft and concentrated enemy. However, their lack of training lead to the enemy being able to push inland if not facing regular soldiers. The Northwest Defense District commander gathered his forces in brigade strength, ready to launch a massive counterattack as soon as the enemy was heavily engaged against the redoubts on the coast. Lincoln City, Seaside, Astoria, Cannon Beach became brutal killing grounds as Tahoans launched counterattack after counterattack into the advancing forces that soon had them surrounded, all while the NWDD troops gathered about 40 miles inland.
When the navy was done dealing with the enemy fleet, it and the aircraft supporting it turned their attention on the Distopyan land forces, dropping anti personnel munitions into the clustered enemies.

California Front: Operation Towers of Midnight]
Los Angeles: Civilians flee, troops gather. Silence hangs over the city.
San Diego: Two Tahoan carrier battlegroups sally forth the engage the New Cymru fleet.

OOC: If you want to !@#$%* go ahead. I don't give a $%&@. I worked my RP around those that are rational and reasonable (most of you), and if you feel like I treated your RP unfairly in my response, well A) :lol1: B) I don't care and C) I'm being attacked by half the world, work with me punk...oh yeah and D) Those that don't !@#$%*, thanks for acting like you're older than 12.
Yeah and my wife is pissed I’m at the computer when I have been so busy the past two weeks, hence the short final operation. Silhouette, I trust you are mature enough( I know you are bro) to RP out a good naval battle. We have equal forces and I have more tech by a lot, keep it in mind. For fun you can land all your infantry either north or south of San Diego, not directly in the city. It would be stupid for me to claim I destroyed them all at sea. Cheers

Remember what I said in my PMs to you guys. Try and keep your responses from being TOO long. I want toactually be able to RP a war and time is very short as it is so if you innundate me its not going to be as fun. I'm leaving it up to you guys to RP your casualties first. If you are reasonable then I'll take heavy casualties too. If you want to pretend like you have an invincible force, remember I have more tech than you, and also that this is CNRP, anything you lose in this war will exist a week from now, so it doesn't really matter if you say you lost a dozen warships and 50,000 infantry. It will be more fun if this is a bloodier war than the Eastern Front of WWII.

So, just remember. Don't be a whiny jerk. Have fun. Roll with things. Not everything has to go your way. I'm working with you, work with me. IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS PM ME. I actually will respond for once and work it out with you since I am a reasonable guy. Even though I scare the crap out of the entirety of CNRP. Only if you don't whine though. Stay classy kids

OOC: Yum, this will be fun. Also, let's try not to harm the guitar shop at seaside. That's a cool place :)

IC: The Distopyan fleet was in shambles. Fortunately, the navy had given them time to get away and storm the beaches after a very ad hoc shore landing. The troops were instructed to get into cover quickly. Although the Distopyan forces had overwhelmed the initial force, the counterattacks are what started to take losses. At first, with heavy cover, losses were minimal at best. After that though, the cities turned into a pool of blood.

In Seaside, Lincoln City, and other cities where there was an easy way onto land, the armored divisions ripped through infantry lines, allowing them to advance slightly, considering that the Tahoans were at a very large technical advantage.

In the sky, F-15E ground strike craft were ordered to do as much damage to advancing infantry as humanly possible before ripping out of there at high speeds. If forced to crash, they were ordered to aim their jets for tanks and jump out. If war was hell, total war would make Beelzebub blush.

ooc: No worries Mudd.. Take your time as you need for our section, I look forward to it.

ic:

The only real change in Los Angeles as the troops there wait the building storm.. is that the special forces group, about 500 men, moves its way slowly into Disney Land and raids a costume locker. They have.. special.. plans for this little theme park. When you fit 500 elite troops with totally warped sense of humors into a park like Disney Land in the middle of the war.. the effect is having a pack akin to 500 Jokers out of Gotham.

Engineers began to take a special peak at the animatronics and park rides. The special brick on the roads of main-street were being re-laid with some other special tools. The castle was literally becoming a modern fortress of a macabre nature.

The troop concentrations building up around the city weren't given much in the way of any respite. Sea-Crawlers would occasionally launch from the bay area and off shore and strike targets being registered on the Queendom's satellites. They would carry a mix of anti-personnel and anti-armor strike packages depending on what was fielded. (For all intents and purpose consider them to act like 3-6 tomahawk cruise missiles for purposes of damage estimation.)

The bombardment was meant to demoralize the approaching siege forces and keep them distracted.

Tasmanian Force Count: Areas 1-6 Los Angeles: 8000 with amphibious armor
Disneyland: 500 no armor, medium engineers/special forces load out.
Sea-Crawler Tiamat Missiles in range of shore and combat zone: 200, mixed types. Sea-Crawlers fired: 2, 1 of anti-personel and 1 of anti-armor types, 3 target groupings each.

OOC: For clarification before I post, Mudd, a brief description of your forces would be nice, just so I can rp accurately. :)

Also, Mudd, you only have 20 ships IG, so this should be reflected in your RP forces, which it doesn't appear to be...

And ftr, I'm New South Wales now.

Also, I'm not whining, honest, just pointin out what I see to be a discrepancy in figures. :)

News that Tahoe was to use chemical weapons ushered in a new fear for the Canadians now battling it out on the ground, fighting back tooth and claw for the city. Field Marshal Lannes confirmed the orders for a chemical first strike:
"Activate M23 VX land mines, we must slow down the Tahoan forces
Prepare chemical cruise missile strike, await confirmation"

The several squadrons in the air already were swept away, all 84 fighters, but the remaining 400 fighter air craft took off from the bases and formed into squadrons before swamping the Tahoan jets with AA missiles and machinegun fire. SAM sites on the ground launched salvos of missiles into the sky.

Artillery and missile fire crashed down into the city, smashing apart barricades and buildings, killing dozens of soldiers at once. The Canadian response was swift and the two battleships in the bay filled turned their four triple barrel 16in batteries onto the mountain tops and opened fire, loaded with VX chemical Artillery rounds.
After firing a salvo onto the mountains, their attention was turned back to the entrance of the bay for any Tahoan ships that may venture into view.

50 B-52's on combat air patrols in the bay, all armed with 6 AGM-129 ACM each, three on each wing picked up a large surface group of warships positivly ID'd as Tahoan.
The Bomber wing made its way towards the Tahoan battlegroup at an altitude of 50,000, and then broke up into five squadrons of ten.

OOC good post Mudd, can you possibly provide exact numbers for your regulars and perhaps a map?
Im making a map at the minute for my troops and ill post it with this response later tonight.
Thanks

OOC: Don't mind at all, Mudd. This is much more fun than going lolwin.

Though I'm afraid I'm not sure how many planes you have in Hawaii.

And the numbers you use for your navy everywhere don't seem to match up. Now I'm really confused. A little help?

I don't know what numbers would be appropriate without more exact figures for your ships and planes, and there seems to be some confusion on the numbers in your army and militia, too.

Really, I do want to do this, but I dunno what would be appropriate without more exact figures.

OOC: If you guys want me to buy a full navy to reflect RP I guess I could do that. I know you all know I could have a full navy in game and I've never been a fan of wasting IG resources on RP when we, as rational people, know the capability exists. Roll with me on this one.

I have 600,000 regular troops and am going to RP about 2 million-3 million militia. They are just for fun RP and won't really affect battles except in certain situations. Its my hope that this war works as a something decided by tactics and strategy and use of terrain and stuff rather than "Lol I have more soldiers than you so I win" to which I'll counter "Lol I have more techz than you I win". If we want a good war we plan it out as we go. PM with any concerns or angry demands

Linking to original movements on hawaii awaiting responses and or casualties. So far your territory in Hawaii has been redundantly bombarded and our naval forces have not moved within range of your defenses. An air superiority campaign is now ensuing or soon will be. Since you were busy I am willing to withdraw my landings and declaration of air superiority. I don't mind actually fighting it out.

OOC: I am willing to rescind the declaration of Aerial Superiority. In any case my second attack only took place in the event my first attack was not responded to. So if Mudd, responds appropriately to my first attack post, my second attack post would also change accordingly. I look forward to a good fight.

As regards navy what you have IG you have in RP, also I need some confirmation on your troop numbers. You have a population of 58975, which means you can have a max of 471,800 for your entire nation. Now how many of those are going to be there in each of your theaters. Also I need third party confirmation regarding militia and their effect in military operations.
