Declaration of War

"The Sarnungian Republic's predecessor, Carthage, attempted to diplomatically remove Norway's colony from Africa. Carthage refused to go to war with Norway because of the political climate at the time. Carthage, however, does not exist anymore. They may have tolerated colonies - President Obama was a very peaceful man. His stance against colonies was firm but war only as a last resort.

The times have changed, however, and as a man of action I must take action. Norway has shown in the past that they will not give up their colony underneath the Strait of Gibraltar. Norway has shown in the past they their only reason for having the colony is for control of the Strait, not for any other reason. Abuse and colonization of Africa for strategic means is unacceptable.

Perhaps you may believe that I am being hypocritical for attacking a nation for a colony while defending another for having a military base. That is true, I am a hypocrite. The difference between the two situations though, is that I made a vow to protect the people of Africa from colonists. I did not do the same with Europe.

Effective immediately, the Sarnungian Republic declares war on Norway and lays a claim to their lands in Africa. Also effective immediately is the order that the Sarnungian Republic will not let this conflict spill over into Europe and will contain it only to the area in Africa."

---

All of the troops along the Norwegian border moved in at a swift pace, including the air squadrons, which would fire at enemy targets. The target priority would be 'enemy fighter -> enemy bomber -> enemy AA installations -> any enemy fortifications'. Twelve EMP missiles, spaced out enough for maximum coverage, were launched and aimed at the general area of the bottom 3/4th of the territory.

Thirty squadrons of F-45A fighters, fresh from their patrols over Spain, were launched and after arriving over Norwegian airspace, their mission was this: bomb. Any fixed installations or high concentrations of enemy soldiers or armour were primary targets.

MLRS systems were aimed at enemy installations around the border and were fired upon in a grid before the advancement of soldiers backed by tanks.

Have moved from Valencia to Larache (Norwegian Morocco), guarded by 10 squadrons of F-22 fighters. They flew low and fast, below radar coverage and the troops in positions ready to paradrop should the planes come under attack during their incredibly short trip. Anti-Missile countermeasures, such as IR flares, were ready should a missile be launched against the planes.

"Get outta there and make space for a potential peaceful resolution of this, with Norway voluntarily giving up the territory in exchange for the European part of Gibraltar. If Rebel Army agrees to that."

"We will not allow nations to buy and sell African land for a political power play. Africans, and their land, are not to be "traded" and are not commodities to be bought and sold."

Great, one war over and another begins. I see this as less of a "Anti Colony" move and more of a grab for power by RA-Africa to control the entire Med.

"You see wrongly. Rebel Army already controls the entire Mediterranean - Norway has already proven that they will not attempt to stop RA's blockade of the Med. This is for freeing Africans held under the colonial rule of Norway."

Federal Union of Slavic Republics Announcement

int-cent.gif

The Federal Union of Slavic Republics strongly condemns the actions of the Sarnungian Republic. They have violated the sovereignty of Tangier-Ceuta, a territory of the Norwegian nation. We hope that a peaceful resolution will be found immediately, or retaliation by Norway's allies may soon follow.

"You should be condemning Norway just as you were condemning Louisiana."

The Italian Federation is saddened to see that the same "one continent" attitude has now been precipitated in Africa... as well as by one of our allies. The Italian Federation will not be involved in this war, unless the Diamonds Pact is activated due to an attack on the Republic's homeland. Due to the GDR's response to the Republic's actions, and the potentially hostile connotations behind it, our northern border with them is officially closed for the time being.

"Rebel Army will never give up its brethren and those under it's protection for political gain. Not when the Greater German Empire assaulted the Balkans, not when Tahoe threatened to force us out of Ecuador, and not now. No, we reject your proposal, and will refuse to the very end. On another note, the Straits are still close, and as we had maintained earlier, this includes Norway's section."

Africa has always been "one continent". From the PAC until now, we have actively worked to see non-African nations out of Africa. STATEMENT REDACTED

"I am not surprised by this action of our ally, but frankly, I am disappointed. What harm could there have been in sitting down to talk before declaring war? Even Scotland gave an ultimatum before attacking Louisiana."

~Anthony Harlem, Grand Duke, Queendom of Australia

Once it was confirmed that the forces in Italy were no longer needed, they would, instead, be deployed to the Republic--far from the front.

Our MDP with the Sarnungian Republic is hereby void and irrelevant. The appropriate clause is invoked."

"Where has Rebel Army said we aren't for diplomacy? All that we have said is that we refuse to "exchange" land for peace. As well, your tone is rather hostile towards us, why is that? This is the Republic's war, not ours."

"We do not rely on Rebel Army to try diplomacy for us. This is our war. Finally, the appropriate period of four weeks must be given before the pact is officially canceled."

The following is an excerpt from De Telegraaf:

"The Prime Minister also sent a letter today to the government of Molakia which was a mere five words, and it said:

Stop trying to be relevant.

More word on this story as it develops."

Its not relevancy, its saving our own skins.

- Mob Barely, Acting Head of Goverment and State
