The two played exceedingly well until the fourth quarter, when neither team could advance past their thirty yard line. The Panthers were unable to take advantage of several New Orleans turnovers and advanced to the loser's bracket. OOC: One point!?! I don't get how the Wildcard and Loser Brackets are set up. After beating someone, you play the winner of the other match, and the two top 'losers bracket' teams are treated to a chance to advance to the tournament. You and Il Duces have that chance. Sir Keshav IV Posted May 13, 2009 Report Share Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) Coach Erwin look disgusted, his teams performances were bad, losing the first game because of the failure in the offense and then the next one was perfect, but the last was worse then a failure. It was epic failure as the board said. He had gone to the board meeting to hear of his faith as the coach, in the end he was fired for doing a lousy job. He was fired from the Elite panel of selectors as well. His government pensions and his houses were seized and he had to make a living without living on government salary. Angus Young was steaming mad, he even thought of canceling Erwin's citizenship but he decided that was too brash. Angus hoped another tournament such as this would happen again. OOC: I see. IC: Despite losing their opening round to the Saints, the Panthers were upbeat after winning a game in the Losers Bracket to get a chance at the Wildcard slot in the Tournament itself.
