I'm sure he knows who dropped who though I don't share his sentiment.

Like I said political concerns were raised, though winnability wasn't the primary concern there. The Xiph line was more of a joke from our resident paranoid schitzophrenic. My main issue was that LSF were acting like fools the entire time and didn't feel comfortable hitting an ally of an ally for their shenanigans. If you ask why put up with MKs shenanigans....well I hated CSN. Much easier to tolerate. NoR didn't fit that bill at the time.

Oh CnG didn't defended LSF because didn't feel comfortable hitting an ally of an ally? Oh how much irony and hypocrisy contained in a tiny post..

They've survived far worse. With much less chance of a rescue, too.

Unless you're referring to UCR's inevitable demise now that Fraulein Lexie and VL have joined them. In which case I agree completely.

I wasn't.
I was directly referring to LSF, the war lasted 3 months so far and perhaps it will last even longer.

It will last as long as it lasts. What's left of LSF at the end of it is unclear. Exciting stuff.

One might interpret that NoR fits the bill now?

One might interpret anything. Such is the magic of interpretation.

You guys are all morons. Every last one of you.

Once upon a time there was an alliance called the Communist Party of CyberNations (CPCN, for short). This alliance was a member of little bloc called the League of Extraordinary Oranges. At different times, this bloc contained MOON, The Resistance (TR), FOK, and of course R&R (among others. Check the wiki).

One day, CPCN merged with the Socialistic Empire (SE)and elements of The Righteous Fist (TRF) to form the pinko supergroup known as INT. The members of LEO voted and decided that INT should maintain CPCN's seat in the bloc, and thus it was so.

The Karma War rolled around, and all was lovely. Bloc unity was at an all-time high, and many love poems were written about the unbreakable bonds between INT, FOK, and R&R.

The romantic high faded (as all infatuations eventually do). FOK's wandering eye was caught by sexy little number known as Pandora. Without FOK, LEO was essentually a joke (let's face it, LEO was always a FOK vanity project), so the remaining members (mostly INT and R&R) voted to disband the bloc, and thus, LEO was no more.

The act of disbanding LEO was a unifying event for R&R and INT, in a sense, but it also laid the foundation for the current problem. While R&R maintained strong ties with FOK and SuperFriends, INT was basically set adrift. Internal shifts in FOK caused INT to fall out of their favor, and the MDoAP between us was canceled.

Throughout it all, ODN was a steadfast ally. INT needed a new place to call home, C&G was a great match, and the Network was a vocal advocate. Athens, GR, and LOST welcomed us with open arms. I'll never regret the decision to sign on with this crew.

We ignored this fundamental problem with our FA. It was easier to look past it than to address it head-on. But ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away.

It's been addressed now. LEO is dead. The SuperGrievances entity is no more. Niether INT nor R&R was willing to make the political changes necessary to keep this treaty alive. So it's gone. Problem solved. We're moving forward now.

Everyone wants to interpret this cancellation in a way that advances their own narrative of history. I can't stop them. The best I can do is to simply tell the truth, as I have done here, and they can take it or leave it. Two friends took two different paths. There is no treachery; no conspiracy. Situations change and we adapt.

-Craig

[ooc]edit: In case you don't get it, I freakin' love R&R. If I could snap my fingers and make them a member of C&G at this moment, I'd do it. This cancelation breaks my damn heart (as much an online game can).[/ooc]

The Int mentality is disturbing: "We don't honored our treaty with RnR, we also let our blocmates attack them, but now we canceled the treaty and the problem is solved.", but the best part is yet to come: "There is no treachery" they say.

And you've chosen "leave it."

This is why open and honest dialog is impossible.

You pick the least of the reasons out of the list? Really? Oh it's you. That's about right. Of course on it's own ally of ally isn't enough. Maybe none of the concerns stand on their own...but all combined? That's a different story and apparently the point you failed to realize. Remove a few of the concerns and maybe we aren't having this discussion.

Craig you're one of the good ones left in the once noble International, but you haven't learned from your mistakes, look at your current treaty web.

You've cancelled your last remaining SF tie but you still have 10 MDoAP level treaties which will put you in the middle of yet another conflict down the road, but many of those treaties are the ones you just signed in the last year or so.

No one can really say for certain where our ties will take us or what position(s) they'll put us in, though we don't really have any conflicting treaties as it stands. One of those things that only time will tell, I suppose.

Friendships can exist without treaties contrary to popular belief.

I wish R&R and The International a wonderful future together as I know (or did last time I checked) the amount of respect and communication of these two alliances is as solid as ever.

Also,

Bambi
