1. If its an act of war, then declare war, and stop being such a whiny !@#$% already.
 2.
You know the NPO cannot support you on one side and TLR/GATO/NG on the other. This is why I asked you to stay out. I understand your want, but this is the wrong move. We, NPO, put out our statement. This would allow our allies to stay on a side, even if it meant staying out. Simply put, as you already know, I am disappointed. Not because you are doing what you want, but because you are falling into a death trap that could be avoided. Directly you have caused us to have two M levels in the same conflict.
NPO making a statement does not make it ok for one of their allies to ignore the troubles of one of their allies. And that NPO should even imply that its ok for somebody to turn their back on an ally in need is laughable. There are alot of alliances that could have turned their backs on you long ago, but didn't. I guess you don't value that.
 3. Gotta give the tip of my hat, fighting two nations in the 10k-12k NS range, they have a combined warchest of 50m.
 4. +1 XChat is obviously the best. And actually on xchat, on the connection information, you can set it to run a text file as a script on server connect, just basic irc commands one per line, it can identify you, join all your channels, and if you ever want to change it, its just a text file on your computer. My best advice for people using mIRC, use something better.
 5.
your an idoit NoR has no hidden beliefs. What they do here in this world is exactly that what may occur in another has no reference to here. Keep on pissing on a departed friend tough guy typing on a screen makes us all like the Hulk. Theres an old proverb dont speak ill of the dead it may come back to bite you in the ass or something like that. No one deserves what happened to him NO ONE.
How about the 11 million people who lost their lives during the holocaust? Or about the millions more who are murdered each year for being of a unfavorable culture or ethnicity? Do they deserve what they get more? Those kind of atrocities happen because people like you don't have the balls to stand up to people who have dangerous idealogies. I suppose you would prefer to ignore it and call them 'friends'. Congrats Nordreich, I guess.
 6.
I guess the Warrior's head honcho didn't get the memo on how they frown on the "down-declare". He was a full 6K in NS over me at DOW time. Although if things keep going like this by the end of the war he'll probably be able to complain about my bullying too.
If you hadn't developed such a reputation at it, I might be surprised that you whine so much. You should not expect luxuries which you do not extend to other people, but obviously as for the drop, we're fighting at different levels, and retaining NS has never been a concern of mine.
 7.
With the amount you post, it shows otherwise. Classy move btw, resorting to OOC attacks.
He's got a point, LMFAO isn't very good...
 8.
Please do tell. I'm curious how exactly do you see it. Cheers
Well, 1) in the opening phases of this war, the ground attacks aspect will be nothing short of boring. TPC knows what they are doing and have purchased all the right improvements, so the best tW can do on the ground is stalemate it. 2) TPC tends to have more CIAs while tW tends to have more MPs. TPC will likely be able to do a better job at spying. 3) When in a nuclear war, smaller numbers is better because it means that you can hit with more nukes then you can be hit with. 4) All that spells out TPC delivering significantly higher damage over the first 3-4 days of this war, simply because they'll be able to spread their nukes out among us. 5) TPC will be getting nuked on a consistent basis, however, and particularly at the upper ranges tW has some people with nukes who should really be scaring the living day lights out of you. These nukings will drop alot of TPC nations out of the top 5% in a hurry, and considering that TPC has just 1 manhattan project, your nations will either run out of nukes or dip into their warchests and buy the MP. 6) Meanwhile, tW has 13 manhattan projects, so we can keep it going, furthermore, as we have fewer targets to nuke, our nuke counts will stay steady/maybe even rise a bit through the duration of this war, whereas TPC's nuke count will steadily decrease as they launch more then they can repurchase and they are nuked out of nuke-purchasing range. 7) It all depends on how long this war lasts. At around 4-5 days, there will be a significant shift with focus on our ability to continue buying nukes. I know TPC has large warchests (well some of them do), so we'll see if they are willing to dip into that to buy a manhattan project when it becomes necessary.
 9.
i think you might find you are not as ready as you thought you were.
I think you will find that we have advantages that you simply cannot overcome. I can tell you right now exactly how this war will go.
 10.
what tpc aint enough?
Lets re-evaluate in 3-4 days.
 11. For the hell of it, this was the DoW that we were going to post in about 15 minutes.
Last week, TPC did something which we did not find entirely tasteful, and I went on the record as saying,
I expect we may have to pay somebody a visit.
Welp, it's that time. [sup]1[/sup] tW declares war on TPC, and what the hell, we also declare war on Cradle of Snakes and Snafu. Best of luck to all parties, stats are below. Signed for the Warriors The People in Charge [sup]1[/sup] - This current action has nothing to do with prior circumstances. Stats: Warriors = 42 members, 365,923 NS, 196 nukes TPC = 21 members, 285,572 NS, 110 nukes CoS = 16 members, 80,615 NS, 2 nukes SNAFU = 18 members, 75,271 NS, 6 nukes Combined = 55 members, 441,458 NS, 118 nukes
Obviously with this new development, we will not be attacking CoS or SNAFU, I suppose they can be sending thank-you cards to TPC at their discretion.
 12. I'm laughing pretty hard. Because we were actually planning on hitting you tonight. We had just finished the target lists and I had written the DoW.
 13.
I am loathe to post in this thread again, but I'd rather step in to provide a timeline than let anyone just arriving sort through the entire mess trying to piece together what happened. So here's the order of events that has led us to our current position: 1) 4/20: Hellas declares war on CoS. 2) 4/21: It looks like a downdeclare, but after spying away all of Team Beta's nukes, they agree to a nonnuclear war. The stats are pretty fair. Since CoS is TPC's training alliance, Einer decides to spy someone's warchest to confirm it really is a balanced war. The result? Yeah, it's pretty fair. 3) BadWolf decides that since TPC intervened by spying his warchest, the terms and circumstances of the war are sufficiently changed that the use of nuclear weapons is acceptable. He posts this fifteen minutes before the update and doesn't bother mailing anyone, so the time for diplomatic response is limited. 4) 4/22: BadWolf nukes two players from CoS shortly after the update. 5) ~1:00 AM: Since TPC doesn't think he had a good case for nuking, we decide that his nuclear attacks constitute a breach of the terms of battle. Three TPC players declare on him, and Team Beta buys up enough NS to acquire and launch another nuke.
I would phrase it this way from what I've gathered. 1) Hellas attacks Cradle of Snakes. 2) Somebody says "omgwtf nuke advantage! unfair!", Hellas says "We won't use nukes." 3) Somebody in TPC spies somebody in Hellas for intel. 4) Hellas says "thats improper, we're using nukes" 5) Hellas uses nukes. 6) TPC says "excessive force! excessive force!" and gets involved. 7) New Desolate Order gets involved. 8) And we're here in the present. Lets not gloss over the spying for intel. It was an inappropriate act, and if a member of my alliance was spied on for intel by somebody who we weren't at war with, and we find who did it, we would do everything in our power to flatten their ass into a pancake and ensure they learn their lesson. If you are not at war with them or planning to immediately engage them in war, then it is absolutely improper for you to spy on them, regardless if it was to gather intelligence or for something entirely different. TPC were bystanders to this war, and they had absolutely no reason to become involved. Without nukes, it looked to be a very fair war, The non-nuclear numbers weren't particularly an advantage to anybody. Sure there were some differences, as there always are. Had TPC done what was reasonable and logical, and stayed out, this would have been so much smoother. I understand that CoS is a TPC protectorate, but are you even going to go as far as to keep them out of fair wars? Sometimes you've got to have enough trust in somebody to let them take care of their own affairs as much as they possibly can. Either you aim for them to get a free-pass to grow at their leisure, or you don't trust them enough to be able to handle a pretty fairly matched war. Neither one of those things is particularly impressive. I think there is another (more condensed, just as accurate) account of how things went down. 1) Hellas declares war on CoS 2) TPC does something, it backfires. 3) "my bad, let me fix that" says TPC. 4) TPC does something else, it backfires (again). Obviously I wish all parties the best of luck in cleaning up this mess as quickly as they can. It is stupid, and god forbid it need to get any uglier.
 14. So let me get this straight. Hellas attacked CoS, a pretty close matchup since they decided not to use nukes, and TPC decided to attack Hellas over it? I expect we may have to pay somebody a visit.
 15. After FAN's [s]dismal[/s] pathetic showing in the last war, I don't think it would have mattered much even if you had tried to carry through on your previous assertion.
 16. Most of the alliances on your list were !@#$stains of alliances whose only productive acts was disbanding.
 17. To be absolutely honest, I forgot what today was. When I saw the title, I was thinking to myself, now what is today, I mean, I know its the 13th anniversary of the columbine shooting, but what else? And then it hit me.
 18.
Frankly, they've stayed around longer than Sanitorium. You may want to take a look-see and see who's truly got the lower quality judgement here. You could argue you knew when to fold, but why in the world would you come back again then? That's all I'm going to say. In the interest of trying to bring new blood to the game, good luck.
Well, Deinos still has a little ways to go to reach the same age Sanitarium was when we called it quits, but don't let your unwillingness to research get in the way of making a good point. Obviously circumstances change and people's priorities ajust, which makes new things possible.
 19.
Didn't you claim to Australian earlier?
He is Australian, but I don't think he was talking about himself.
 20.
I've always thought that Sanitarium was garbage, and I've never been one to not voice my opinion on something. At least I hide scraps of advice in my jabs
Noting your previous alliances was in no way shape or form an attempt to label you untrustworthy or incompetent by association, but I think it is reasonable to say that as you've chosen such terrible alliances to call home, it casts serious doubt upon your ability to accurately assess an alliance's quality. You are of course you are entitled to your opinion, however having a track-record of being consistently wrong tends to greatly devalue it in the eyes of others. You know, there is more to life then being nice or being helpful. I'm not deluded into believing that I'm either most of the time, but I assure you, we know what we are doing. It doesn't matter to me if you see it or not.
 21.
You know I was just thinking that the one thing we need is sanitarium back in the game! We are all saved.
Its funny how you can be so critical while having been largely unsuccessful at everything you've ever attempted.
I did indeed. What does that have to do with anything? Also, answering rhetorical questions probably isn't the best way to start your alliance out. Of course you have your reasons. I still think you're worthless.
What it has to do with "anything" is that I was simply demonstrating your credibility, or lack thereof. It is very difficult for me to feel bad that you consider us worthless when you have a strong track-record of associating yourself with some truly terrible alliances. Either way, whatcha gonna do about it?
I've been down this road and spoiler, it ends with an empty IRC channel and the only thread posted one week being 'hey maybe we should merge with protector/ally'. but have fun I guess
There are different routes that people follow. Some decide to reform an alliance, post up a DoE, and think stuff is just going to magically fall in place. When it doesn't (as it inevitably doesn't), they act surprised and proceed with the next "brilliant" plan. By contrast, this was not a culmination of a one-week project consisting of "hey let's do this", this was the culmination of months of thinking and planning. Our aim is not to attempt to recreate what Sanitarium was or was not in its previous form, it is to learn from the past, maintain a similar feel, while forging a path bigger and better then anything we ever were before. This time around, we've started significantly better off then Sanitarium ever was before, with more strength, and more nukes, and almost as many members as we had at our peak. An even larger contrast is to compare Sanitarium starting out now to last time, when Sanitarium formed with 2 members and 30k NS. It is important to remember the past as to avoid making the same mistakes, but you can't move very far forward while living in the past. This time around we have different ideas, different goals, and undoubtedly we will face (and overcome) different challenges.
 22.
Why would somebody revive this worthless piece of scrap?
Didn't you use to be in the New Sith Order? Yeah... But to answer your questions, we have our reasons, which we have opted not to publicly disclose.
 23. For the love of the children (and my tax collections), y'all need to stop nuking each other. K, Thanks.
 24.
I do not understand why this reincarnation attempt seems to be garnering support whereas so many others in the past have been met with justified opprobrium. Am I losing my mind, or has this not been attempted before? Repeatedly?
I think it is generally difficult to oppose a NAAC reformation that involves this guy.
 25. These days, alot of alliances are formed by people looking for a quick thrill, formed with little to no preparation beforehand. We went a different direction, and in alot of ways I'm relieved to have come this far, as a great deal of time has been funneled into this.
Wait wasn't there a sanitarium before?
Yes, this is a reformation.
Oh great Sanitarium, I really missed their great contributions to the world!
You know, there are many things in this world, particularly [ooc]on the internet[/ooc] which are pretty greaty yet don't make much as far as positive contributions to society.
