1. Sad so many people don't remember who either Vincent or Grenval was, they were names that are ingrained in the past history of CN and actions of alliances from back then.
 2.
That was priceless, Grub's masterstroke. You know you're doin' it right when you make yourself the most hated man in the game, without getting banned, in a single night. I think it was that he was having sex and someone phoned him to come in for peace negotiations... GW2 I want to say. Might be separate incidents.
It was between GW2 and GW3 and Egore was spazzing out about some alliance (I think /b/) in the WUT channels...and the only way to calm him down before he did something crazy was to call Dilber (who seemed to be able to calm Egore usually) and the call interrupted Dilber with a lady friend. LOL. Dilber, if I remember correctly, did stop what he was doing to get on IRC to calm down Egore.
 3.
It was more of a strategic move in what we viewed as a coalition war. We saw that we would end up facing CnG and decided to get the first strike. In our defense, I can't remember a time before that war when part of a coalition backstabbed the rest of the coalition and joined the other side. Up until that point when you joined a coalition it took precedence over everything, including treaties you may have with the other side. Alliances either chose a side and stuck with it or stayed neutral if they had conflicting treaties. Of course now we see alliances declaring on both sides more often.
Oh the irony of this statement. Why do you think Sponge hated TOP? TOP and Crymson particularly were in ~ Coalition channels during the build up to the UJW war and were sending information back to GOONS on what was going on. We had logs and everything from it.
 4. An understandable move by NATO. War does tend to help clear out some treaties.
 5. Quite interesting to the see the revisionism of some parties on what is a bandwagonner. You know you are debating from unstable ground when you twist definitions to fit your predisposed objective.
 6.
When you refer to midnight as "update" in communications conducted with people you work with in RL
Heh. I do that. When you go RAWR in real life to people from doing it as a greeting on IRC. When you schedule your plans around skin changes/elections to make sure they are done on time. When you see the street sign for "Pacific" in your town and you think of NPO. When you are driving back from Niagara Falls through Ohio and they have a bridge with the big words "POLARIS" written on it and each time you think damn I need to take a pic of that.
 7.
Fact: You were never once in the communication channel in which NPO/Karma alliances discussed these things.
And what does that have to do with anything? It was still my primary responsibility, and just because I don't have the stomach to put up with the drivel that comes out of other people's mouths, it was a choice to not be in communication channels.
Fact: Soldier/tank/plane limits were routinely exceeded, and was endemic.
Lies.
Fact: You put FAN in a 2 year war over the things we let slide.
Misconstrue of the truth. Keep trying.
Fiction: "Guess VE wouldn't know about that since the only experience they have is running and disbanding."
Yeah ok. That's why VE disbanded after only one night of war.
Fact: The alliances that disbanded us, GGA, NPO, GOONShoving. Of the three, one is still here, and that one ain't doing too well right now.
FAN is doing just fine it seems and they participated. There were a few others that participated. But their no longer being around was not caused by anything VE did. LOL.
Fact: Hard to run when we're on the front lines, sticking it to Order after Order, making it so you just don't walk right for months and years afterward.
Yawn. Yeah ok.
 8.
Oh come on, you regularly had people over the soldier/tank limits, enough so that we stopped caring about them and only focused on aid violators.
Yeah it's called losing a trade that affected your population count by reducing your citizens. It was never more than handful of people each time and they were quickly resolved with a private message. Guess VE wouldn't know about that since the only experience they have is running and disbanding.
There were lots of violations by NPO that we let slip. Lots.
You could try to pull this line on most people in NPO. But I was responsible for the compliance checks and I know better than that. Yes, there were some of violations each week but it was never the same person. Members who ignored messages or continually were violation problems were expelled. I am sure ghosts were out of complaince but that wouldn't be held against us since our "keepers" had a list of who was a ghost.
 9.
I can see where the comparison could be made, but in all fairness what FAN did to 'deserve' their 2nd war was ridiculous, and NPO did far worse in their terms of keeping their individuals in compliance than the alleged 1/3 of FAN's. That being said, if you agree to do something like not re-enter a war, and then you re-enter, how could you be trusted to follow through again? If people can't uphold the lenient terms of a beige peace, then they probably wouldn't uphold any terms the 2nd time around.
That's a laugh and historical revisionism at best. We not only followed up weekly on everyone to make sure people were in compliance, but stayed in communication with those in charge of making sure we were in terms of who was in and out of compliance. Furthermore, we even expelled members frequently who ignored messages to get in terms.
 10.
I miss you my old "Freinemy". Glad you have a good sense of humor. And yes, please, just trying to have a little lulz.
The love in this thread is making me all hot and bothered. <3
 11.
Oh snap, you just did. You rascal you! Just when I was about to remove you from my list of people to hate with a blind, uncontrollable passion... Oh what the heck! I'll do it anyway. You're good people, Bilrow!
I won't tell you what Baka suggested I change it to.
 12. Nice award. Be lucky I have a limit of what I would do because I could have changed that image to anything.

 20.
When your already-overpowering enemies steal the third strongest alliance from "your side" of the web, you should probably be taking things a bit more seriously.
They can have TOP...LOL.
 21. From what I'm hearing no one is trembling, but laughing their butts off.
