I added COMECON for the first time, so all of their 4 defensive wars were added to the stats for the first time. If COMECON had been in the stats all along, it would have been +33 since the last update, if I’m remembering correctly.

Yeah I…don’t think this was a point of confusion for anyone. Honestly I think everyone assumes that people who have the time to post on the OWF are rerolls, because it’s usually true. You can trash talk all you want, and honestly I think it’s hilarious, but don’t be surprised if no one takes you very seriously when you fought a single war in all of Herogasm, at the very end of it, and got smoked.

I will always be impressed at how mad NG makes some people for doing absolutely nothing, or for doing the same things everyone else is doing. It’s honestly impressive. Keep flaming, my guy. I’m sure you’ll get some good bites one of these times.

Sabcat war under LSF's stats. I didn't include any other stats that accrued from the PGS dust-up, though, since neither side ran more than a day's attacks on the other before calling it off.

Well, I don’t think TW “demanded your surrender” because they thought you’d been soundly defeated lol. It seems like they were under the impression that you wanted to leave the war, and followed the precedent set in this war of requiring a surrender in order for that to happen. Honestly, if one of the NG nations who left to fight with TW suddenly decided to leave and go back to NG, I would expect the exact same thing from them, and I would expect RED ALERT to consider them to still be at war until they surrendered. Anyway, this is why, from your perspective at least, I don’t understand why you left LSF at all. You’re not the first person to have all of their targets in peace mode, and I’m sure you won’t be the last, but there are lots of ways to goad those nations into fighting without leaving to an alliance not at war. Framing it this way is awfully disingenuous. You were still at war with TW, and they attacked you, as they’ve been doing to most of the commies still in their range for the past few weeks. The AA you were on makes no difference, and the government for that AA had tons of choices that didn’t include attacking TW.

Yeah but that’s just not a thing. I mean, you have every right to not surrender, but that means the alliance you remain at war with has every right to continue attacking you. Also, for what it’s worth, UCR have already demanded surrender from a TW nation who wished to resign and leave for a different alliance not at war, so it’s not like TW created this idea out of thin air. Your allies set the precedent, and it was reasonable for TW to follow it. At any rate, you seem to have just wanted to continue fighting this whole time, and don’t seem upset to have been attacked, so I don’t understand 1) why you tried to leave LSF in the first place, 2) why PGS accepted you, clearly knowing you were still at war and still wanted to fight, and 3) why Jason attacked TW over you getting what you wanted anyway. I mean, I have one pretty obvious theory, but…surely not, right?

Frankly, I think it’s an admirable show of respect for their mutual ally that The Wolves are not yet treating this like the blatant act of war that it is.

Here are some actual stats, inspired by (but obviously not nearly as in-depth or well-done as) @Piejonk's reports from Herogasm. The changes for the first two columns are taken from as close to the start of the war (5/24) as I could get. RED ALERT is definitely leading in all of the war stats, but they also have twice as many active nations and started with nearly twice as much NS, so they are probably slight statistical favorites anyway.

Nobody yell at me but in fairness, CLAWS is the only alliance from the former hegemony that hasn’t done a 180 and become completely hostile towards TW, much less maintained a treaty with them, all for the heinous crime of… *checks notes* signing an ODP with NG. On top of that, WC has publicly backed Bundy in this very thread, and seems to be letting Bundy get what he wanted and asked for anyway: a normal fight and some casualties. I obviously think there’s a lot that CLAWS can be criticized for, including putting themselves in this position in the first place by having treaties with 20-some different alliances that don’t share the same political interests, but now that they’re here, I don’t think it’s super fair to expect them to hang one set of allies out to dry. Trying to dunk on someone in CN for pulling stats has to be one of the most brain dead things I’ve seen since I came back. This is literally just a big spreadsheet game, you nincompoop. I get that being a clown to attract negative attention is your thing nowadays, but mercy me.

There is no longer a hegemony on Planet Bob. I think jerdge put it best when he said (and I’m paraphrasing based on memory) that any political coalition that fails to decisively win a war against an opponent cannot be considered a hegemony. There are now a few different coalitions that have varying degrees of power, but none have the power to exert their will over Bob at the moment. I don’t see Polar’s statement at odds with that reality at all, by the way. Polar stands against any hegemony ruling over Bob, which includes opposing anyone trying to form or reform one in the ashes of the former hegemony. To me, this makes complete sense given Polar’s history and what they stand for. More importantly though, it explains why this announcement is important to them, even from multiple perspectives. Only time will tell if this statement has what I believe to be the desired effects.

The feelings are mutual, and I look forward to fighting a war with you all (again) someday soon.
