  1. Congratulations to Nueva Vida and their allies on their victory.
  2. I don't know if it would be correct to say we wanted a treaty with the NPO, but we did want safety like any sane alliance and did try to cultivate relations with Continuum signatories in pursuit of that.
  3. Moo was a Karma plant all along. It only took a couple years for the plan to come to fruition but it's been paying off in spades at long last.
  4. Why did you stop posting? This stuff and your old flag thread make me want to have your kids.
  5. Well, maybe if Vox Populi happen to come by approximately 82,000 tech from "the back of a truck" we could tech deal sometime
  6. Well, nature abhors a vacuum, so I imagine, cut off from NPO's leadership, the hegemony as a collective would break up, and you'd see something of a scramble among the Karma alliances, as well as perhaps some of those fighting with Karma but not as part of Karma, to get them in their corners in a realignment. And I think the Karma side has proven themselves to have some ambition by having the guff to fight a winning world war.
  7. I heard from a reputable source this war was a tech raid, no amount of reparations could be too much for me nom nom nom
  8. Nuclear war is bad for looting and if we cared for that we wouldn't be fighting one you dolt. And yes congratulations for making the earth shattering revelation that people do things for their own benefit. Karma alliances will be achieving political benefits by fighting this war, big whoop, that's the way people work. Edit: I'd also like to add that the primary reason for outcry over curbstomps tended to be more a result of the faulty premises they were started on as well as the way many alliances would often be brought in to take down one which presented absolutely no threat, not to mention the blatant looting taking place (many of those wars had reps!). There is nothing inherently bad in fighting 3v1 wars unless you have something against military strategy in which case you continue raging for stupidity (quite literally), but I personally will be thankful Karma wasn't stupid enough to listen to some random OWF poster and instead decided to assign NPO the forces requisite to their destruction.
  9. Good luck rebuilding Molon Labe, you're a brave alliance.
  10. Starting a losing war tends to be counterproductive to whatever goals you may have.
  11. Cue whining. Have fun with this guys and good luck.
  12. Well I guess we'll all know who to blame if the server goes out at update
  13. Yes. Expect us at update :jihad:
  14. If Karma PoW wants our spot they'll have to fight us for it and I don't think an alliance of people who surrendered is going to have the morale to bring down the GODLIEST MILITARY EMPIRE IN CYBERNATIONS.
  15. Are you saying Wikia saying alliance x signed peace with alliances a, b, c, and d would be more reliable for assigning blame for harsh/lenient terms given to alliance x than somebody who was government in the bloc with x in the same war and was presumably involved in the peace talks personally?
  16. Yeah, this is a satire piece but there is a grain of truth to it - the hegemony overplayed it's hand in trying to crush all the "dissenting" alliances it felt it feasibly could all at once, and once they were done, NPO kind of hit the "off" switch on their PR machine, I guess out of an expectation that there was nothing to fight against any more. But by subjecting so many alliances at once to a curbstomping (already a contentious issue previously) they magnified the outcry against them, and the harsh peaces and dubious casus bellis probably made a lot of the alliances in the hegemony now on the Karma side ask themselves why they were supporting that stuff, and act accordingly down the road.
  17. This looks like a thread for Walford, or, excepting him, Stormsend.
  18. I didn't see this thread until today but I was almost about to ask we let you off just to annoy the "kill the deserters crowd". Welp!
  19. Theoretically you MADP somebody you would trust not to get into offensive wars you would disagree with I suppose - either that or you just like that alliance so much you're willing to put aside your reservations and share in your ally's mistakes should they make them because you believe helping that friend is, on the balance, more important than anything else. Not to say it always works out that way and I have much respect for alliances that refuse to sign MADPs due to the frank admission implicit in it that their conscience (or if you wish to be cynical their flexibility) ranks higher than anything else.
  20. Personally I'm more amused by him getting offended at the glorification of nuclear warfare in particular and not warfare in general.
  21. Indeed. I usually bite my tongue if I have nothing good to say in these threads but when you have to build a CB by playing internet detective and using your findings to try and belittle your enemies, you should just get out.
  22. Did I really do that? Dang. I guess my burn is downgraded into a slightly warm sensation for that one.
  23. And you're the guy who's taken another guy's analogy and awkwardly tried to turn it around on him to try to explain something many people people rightly think is kind of silly.
