  1. They're being planned as we speak
  2. NpO doesn't have a treaty with the Gremlins to my knowledge and they're the only ones who paid for their tech, while they do with other alliances they surrendered to, though in any case to get back on topic - there is a middle ground between "too lenient" and "JUST AS BAD AS THE HEGEMONY". I think these terms are edging a bit close to "too lenient" (sorry, Valhalla have been royal pricks, and you don't throw murderers in jail for six months ), but overall these are a good deal stiffer than most terms offered to the Hegemony alliances and that's good enough.
  3. They underwent very heavy surrender terms and not just ones posted on the OWF - pointing to them as an example of how defeat and surrender may change an alliance is more an argument for harsh terms than light ones.
  4. For somebody who likes to tell people not to be as bad as the hegemony you're fond of the "do something about it" line in this very thread so maybe Kronos would like to join our new One Vision?
  5. "Proportionality? What's that?" - Everybody saying Karma's Just As Bad as Them
  6. I like to look at it this way: we're kicking TPF's behind. Obviously such a militarily inept alliance taking TPF down must speak volumes about the ability of Valhalla's "BFF"
  7. Congratulations to our allies on their victory.
  8. Sorry for reading the thread from the beginning and not refreshing before replying, sire.
  9. You'd think if STA was going to use our mutual defense pact to enter our war with you aggressively they'd have done it when you were still capable of putting up a meaningful fight.
  10. All hail KingSuck, Psychic of Valhalla and Forum Search Searcher of the Word "Irony"
  11. Well, it's less the thing keeping NPO from being like IRON, as much as MCXA (who absolutely bled members). The relative speed in NS drops is mostly due to NPO's use of peace mode (IRON has a lot less nations in peace mode) and IRON fighting Gremlins, whose tech levels make them do much more damage - most of the alliances on NPO probably have lower tech levels even in the upper ranks.
  12. Before Jarheads, the world cowered in fear before the mighty NPO. But one alliance, stood up and spat in the face of the ogre, and showed the world that one need not give up hope in the face of destruction, and instead they could fight back. GOD BLESS THE JARHEADS
  13. I know what will. Let's do this again a couple months from now. And yet again another few after that. And again, and again, and again...until we've all ZIed each other several times over
  14. I wonder where they're all getting them from. And no I don't mean that in a tinfoil hat sense I honestly wonder. Ghosts seem likely but that can't possibly account for all of them.
  15. Therefore EZI mhawk and Cataduanes because they have proven themselves to be threats to the safety and security of other alliances.
  16. Or perhaps instead of spending disproportionate amounts of political capital for what amounts to swatting flies alliances could enact policies that would minimize the need to resort to force to neutralize individual nations. You're putting words in my mouth - I support the right of self-determination. If self-determination includes a national leader irrationally attacking another, so be it - he can begin believing himself another leader reincarnated, with consequences to be determined by those he attacked within the limit of their ability to enforce it, and within the limit of allowing that nation to remain in existence. Any policy with its stated goal to be the utter removal of a nation from existence is ultimately a threat to the well being of the planet as a whole.
  17. Hmm yes I agree somebody coerced into playing a new character should continue to fulfill this unilaterally decided obligation to continue as this new character into perpetuity even once the coercive element is removed.
  18. I dunno, if he feels betrayed wanting to get a little payback is pretty natural.
  19. Dead alliances should stay dead - I like a good dramabomb but it seems like a reunion tour with a new singer to bring 'em back
  20. They thought they had balls of steel but didn't count on your diamond fists.
  21. Yeah guys, have a little more respect for Echelon who had the guts to honor their treaties and fight a losing war, unlike those wimps in Nueva Vida who cut and run when it seemed like they'd be on the losing side in the last war.
  22. Very good. This reads a lot more like a history than a polemic which pretty much every other essay in CN seems to be. It would be nice to see you write more CN history
  23. Yeah I don't get it either since usually most of the people arguing for continuing the Great War sequence after GWIII go "WELL a great war usually seems kind of even at least at first!" but the noCB War was pretty lopsided from the beginning - it was the reviled curbstomp taken to the extreme.
