1. INT: 1 is true, though debatable over whether or not it was an oA. 2 presupposes it was an oA. It's easier to find a way out if you choose to view it as requiring activation. 3 uh no. NoR was not directly tied to any of our allies, but to the allies of our allies. The last part was really the reason things escalated; NoR started declaring wars during attempted peace discussions. 4 is vague, but I think I know what you're getting at. 5 was completely ridiculous I agree. 6 uh yeah. But you can't throw everything on his shoulders when he had an approving vote from the gov that was then unnecessarily moved to the Congress. Part of his job was to relay his thoughts. 7 doesn't really apply. Said allies were being drawn into the other war that was just starting, as was INT itself (debatably due to this one). LSF: 1 uh yeah. And he was right, at least at the time he said it. 2 is all (or should be/have been) true. 3 did happen to a very limited extent. More than anything it all comes down to how one views the way things unfolded between NoR and LSF, and whether or not LSF were aggressors. The opinions in both gov and the membership shifted from obligation to option over the course of a few days, due to a combination of other priorities, a lack of clarity in events, and general cowardice. Why does INT think that none of the elected gov that was involved (save Lexie, who also left and then came back) is still in INT anymore? I know three or four of us in the Central Committee regret the way things went, and we even had 3 secretaries resign right then (including Azrael, which I find ironic considering he's defending actions he was staunchly against at the time). Now, I've just given my account of what happened, but there's ultimately no way we're ever going to be in agreement about the events that took place because they happened so quickly and confusingly that everyone views them in a different way. I guess the real question we have to ask ourselves at this point is whether or not we even want to heal the wounds inflicted on us all in the past year or so. If the answer is yes, the only way we'll ever move on is just by forgiveness and letting go of grudges. Continued analysis of all that BS won't get us anywhere, and neither will this war. Edit: And before I get a quip saying "then why did you start it?" We didn't, and neither did LSF. Mutual defence means mutual defence, and dual-membership means de facto war. Were some of us gunning for a shot at INT out of lasting frustration and anger? Sure. And are some of us starting to regret this? Absolutely. But did we have a choice? Not really.
2. I remain proud to have my name on that list. Maybe even again someday. Congrats mates. <3
3. I must be missing the part where this changes anything.
4. Karma Episode II: The Hegemony Strikes Back
5. Neither UCR nor LSF have any ties to the ones really running the show here. Ties to ties I suppose, but I'm rather certain the minute the anarchists feel like they're pawns in a larger game they'll jump ship. Tends to be the way they work. At the moment though, I think I speak for all of us when I say we're content to be a part of the group just trying to overthrow the monarchy (so to speak).
6. Speaking personally I'd welcome this too. I'm not sure what everyone else on our end would think though, and I have even more serious doubts about the rest of INT. You're sort of unique in many ways among them Trik.
7. 1) Virtually everyone involving themselves in CN politics is a would-be dictator. So I don't see how this is relevant. 2) I didn't fail to sway the "Party" (I still love your adherence to these corny Soviet-style altruisms, never change), I failed to sway your personality cult because you're a better and more experienced charismatic authority than I. 3) I resigned after two years of fighting your (and others', but mostly your) desire for more. More power. More pixels. More friends. More entanglements. More will lead us to greatness. There's an old saying that I think applies well: Capitalism is the childish notion that there's no such thing as "too much." Yeah I had my hand in some of it, hell I even wrote the Umbrella treaty. There became a point where it was futile to even try and fight your influence over everything, and then a point where I was too disgusted by what I was doing. I can't imagine how lost INT is without you to be quite honest. I understand Q has made somewhat of a comeback though, which has been nice to hear. He was always quite a tad more level-headed than you.
8. It's funny you should talk of betrayal when you flat out abanoned the alliance that you put in such a shitty situation. But I guess that is pretty hard to digest.
9. FC didn't come back either, Marx has been gone forever, and Q went inactive, all of which left Craig to pursue effectively whatever he wanted.
10. When I said "We" I meant LSF, because we're effectively the same entity. And LSF just joined said 22 alliances. And it wasn't LSF's fault that so many people detest INT's actions in the past few years. You can name possibly one thing to blame LSF for (as previously mentioned), but again, you and I both know it wasn't one thing that caused all this.
11. The funny thing is we're not even the ones really doing the shooting. INT dug its grave long before the big LSF debacle last year, and anyone who's been there long enough is completely aware of this. Edit: Wtf is up with these forums. Line breaks aren't working.
12. You all clearly didn't read the treaty. There is no DoW. There is a recognition of hostilities, as UCR and LSF now comprise the same membership and LSF was currently at war. This treaty has been in the works for months (ask Trotsky, Hereno, jrkee, virtually anyone with a FB mask on the LSF forums) and was going to be announced either way late in this month, and war just sort of happened upon us. But as usual we all assume the worst and refuse to believe anything else. So whatever, continue with your futile whining.
13. A Joint Announcement from The LSF and The UCR Some will note that this treaty appears to be written in the form of a bloc. You would be correct to think this, as it was intended to have two further sets of signatures beneath it. The rapid decline of our comrades in the Socialist Workers Front and Nations Empowered Against Totalitarianism, be it due to inactivity or apathy towards this realm, leaves the Left wounded and deeply saddened. We have agreed that this treaty, therefore, should be left open for new entrants willing to take the places of our two dying friends. Our goal of leftist unity shall stand uncoloured for as long as this treaty exists, and as such, we hereby invite any current or future alliances who share our ideals to join us in our journey for a truly unified Left on Bob. And now a few notes from UCR: -We are no longer a member of the Arizona bloc, as of roughly a month or two ago. The TTE forums seem to be going through some issues so I can't check the exact date. -The UCR and Menotah have agreed, as the last two remaining members of the Kitten Defence Force, to dissolve the bloc. I don't have signatures or anything for this, but if it really bothers you (which I find highly unlikely) go ask them and they'll confirm it. -Nolaman61, an old member who has now returned to Bob, has recently been appointed our new IA minister. Congrats to him. -Pursuant to Die Linke, the UCR hereby recognizes a state of war with The International and the Orange Defense Network, thereby joining the Equilibrium coalition. Rest assured, however, that when this is all over we have no intention of becoming a limb (or finger, may be the better analogy) of any new attempts to control the global community by a few. Thank you all for your time. Edit: fml formatting.
14. I must say, that's a pretty awesome war flag. Edit: Btw, still love you J. And Cata. <3
15. While I remain skeptical that the coalition will truly break up and just leave all the power it's gained once the war ends, I still always enjoy a good Schatt WoT. Good luck mates.
16.
Thank you for not putting "declaration" in your title.
This a million times. Seriously people, the joke wore thin years ago.
17.
No, the decline of our civilization is attributable primarily to Smontag.
This was the only bit I got out of that, and I agree completely.
18. That's probably the grossest treaty name I've ever seen.
19. I'm expecting a well-coordinated DH-CnG counter and then counters on them from DR et al, like pretty much everyone else is. Perhaps we're in for a surprise this time, but I doubt it.
20. The one I see at the moment is Sponge winning missed player when Moo had more votes. Didn't bother to keep track. I'm really tired.
21. A few of the winners in the OP don't match the statistics provided.
22. something something escalated quickly something something.
