My earlier glib comments were authored in a hurry as I had a pressing matter that needed to be addressed. Now, let me tell you what I really think beyond making a few chicken noises. You are a pack of vile cowards. With each treaty you sign, there shall be legions of those who will remember this night and question why anyone would put their faith in you. You had a choice between honor and becoming a running joke. Admin only knows why you have chosen the latter. It is my sincere hope that your embarrassed members will slowly drift away from the empty shells you have allowed yourself to become. You disgust me, and deserve to be abandoned as you have abandoned what was supposed to have been your closest ally. I have often objected to the term 'Toilet Bowl' when referring to your bloc. I found it to be degrading. Tonight, no other name could be more appropriate. You are detritus, and deserve to be flushed by the poor deluded fools who, until tonight, believed you would stand with them through thick and thin. IF you have a shred of dignity left, you will do the right thing and move to Yellow, provided FAN will let you on their Team. Their standards are fairly high, however, so perhaps Grey should be your new team of choice. When lining up against a smaller opponent, you trip over each other to grab war slots. But when the entire Cyberverse is arrayed against you, your only race is to see who can run away fastest. Congratulations. It was a tie.

His eyes narrow and he scratches his head with his left hand, a perplexed look on his face. Emperor, it would appear that you have other things to worry about. I won't trouble you any further as I'm sure you *snort* really need to *guffaw* focus on.... Tears begin to well in kingzog's eyes. He stands up straight and looks directly at the assembled reporters before him. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! He pounds the lectern, shaking uncontrollably. Gradually, he calms down. OK, OK....whew!....right, where was I? Oh yes, the EZI thing. We really need to.... Hmmm....y'know what? Whew! Forget about it. As of now my people are free. kingzog leaves the room. His aides follow. Laughter echoes down the hallway.

Really? I think they'll collapse faster than Rosie O'Donnell's patio furniture. We aren't speaking of the Pacifica that existed three years ago, but rather of a slovenly group that have become accustomed to having others do their fighting for them. I'm thinking you have absolutely no clue as to what's happened in the previous 70+ pages, not to mention in the cyberverse as a whole over the last eighteen hours or so. The time for bluster and bravado is past. All that is left for the NPO at this point is embarrassment for a poor CB, a worse DoW and the stabbing of yet another of its allies in the back. It is a perfect storm of your own making. Well, removing their hands would stop NPO members with virtually no posts on these forums from coming in, ignoring an entire thread, and typing some variation of "Bring it" over and over again. That would be a plus, in that it would save them from future embarrassment.

If there is to be a Viceroy at the end of this conflict, it should be someone with previous government experience who perhaps has some recent experience in such things as the Red Senate. Off the top of my head I cannot think of anyone with that rather obscure skillset.

bigwoody.... From our limited dealings way back when, I think you're basically a good guy. I fully supported giving you and others refuge in NoV in the UjW, for example. I wasn't thrilled when you subsequently turned your back on the people who had saved you, but I know enough about realpolitik to also know that it was never personal. Now, I'm not going to lie. The CB your allies used was flimsy. But you honored your treaty, and for that you deserve at least some respect. Your allies' actions since war was declared have put you in a horrible spot and for what it's worth you have my sympathy. It may be that you genuinely didn't understand the anti-NPO sentiment, since they had always been good to you. I trust you now see that their primary interest will always be covering their own butts, regardless of what this will do to their supposed 'friends'. (I hope their other 'allies' are paying attention as well.) I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but I hope you are able to work things out before TORN is swept up/swept aside by the outrage that is building across Planet Bob. And with that I exit this thread. All the best.

And this is why I suggested that NPO members do themselves a favor and knock off the bluster, perhaps even avoiding this thread completely. Did they listen? Well no, they did not. And now we have this 70+-page humiliation of the NPO. But now that it's out in the open....pretty crummy thing to do to one's supposed 'ally', don't you think? (Especially since Moo didn't see fit to talk to TORN first.) I've seen a lot of dire NPO warnings about how those on the other side will turn into the very thing they hate. However, I cannot imagine the circumstances under which those alliances would turn on an ally so completely on the very first day of a conflict.
