1.
Would it be more amusing if I pointed out that we're using 55.1% of our slots to Sparta's 33.4%?
I also find it amusing that we have over double your counts of average nukes per member, over double your percentage of MP's per member, SDI's per member, WRC's per member, and over double your average nation strength. We also have (at least) a 33% better overall tech ratio, and three times your ratio of 70k+ nations.
 2.
Where did Hyp go? No offence to anyone but the delusional spartan was pretty amusing whilst this current conversation about slot usage just isn't
Clogged Los Angeles freeways don't usually like to lend a helping hand to my efforts to contribute to the "fascinating" conversations on this forum.
 3.
Eh first of all you didn't attack an entire bloc, you only DoW'd NV. That said AZTEC(which in total had about the same member count as Sparta) and its allies began hurting once MHA and later FARK were pulled in the war. The last one especially sped up the eventual peace agreement. So you can't exactly take credit for attacking an entire bloc as it was a joint effort.
1 - We went in knowing full well what we were getting in to. We only started with NV so as not to trip your other signatories' treaties. 2 - You and your allies far outnumbered and out NS'd us, DF and AO included. 3 - Before Fark and MHA came in, we did more damage to all of you than you all did to us...combined (I have the numbers somewhere). However, in the long term you still had greater member counts than us so you probably would have lasted longer. We would have done more damage to you, but we didn't have the numbers to keep cycles going to get a long term victory. We were banking on the war ending before you could turn it in your favor, and lucky for us Fark and MHA provided that service.
 4.
You forgot to add that Sparta has never lost a war either. We all know why though
Ah, right, because we "bandwagon" on every war. We're always "switching sides". Obviously the fact that we've worked with the same group of people for years in 4 straight wars means we're constantly changing sides. And obviously us winning has everything to do with us bandwagoning on random alliances (you know, instead of fighting on three fronts in Bipolar and attacking an entire bloc in the PB-NpO war), and not the fact that you and your ilk are too incompetent to prepare for, fight in, and win a single conflict. Don't blame us just because you don't have any ability to better yourselves.
 5.
I thought about writing a crushing response to Hyperion's post (something about proud meatshields, getting taken apart by AZTEC, and Hyperion being a lying !@#$), but sadly, Griff did it first.
Go ahead. Write something. I'd love to see you try to deny your incompetence.
 6. This is going to be weird not seeing Os and SecGen. congrats to all the electees!
 7.
Give the poor Spartan a break. They don't have many achievements to be proud of so we should have no issue sharing some of ours with them
Ah, yes, because NSO has so much to be proud of. You guys have certainly done sooooo much in your 2 and a half years of existence. When we were your age, we were over 13 million NS, had never been rolled for doing stupid !@#$, had over 2,000 nukes, and several times your membership count. Out of both of us, you are the one who has had many allies cancel on you out of not wanting to continuously have to bail you out of your own stupidity. You're the one who keeps getting caught doing stupid crap to other alliances. You're the one who is still barely over 2 mil NS, sitting at 16k average NS after two and a half months of rebuilding time. In that amount of time Sparta not only recovered, but surpassed our pre-war stats, and now we are well on our way to 4k nukes, over 37k average, and 20 100k+ nations. You are literally incapable of building your alliance into any sort of relevance, and politically you're so incompetent you can barely go a couple months without screwing something up, and don't even get me started about how you crumble against any sort of military opposition almost immediately in every single war. Out of the two of us, we are the ones who actually pull our weight in wars. We are not the ones who get ourselves rolled out of our own stupidity over, and over, and over again. We are not the ones who are so incompetent that you can't even build yourselves to any sort of respectable level with a third of the members to worry about. And you say we're the waste of space. Please.
 8. My best guess is September, because war always breaks out in the first week of the semester... As for sides, it doesn't matter who starts the war, as soon as everyone gets involved and nobody is free to protect Polar, TOP is going to absolutely nail their asses to the wall. That much is certain.
 9.
I guess it must be quite embarrassing to be consistently shown up in the 'ability' and 'balls' categories by an alliance much smaller than your own.
Looks like somebody is still mad that we used the Moldavi Doctrine before them.
 10.
Color unity is stupid, and it's been our experience that ego trumps working for the greater good in these situations pretty much 100% of the time. We wouldn't sign it. Let's not pretend anything, because you're asking us to make a decision on what we'd do in a major world war, effecting our entire alliance, as well as our allies, based on a hypothetical, and without our usual heated internal debate and discussion preceding a decision. Add to that the fact that it would be a friend fighting a friend? Yeah, this isn't something we can just give you an answer to, offhand. This would be a huge discussion and decision.
Well then, let me generalize it a bit more. What has STA done in the past in such situations, and did you find that the right course of action? Would you do it again?
 11. Let's pretend NSO actually did spy on legion for funzies and got caught. Legion goes to war and polar naturally rides with them. Considering that possibility was very real (or at least looked real from the outside) at the time, what do you think you would have done if it blew up?
 12. NSO not existing is enough for me to wish Ivan took the throne back.
 13.
We've apologized, quite sincerely, about a dozen times for that, both publicly on these forums, in our forum in your embassy, and privately. I really don't know what else you want from us. We screwed up. In the grand scheme of things, it wasn't even a huge deal. We're sorry for blackmailing you. We're even sorrier for betraying MT, who really, REALLY didn't deserve that. We're not going to apologize again. A dozen times is enough to let it freaking go, dude.
Which incident was this? I'm not really well versed in STA's history. Also, who do you see as the most immoral alliance in the world.
 14. Well, at least we all learned one thing here today. Alterego has no friends in CN. Shocker.
 15. This is a great move for both of you. The two of you were holding each other back for years, and now that you are separated it will be harder for people to group you together as some sort of giant evil/incompetent combine. I hope both of you enjoy your new freedom from such perceptions without each other.
 16.
This isn't about the NPO this is about how Legion accusing our gov member of spying with no evidence.
I wouldn't put it past you. You've spied on us and denied it. Hell, you've poached our members and denied it. All you ever do is deny deny deny and when you finally get caught doing something you either get away with it because we all have bigger problems to deal with than a little pissant like you or you get lucky enough to piss off the only alliance who will let you do anything to do them - Legion. I have no doubts that you spied on Legion, and quite frankly I don't give a damn if there isn't any proof.
 17. See guys, this is why I would never vote for a NGer for a position of power. They always go off and take other people's freedom, like socialists.
 18. Am I the only one who us dying to see legion 1v1 NSO?
 19.
Not to be an ass; but Sparta had to get help against a bunch of small alliances -- and honestly, that is quite sad. When MHA (I love MHA ) has to come and help...... yeah.
Um...I wouldn't really call NV small. Maybe small by comparison to us, but when you add them all up, 30 mil NS is still 30 mil NS. So I'm not sure what your point is.
 20. That countdown clock just keeps getting louder. Congrats to both parties.
 21.
I love how Spartans keep bragging about "achieving our goals". Your goals were, quite literally, to be meatshields. How in the hell can you be proud of that?
Because our side won. That's all that matters.
 22.
First quote answered by second quote. From last war I had RIA just wreck my nation 3v1. They were coordinated and fought well. Sparta...I found like 2-3 billion+ warchests and the rest never topped 500mil and at the 80k range I was fighting at that is terrible. The 3 Sparta nations I attacked could barely launch a counter-attack, didn't coordinate with nukes to get their highest tech guy nuking me despite the fact he had 20+ for the duration of my war, and never synched ground attacks. Sparta was outgunned last war and I think you're delusional to think you would have won that war provided MHA and FARK didn't help you out. Your "great upper tier" would have been dragged down into the mess of middle tier nations and had their subpar warchests wiped out.
If you fought RIA 3v1 on top of 3 bigger Spartans, there is no way your nation would be big enough to still fight 80k'ers after 2 rounds, or even 1 round for that matter. You probably fought mid tier spartans who had 500 mil-ish left adter 2 straight wars and are now trying to make that look less average than it really is. Add that into the fact that the single 80+ Spartan with a crap war chest was kept in peace mode for the whole war for obvious reasons, and imma call some bs on that story. Some of us didn't have as much money after 10-10 and the new-DF war (case in point me), but we were hardly poor. We made due with what we had, and it was enough to achieve our goals.
 23.
You seem to be forgetting about the fact MHA and Fark had to back them up.
Support is generally welcomed when you're fighting a dozen-something alliances. You guys had over 3 times our strength and somewhere in the ball park of 4 times our member count including AO and DF and you still had an inferior top tier, and that was even before MHA and Fark came in. We let our mid tier get swarmed and, to be honest, destroyed because we knew our top tier was on track to drag you all down with us anyway which was all we needed to accomplish our objective. Fark/MHA, however, decided that was a stupid plan and rather watch all of us get mutually destroyed over nothing came in and mopped up early. They turned a blood bath into an easy win, and damn did it feel good to watch how fast that war ended once they got rolling.
 24.
I was also in MHA back then and i can concur. I am actually a re-tired fleet commander for MHA so i can help you out. Sparta never "begged" for us to come in, nor did they "begged" Fark. We wanted to support and uphold our treaties. Thats the easiest to say. The majority of the alliance never agreed to the war, but we also couldn't see one of our closest friend fall. We know what we had to do, get in and help our ally and get out. Many alliances weren't please with our entry with Fark, but we weren't going to let our ally fall.
This. Even though they didn't agree with our actions, and even though we never even asked them to do something they didn't want to do, they came in and wrapped up the war anyway because they are just that good of allies. The fact that MHA and Fark came in for us despite everything that had happened prior is a testament to their character, and the exact reason we are proud to be in a bloc with them. The fact of that matter is, winning or losing the AZTEC front was of no concern to us. We could have gotten beat to hell from all dozen-ish alliances that were on us, but our success or failure didn't determine who won the war. All we had to do was simply be in the war in order to pull that massive of a response our way, rather than towards our allies. The fact that NATO/TFD were hitting us rather than hitting Umbrella, RIA, Athens, GOD, or ODN is good enough for me to justify our involvement. Some would say "so you're entire job was just to distract a huge portion of their forces and soak up damage, isn't that a meat shield?". Well, yes...yes it was. Do we care? Not really. If tanking AZTEC and all their friends for the sake of coalition was necessary for overall victory, than it sure as hell is worth it. People can say whatever they want about us, but at the end of the day, whether we were in a bad position or not, whether Fark/MHA turned a brutal assignment into an easy one, our side won. Your side lost. When it all comes down to it, I'll take a nice bloody victory over pleasing the world every day of the week.
