Can someone tell me something? After reading this thread, there seems to be something I am missing, horribly. A seemingly public piece of knowledge that this entire thread seems to hinge on. In fact I have noted that their motivation is entirely tactical. After the amount of crap Legion has been put through they deserve better though. Further, tactical or not, Polar and the rest of Legion's Ally's are cowards. No amount of strategy eliminates the fact that you are wetting yourself. I absolutely understand both in terms of numbers and strategy why Polar is doing what it's doing. I just think it's wrong. Still not too sure whether we are baiting them or preempting them yet.

The Snow is far more passive and unprepared for this compared to you, but its mass is still several times your own. Due to the fact you can only shovel so much, you are gonna need hours and hours to shovel it all. Similarly, due to the fact that you can only destroy so much infra/cash/tech within a given time frame, no matter how much Legion sucks, their sheer size will act as a buffer.

GATO ditched an ally we weren't going to have to defend anyways. NSO had hurt us and put us in a position of conflicted interest in the war, in our eyes. You keep saying GATO surrendered after a couple of days, but last I checked we didn't surrender in any form of the word. We got white peace from our conflict, for IAA too iirc. I know we refused to be your meatshields and so you think we "surrendered" from your side, but fact is we were never on your side. Even still, you don't seem to fathom the amount of effort we went through to do this. We declared a war that should have been illegal according to our charter, fought for nearly 2 weeks, and then continued to aid in a diplomatic and financial way to our Ally's recovery. Afterwords we amended our charter to ensure it would never happen again too. That amount of internal conflict and change in terms of effort means nothing for our love of our ally, does it? Of course not, acknowledging that wouldn't be convenient to you. You have offered no Aid, you have not declared a single war, and your politics all seem aimed at avoiding a curbstop you think is coming. I'm still not sure, are we baiting you, or preempting you? I look at your owf text, and then look at your nations, and can't seem to figure out which you think we are gonna do. This isn't about GATO though, this is about Polar letting Legion burn. Also realize you are trying to say " no u " to us, pointing out GATO's past failings, but in both situations [u][b]we did something[/b][/u]. You've still yet to lift a finger. They should have declared the first time someone countered your declaration on Tetris. They should have been aiding you with cash before that too. It doesn't matter if you don't want it. It doesn't matter if you don't ask for it. You have been hurt. You have been humiliated. You have been publicly mocked and disregarded. You deserve to have this war. You deserve your friends full support. You are getting kind words from peacemode. Friends are supposed to be there to do that sort of thing regardless of those circumstances. Instead yours are busy running to peacemode for fear of being preempted while claiming they are being baited. Meanwhile you fight alone.

Greg, I'd point you are talking to cyfe. He has always been outspoken hasn't he? Finding a few members from different alliances that act silly on owf is easy. You post here enough to know that. Also, really weird to see Gibs/Greg/Darth arguing. All friends of mine, and I'm not sure who I want to win. My take: Regardless of how valid this war ( Legion/Tetris) is or isn't, if Legion thought they were going to declare and nobody would back Tetris, they were silly. The amount of crap in terms of disrespect, humiliation, and sheer malevolence from other alliances to Legion is enough on its own to be a valid CB. The fact that their friends aren't coming in to help them is sad. It doesn't matter if Legion out numbers or out NS's their opponents 10 to 1. It's never "beaten enough " in war. Fact is their allies are staying out because they don't want this to escalate. It's entirely political, and it shows exactly what Legion's allies think of them: they're meatshields not worth burning for. It doesn't even matter if Legion is asking them to stay out. Legion has had mud thrown in its face and been disrespected left and right. They deserve not only to stand up for themselves but their ally's to stand up for them too. I doubt their ally's would help even if enough small alliances hopped on to outnumber Legion in stats 2 to 1. They've shown principle doesn't matter to them and that their politics is based entirely on how much a conflict is worth to them in numbers. Meanwhile Tertis' friends don't have to be asked, and don't need to have overwhelming odds in order to jump in, and likely won't give a crap if they lose, and sure as heck won't use an excuse of " our friends have -enough- of an edge, we don't need to intervene " . Legion's allies can say what they want. I think most everyone knows exactly why they aren't coming in. I understand the reasoning for it too. Let's not pretend it is something it isn't though. IAA did not go in to bait polar Greg. That would be a silly strategy since we all know in Polar's eyes Legion isn't worth biting for.
