Fortunately, a crack team has been set up to determine which captured 'ghosts' are genuine nations and which are not. Hopefully the results will start coming through within 6 1/2 more days.

War competent alliances (like Valhalla, MK, BAPS, an active FOK, the old Athens etc) might be valuable, but against significantly superior numbers they aren't hugely effective. In a short war, meatshields aren't useful. But in these grudge match wars we now have we need numbers and warvchests to help extend the war (and therefore the negotiating). Alliances like IRON and the ODN are probably the best war machines *overall* because of their size, even if they have a greater share of inactives than smaller, elite alliances.

I actually sympathise with the OP. There is an awful lot of religious bigotry here. I don't know about his personal situation (I don't have an RIA forum account) but there is clearly an issue. Holy Ruler, I would suggest joining somewhere like the ODN (if they want you) as they enforce a fair moderation system on their forums. Language like that would not be acceptable.

TOP was an unbelievably formidable #1 alliance. While not *quite* at (today's) Umbrella's relative position in terms of average stats, with over 200 members it was almost impossible to defeat. The only way it could be done was through it's own actions as otherwise I doubt any coalition could have fostered the will to take them on. By comparison MHA and the NPO are nothing. The NPO's strength was political rather than statistical while MHA is just there.

Sparta, if you wanted all of your allies to be on the same side as you then you probably should have not joined XX. Everyone could see C&G and SF were going to end up on opposite sides of a war, it's not much of a surprise. The thing is, C&G were quite happy to sit back from this war, but when Fark pre-empted the NPO they were suddenly pulled into the thick of it. You made a dumb decision. You tried playing politics with your XX bloc, and now you've been burnt because you didn't do a competent job. Just because you have a treaty does not mean that treaty will be followed if there is a conflict of interest. You've been lucky, since Karma you wedged yourself inbetween C&G and SF and didn't have to deal with conflicts. But when you tried to become a political power with XX, you didn't do the groundwork. MCRABT is correct when he says you've clearly never been on the losing side, because this is what happens and you're spazzing out over an unavoidable situation.

TLR should be doing this imo.

When the coalition starts to use the server irc.darklordpotter.net then it's a bit too late to say we can't allude to their origins in anyway.
