1. Good decision Lord Augustine. I know you just got roped into the situation unwittingly.
 2. Please change UPN forum link to cnupn.org
 3. Blaming these events on UPN is just absurd. Next time some real life misfortune hits you, don't come running to me for help. Congratulating her for her act of vandalism, like you just did Destro, says an aweful lot about your character.
 4.
Drivel
You really need to get over this obsession about me. I'm married.
 5.
What would you consider to be the first and second ages of UPN?
Hi Don A Foundocracy & a Prime Ministerialship
 6. Running an alliance is intense, there is always a countless number of things you want to do and only a certain time to do them. So, we're evolving. As per Article 3 of the UPN Charter: Amendments we hereby evoke the following changes: UPN will be henceforth be led by a Trium, who will represent the alliance on the international stage, be guardians of the civil liberties we hold dear and bring forth initiatives to strengthen and empower the alliance in its aims. The Trium will each focus and specialise on one aspect of alliance life to bring this about. Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs & Military Affairs. They will appoint the best and brightest to the role of Minister, who will form a 5-member Senate, the executive body of the UPN government. They will organise 5 departments within the UPN. Defense, Diplomacy, Interior, Finances & the Academy. No position is elected. Democracy hasn't served UPN well in the past, since elected government has sadly proven over the years to be just as vulnerable to self-interest. UPN's aims, before, now and forevermore is to serve the interests of its members. We have no kings, only leaders. Full Treaty Text can be found here: http://cnupn.net/forums/index.php?topic=9788.0 We've made mistakes in the past. Plenty of mistakes and I'm sure in the future we'll make more. However adapting with the times and having the courage to step out into the light of the new day isn't one of them. Ever evolving, ever changing, the purple flame burns with an ever growing intensity. Altheus, Trium of Foreign Affairs Robster, Trium of Military Affairs Kevanovia, Trium of Internal Affairs
 7. Economic Left/Right: -4.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.28 Interesting stuff. I guess I'm not surprised by the second, but the first has me as more right than I usually consider myself.
 8.
Like I said, I have no problem with anybody using it. I don't think I need compensation or anything. I just wish somebody had let me know it was being used.
The banner was made for me by a UPN member who obviously incorporated your design into his work. I don't think any of us were actually aware of its origins, Thank you all the same and I do agree it looks rather good.
 9. This thread impiles NEW having learnt to read in the last few days which seems to me unlikly.
 10. Nearly 4 years ago I founded the United Purple Nations. I founded it because myself & my friends wanted a home to belong to that we could call our own. A home that cut the crap and functioned like we wanted. We're not your conventional alliance, we've got no wish to be. We are simply what and who we are and we don't need your permission to do jack squat. UPN is fulfilling its purpose exactly. It is a home for its members and we're having a bloody good time. We're not going to disband, we're never going to disband and the only way the plug will ever be pulled is when the cyberverse ends. I'm going to running UPN again. The alliance needs me and I'll always be there for it. I'm posting this so I don't have to reply to each and every message asking what I'm going to do. Simples.
 11.
As soon as the treaty cancellations are complete. Hmm..am I the only one with a feeling of déja vu?
No, you're really really not...
 12. Just to back up what Haf's saying I know a number of those figures are inflated, but heh, don't let me spoil your fun
 13. I like the fact that this treaty doesn't try to make out it's something it's not. Also in favour of open senate agreements. In many ways this is what PEACE should have been the first time round.
 14. Just propaganda. The only conclusion anyone can draw out from your comments MVP is that you don't like Polaris.
 15.
Well, thank you for acknowledging that Invicta had nothing to do with your survival. We all know that Invicta hasn't the power to protect a thing. To say otherwise would be a lie. And also, thank you for mentioning that what ultimately kept Europa alive was CDT's cowardice and lack of spine. I had neglected to point that out there, but I was going to when I came back.
You really are that idiotic. I'll repeat again. CDT didn't threaten Europa and had no interest in harming them. It's sole interest was in preventing Europa from threatening UCN as UCN was a CDT member. CDT achieved that successfully.
 16.
Exactly what it means. We asked them both to stay in UCN prior to the disbandment to help us keep everything together. Erik left to found his own alliance, Fox left for TPE. They had no interest when it made a difference.
So you didn't like them for not helping previously. I can understand that, but it didn't give you the right to tell them they couldn't try later.
 17.
Darkfox wasn't in UCN at the time. Erik was a probationary member.
And that means they didn't get an opinion?
 18.

You felt that you owned the rights to UCN and were therefore justified to prevent Darkfox, Erik & others from continuing it on. We felt that those that wished to continue an alliance on had the right to decide what it should look like. It's a pretty fundamental disagreement. I don't know why you're trying to make out that I didn't know any of you, or Darkfox and others. That seems like a pretty odd arguement considering we'd been happily in the same bloc for over a year. #CDT_Private was a very busy thriving busy channel and you guys were nearly always there. I felt at the time you thought we weren't listening. We were, it's just that we disagreed with what you were saying. Basically we didn't like the fact that Europa felt it could decide what Darkfox, Erik and others could or couldn't do and some of your members were quite threatening about it. We told Darkfox, Erik & co. that we'd help them any way we could. Back to your original statement. CDT didn't threaten Europa and we had no interest in any conflict.
It's funny that MK is accused of extortion these days, when the very alliances that oppose it (UPN, USN) are the same alliances that extorted our artistic creations out of us.
That's just silly. UPN & USN didn't want any of your darn artistic creations. We just didn't want you to forcibly take them away from your old alliance. To extort something implies that we'd get anything out of the deal.
 19.
CDT threatened our existence several times in the beginning.
No. I'm going to call you out on that because it's not very nice to tell untruths. CDT didn't want Europa dead. A number, (including myself) thought that the way Europa left UCN was badly handled and therefore told the remaining UCN members that they had our complete support if they wished to continue. To turn that around and make out that that was threatening Europa is ridiculous. A number of Europa members were rude, insulting & demanded that UCN disbanded and stopped using their old flag as it was deemed to be the property of Europa. I didn't like you attitude, but in the interests of peace spent considerable effort trying to broker better relations between Europa & the remaing UCN members (as you perfectly well know Che) At all times our efforts were on calming the situation down and re-estabilising relations, despite much provocation frankly. Interfering, yes, guilty as charged. Friends that we'd known for a long time had asked for our help. Threatening? No way. The only threatening going on was Europa telling UCN they had "no right to continue".
 20. The top 5% are comfortably over 10 million net a day & 100,000 citizens. The top 100 nations are presumeably a good bit more than that.
 21.
Who gives a hoot? Most alliances in this game are terribad anyways.
Well, inevitably some ex-members of a disbanded alliance give a hoot and the alliance was for them to enjoy being part of rather than anyone outside. Having that said though it's impossible to ultimately force an alliance to disband and so if they felt strongly about it they perhaps they should have had the strength of conviction to keep things going themselves. Not much fun though, unless you're into a FAN or Vox Populi-style resistance.
 22. I'm not pissed off at you. Like you said, whatever anyone elses motivations, OsRavan did what he thought was best.
 23.
snip
I've already explained in this thread so if you missed it you may want to refer to that for answers. Aside from that though you seem to have answered you own question. Yes, UPN let the rest of CDT know that it intended to leave and then was waiting to see what the remaining signatories wished to do before going public. Hence the delays.
