1.
Is there a reason you are so upset?
Unless you have a reason, it seems you're just kinda being a jerk? That does tend to annoy some people.
 2.
The amount of butthurt emanating from you is like nothing I've ever seen before.
So you're new here then? Also, if I were pacifican, I'd buy one and then regret it later, but I'd still buy it.
 3.
Any chance this is related to the attacks on GPA? Or is your alliance and NSO merely joining in on some GPA ghosting hunting? Just curious.
While I realize you've got a question, and this is as good a place to ask it as any, it's quite unlikely that an internal promotion is related to that. Besides, it's hardly a glorious charge lead by an update blitz, is it? So you're probably not going to get a really interesting answer like, 'We've been waging a secret war against those damn neutrals for years', are you? Also congrats Sandler.
 4.
Well that's just genius. The war ended and now that it's over, the ghost / rogue said he wasn't going to use nukes, so the sanction wasn't necessary. There's no way to prove one way or the other now is there but generally when someone has nukes and declares war on another alliance, they use them. Hence, Andover, renowned for being !@#$ scared of nukes went running to see if he could get the nation, who was not part of an alliance (despite ghosting one) and was therefore a rogue nation, sanctioned.
If sanction could stop him nuking, I could see the point, but taking away his uranium trade only stops him buying more, and if anything, it makes him more likely to nuke, because if he wasn't going to before, he now has a pile of nukes with double upkeep, and he's just lost his trades. So really, unless you know he has a record of nuclear roguery, or you know he's told people he'll nuke, it might be safer to wait.
 5.
Well then we have 2 different sides to this since his message gave the impression of rouge (or bandwagoner) here to help but not part of the alliance.
rogue It's really not that hard, please try and get it right Also, if he wasn't going to nuke, the sanction was probably unnecessary. In a war, the winning side wouldn't want to start it because it'll probably do more damage to them, long-term, and the losing side probably wouldn't be able to turn things around with sanctions, unlike with nukes, (which I hear could have changed the result of GWII) so why bother? Especially as broken trades would hurt their recovery.
 6. I guess this'll be kinda interesting when FnKa want peace, but until then, have fun, I guess.
 7.
I guess I'm undead now and can't be killed again.
Seen Zombieland?
 8.
We have more NS and nations than many recognized alliances out there, so I don't see how it would be allowing a rogue to nuke. Do I have a CB to declare on anyone trading uranium to GOONS or does me being on the smaller side in this war mean they should get help from everyone and me no help, aid, tech deals or trades? I'm putting up a fight against an alliance much larger than my own, why do so many people see a need to help GOONS in every way possible to try making them win regardless of lack of ability on the alliances part?
This is a wasted question if the answer is what I'm expecting, but can you read? If you can find one actual reference to you or your raving insanity, I'll join your moronic cause and declare on GOONS tomorrow. It was about whether giving a nuclear rogue a uranium trade was acceptable or not. If you couldn't tell, by the way, I don't know or care if you are a rogue, I just hope GOONS crush you like a potato under a tank
 9.
Anything that goes beyond sanctions is "beyond reasonable limits". You claim there's a difference between trading because you need resources and supplying uranium, there isn't. So uranium is needed for nukes, what if you want to drain his war chest faster by denying resources beyond the reach of sanctions? Aluminium lowers aircraft cost: Deny that resource. Lead lowers the cost of nukes and CM: Deny that resource. Iron, Oil, Pigs, Rubber all decrease your opponents bills. Deny those resources. You see that there is no difference between Uranium and other resources. Using a willing trade beyond the reach of sanctions as a CB is reaching, trying to see how far the community will go. Well, this is a bridge too far. Don't go there.
Pretty much what ktarthan said, the fact that uranium allows nukes, which are so much more damaging than pretty much anything else distinguishes it from any other resource. If someone provides a uranium trade knowing full well that it's going to allow a rogue to nuke, that's as bad or worse than aiding them, especially if the rogue is fighting non-nuclear nations.
 10.
I am confused. The OP is not becoming of your style. It disappoints me.
Which I guess is kinda why it worked
I wonder how many people checked CoJ and GOD's treaties on cyberwiki before figuring out the hoax...
Waaaaay too many
 11.
Just curious. Did this thread convince anyone of anything besides the fact that Schattenmann likes to type a whole lot? No, I'm not talking about you perpetual GOONS haters who will naysay us regardless of the circumstances. You know who you are. I'm talking about fence sitters, or people who like GOONS. Did this massive wall of words change your mind to the anti-GOONS camp? Did it even make you reconsider your feelings toward us for a moment?
At first I was kinda GOONS But then your responses explained it, and actually kinad improved my opinion of you guys, which I'm sure you're relived to hear So yeah, boo Schatt
 12.
Each to her own. I enjoy the multipolarity myself.
I liked the tension, knowing that if you screw this one up, it's not going to be easy getting back up, or the flip side of the coin, a high risk, high reward situation, if you lose, the other side certainly won't just let you off, but if you win, you can make the rules. It's all good though, and multipolarity certainly has it's upside. Like you said though, each to their own. I'm just talking so much because I'm bored
 13.
If you're *too* safe, life gets boring. I quite enjoy the occasional war.
Don't we all? Except for maybe GPA? Personally, I miss the old days when the result of each war decided who ruled round here for the next while. I don't think Bi-Polar had that potential, but since I ended up watching from the sidelines, I could be wrong. Edit:
And so here we are today. The right of the recognized alliances to essentially damn the torpedoes and fly in the face of what others ask, no matter what that might be, is paramount. Defiance has become more important than the actual reason to be defiant. The freedom to act has become more important than actually considering what those actions are.
Anyways, in an attempt to keep myself the slightest bit to the point, I'd like to say I disagree with this. The 'recognized alliances' know what they want and how to get it, but that's not really any different from how things used to be, really.
 14.
My point is that I'm perfectly safe in a non-Francoist alliance. If the OP didn't intend to reference Francoism, then I apologise, but there were echoes of it in this essay thing.
I noticed that, and while I've never really had any time for CN political theory, just because it's Francoist, doesn't mean he's wrong. On the other hand, do whatever's fun, and you're probably safer in a non-francoist alliance, they do all seem to attract more than their fair share of trouble.
 15. Hey Sandler, hows it going? Also happy birthday
 16.
Argh. This is a lot of pseudo-Francoist nonsense. It's been said before and said better by Vladimir. Sure, perhaps in the interests of safety, one must give up a little freedom, but one must do this to varying extents. Those who are prepared to give up their liberty in the name of safety deserve neither.
I think the important point is in the varying extents part. The more freedom you give up the safer you are, but neither should you give up all of your freedom, and the balance is really up to personal preference?
 17. I guess this is what secret aid was put in for, and it's an interesting situation, although I still wish methrage would just die already. Or at least give up and shut up.
 18. Once I saw the filter, I had to post here. So aye, fair winds with this bilgewater busting thing Also yarr
 19. aye, to be honest, Methrage, I'm surprised yer not doing better, considering your wonder and improvement set, so I guess ye do kinda suck.
 20. It's excellent to see you've got this far, good luck in the future
 21. o/ Pacifica It'll be kinda odd without the council though
 22.
Meh, don't we all wish we could be like MK edit: your forum AA says Invicta and your sig says NSO yet you're in neither. You're weird D:
lol, I am in Invicta, and this sig was made for me when I was a pacifican Who says I'm in neither? And yes, we so do
 23.
Point taken, apologies for the confusion although i'm fairly sure he was gov at one point at least and that still doesn't decrease the ammount of amazemtn at some of his statements. I sometimes doubt the fact they're humanly possible, at least coming from a guy who can at least be gramatically correct D: MK's not allied to Sparta.
Well, he is a deputy finance minister atm, and as to his statements, well, your opinion is your own. MK's not allied to Sparta, but earlier, you said G&G/SF/etc, so I went from that. Just for you, I had a look at MK's treaties on the wiki, and GR seems like a bit of a 'support pillar' to me, if that suits you better, although I'm sure they're a better alliance than Sparta, so it ruins my comeback
 24.
No offense (sine you're one of the few NPO posters that doesn't sounds completely full of crap nowadays) but Invicta never ever gave off the feeling they'd amass to anything without trying to be a support pilar for someone else, it's always been that way and will probably stay the same. And when you're reffering to power, while skipping the fact that you ARE the #2 alliance in the game stat-wise, i guess you're reffering to cng/sf/etc when you think power since we actually didn't lose the last 2 or so wars so we got the hot potato - do you see us allying Invicta, asking them to come to our sphere or having anything to do with them for that matter? Especially when i honestly can't imagine how people would come close to showing support to an alliance lead by Haflinger, i've seen so much sheer stupidity in his posts these last years i just can't get around it. But hey, GOOD LUCK WITH IT RIGHT. P.S. First time since i can remember that i actually don't hate Valhalla posts and that i didn't regret them getting off with no reps after karma war.
You were doing so well, and then you got to Haflinger, oh well It's really weird how people always think he's Invicta's leader, because he certainly isn't now and I don't think he ever has. Also, you don't see SG allying with Invicta because their views, friends and such are incompatible. If you guys didn't ally with useless alliances, why Sparta?
 25. Plainly nobody told the the war's over Or possibly a close ally told them they're about to get rolled by a huge block, pretty wild but it could happen, right? Edit: dammit Thunder Strike
