  1. Congrats NADC! This thread is getting more awesome by the minute.
  2. Vinzent Zeppelin of January 2009: Keep collecting taxes at least once every 20 days, and make preparations for May 7.
  3. Actually, my nation's starting to get a little overcrowded.... Jokes aside, hurrah us.
  4. Granted, but that hasn't slowed them down much in the way of Manhattan Projects -- though perhaps I did overlook that WRCs by their nature require more than one month's purchase. (And FAN's presence on these lists is impressive, all things considered.)
  5. We have more WRC's than FAN and GOD? That's actually kind of surprising.
  6. Most inventive treaty of the year. Hail and respects to our new associates.
  7. Depending on who you ask: He destroyed ICP, he destroyed SWF, he destroyed NoR, he destroyed ICP again, he destroyed LSF, he destroyed NoV, he's a racist, he's a tyrant, he's a troll, and he's a warmonger. Yeah, I'd say overrated. Also, I have to disagree with Kingzog's self-nomination.
  8. I will take this opportunity to ignore completely the restriction of 3 maximum current alliance-mates; it would not be my "dream team" without several of them -- however, it's also not a carbon-copy of the current government by a long shot. Monarchy Kaiser: Kingzog (he's generally considered the best Kaiser NoR ever had) Kronprinz: Myself (I rather like being second-in-command) Cabinet Recruitment: Erik (was recruiter for a while for NoR in another game and did a great job) Interior: Wartides14 (he lives and dies by protocol, haha) Foreign Minister: Hizzy and pd73bassman (it seems like something they'd do well together) Reichsgeneral: Chiftelos (organization and discipline are his strong points) Reichsbanker: Myworld and PuliSher (I've seen outstanding efforts from both in organizing commerce) Security: Electron Sponge (worked with him for a short time in Vox; he knows what he's doing) Culture and Propaganda: Sigurd Odinnson (excellent knack for organization and building an identity) and Schattenmann (Editor-in-Chief for obvious reasons) Legislative Althing: Shurukian, Kaiser Martens, UnLimited, XRCatD, Sithis/GenPinochet, Magnus Nordir, Isolde, Nemhauser, Starfox As you might have noticed, I have avoided the convention of stuffing as many "big names" into one lineup as possible, as I have had little or no interaction on a personal or professional level with most of them. These are mostly people I have worked with in Nordreich, Norden Verein, and Vox Populi, along with a couple others -- Hizzy of Nueva Vida, Myworld of Dark Templar, Shurukian of The Sasori Initiative. I really wanted Doitzel in there somewhere (he's pretty great), but I'd have no idea where to stick him.
  9. Proud to say I happen to not be one of those seven; though honestly, it's not a "war game".
  10. I said nothing about "begging for your lives". And as for being pestered by raiders, you probably knew that was what would happen.
  11. Or cordially request peace, and build up a sizeable military force to act as a deterrent (nukes help).
  12. Duly noted, but that basically results in an entire chain of wars of your members defending against our members defending against your members defending against our member, which results in wholesale destruction on your part, more or less.
  13. Well, as I understand it Dochartaigh was the one who raided; everyone else just attacked in his defense. Did you consider simply asking for peace? Also, you declared war on our entire alliance, but you only "have beef with" the five listed above? What does that mean?
  14. And right you were! I remember the Unjust War fondly. I received a Blue Max for my part in nearly single-handedly organizing war aid for the duration of the war, and conducting peace negotiations during the latter part of it. Fought eight nations, the ruler names of which I still have. I was honestly surprised at how well we were able to hold up against a coalition nearly twice our strength (not counting GOONS).
  15. The three concentric borders are entirely superfluous, and do little more than introduce odd colours. Eliminate the borders and you have a decent flag. Looks very good. The colours complement each other and the sole symbol is easily recognizable. A solid background would be preferable, I think, particularly since the runes wouldn't even be distinguishable at a distance, and they're not easily duplicated. Other than that, it's a beautiful flag (though I may be biased in favour of the particular colour combination you chose). The two shades of blue are not differentiated enough. The laurel doesn't contrast well with the background, and it looks like the shade of brown is inconsistent. I could not tell that the shapes overlaying the globe were U's at first, and they generally obscure it. Try dispensing with the lettering, making the globe simpler, and using more consistent, complementary colours. Eliminate the gradient in the tree trunks (gradients violate rule #3) and it should be fine, though I wonder why you opted to duplicate the tree symbol.
  16. Looks like we got sanctioned. How about that.
  17. I can speak only for myself, but I'm having more fun, although stagnation is setting in, which is not altogether surprising.
  18. B, 4, "Ok". Would have chosen 5 for the second question, but I lost a bit of infrastructure in the war with SOS Brigade.
  19. It's only stupid if you don't play to win.
  20. Nicely done. We ought to celebrate with a gigantic tech deal or something.
