I have seen the logs, and I must admit that it is not how I would have done it. But saying that, I don't think the Karma side had much of a choice. This is a war which was meant to happen. These are the reasons which started it. As with all wars, this war is about a lot more than just OV - this is easily evident from the propaganda and people's opinions, even those posted on the public forums. I am sure much is yet to happen, but nothing that has happened can be changed.

Echelon is tied to NPO via 1V regardless of that treaty.

I'm sorry but I do not support this. Whether what NPO did was right or wrong is irrelevant. You were in an alliance allied to them, who had the courage to declare war in NPO's support, against all odds. The fact that you decide to betray your alliance at such a time is unconscionable. The fact that they changed their minds is not your fault, but you should stay and fight.

mhawk AUT you What I don't understand is why alliance leaders are leaving their alliance to fight for NPO, rather than getting their alliance to fight for NPO. Seriously. If you truly need legal barter, then get NPO to sign a treaty with you, I'm sure they would not be against this - as I hear they are in need of new allies.

As opposed to all the previous wars, where NPO's actions were far worse - where you agreed with them. Of course - it has nothing to do with that fact that you don't give two !@#$% about your allies, and all you care about is not getting owned.

!@#$%*^. This is a war that needed to happen - at least fight honourable with your allies for once in your lives. Now you will forever be known as the alliances who will betray anyone to not lose a war. Nobody worthwhile is going to trust you nor want to sign treaties with you.

Make sure you allies follow you to war, otherwise this war will suck, NPO.

Hello Basically, this is the situation; After Soldier's initial war with TPF, when AUT was found to be Misr, Dark Fist thought it would be a good idea to send some aid to Soldier, to help them re-build from the war - as I was quiet upset with TPF's treatment of it's protectorate at the time. Our major connection in Soldier was Facetten, who is an ex-FIST government member, who was also a Soldier government member. He helped us build solid relations between our alliances and after discussions with Soldier government, we found them to be good people, and so we decided to send 180mill in aid to their most badly damaged nations - and in return, Soldier would vote for our senator. Following this time, Soldier re-aligned themselves to be a protectorate of TPF again. This is simply what they decided given certainly difficult circumstances and external pressures they faced. Yesterday, it was found out by Soldier members, that they would be entering this war on TPF's side (I am not spying on Soldier, I am simply assuming this from the timing of the departure of Facetten and TheStig, and their reasons for wanting to join Dark Fist on their applications). Because Facetten and TheStig were upset with the fact that Soldier would be fighting for the alliance which destroyed them and attacked both their nations, they did not want to stay in Soldier, and decided to leave. Their reason for wanting to join Dark Fist is because we were the alliance who sent aid to Soldier after their war with TPF along with our alignment in the present world conflict. They were not asked by me to leave Soldier, they already made the decision to leave Soldier. When Facetten asked me for good and honourable alliances to join which would be on the side of the war opposite to TPF, and as me and him are long-time friends and used to be in the same alliance, I naturally suggested my own TheStig came over with Facetten - I was not aware of this at all, until Facetten told me he was coming too. But I want to make it clear, that I did not recruit these players out of Soldier. They chose to leave, and then, separately, they chose to join Dark Fist. One may look down on their actions - leaving soon before Soldier declared war, but one can also understand them not wanting to fight for an alliance which almost destroyed theirs. I do wish the best of luck to Soldier. I can understand why they are upset, as both of these nations were government members from my understanding and it's close to war for all of us. But given that Soldier was not at war at the time they left, and given I believe every nation deserves the right to fight for their side of choice, I couldn't in good faith deny their applications. Undoubtedly, these types of things happen every war, where nations holding strong political views for whatever reason end up being on sides different to the ones they support. But every nation is a free nation - and thus has the right to choose it's path. These nations are now our members, and they will be protected as such I hope our relations can normalise in the future. I would also ask for people to be respectable to all parties. Just because we're on opposite sides of a war, does not mean we can't be civilized Thanks, that is all.

Hello dear Kings & Queens, Dictators, Presidents, Party Secretaries, Prime Ministers, Anarchists, Revolutionaries and Sponge. We've been meaning to announce several things for a while, but we have been lazy...very lazy. But now, amidst the drama and tension, we shall proclaim our awesomeness to the world. Anthem Back around a year ago, the alliance of FIST brought forth the idea of having an alliance anthem. We at Dark Fist have kept this niche tradition, and have voted for the following song to be our anthem, as voted by our membership: Motto And of course we have to have a motto. For a while, ours used to be the catch-phrase from the aforementioned piece of fine musical art - however, one day our Flying Penor Man (otherwise known as Daikos) came up with something even better. Naturally, it was instantly voted on and won. "Dark Fist: Waving our d**ks around at high speeds to maximize damage." Growth We have been growing very nicely, with some recruits, infra jumps, tech hoarding and what have you. We even reached a new milestone of 1.4mill total NS. Then three people got deleted in the last 3 days, for reasons ranging from being inactive to logging in from work (let that be a lesson to the rest of you ), so we're down around 50k again. Luckily none of them had nukes - so nothing of value was lost. This brings me to my next point... Nukes So a little while ago, we thought we'd get some nukes - and so in a short time, we more than doubled our nuke count. We also thought we'd race Aircastle to see who could get the most nukes...bad idea. They are devious bums who utilise clearly cheating tactics (Hi John Ron ) So anyway, we now have 362 nukes, which is approximately 7 per member. That's pretty good - not great like Aircastle, but still pretty good. But from my perspective, it's more work to delete them than to keep them, so yeh. I never understood embassy cleanups...oh well. Rest assured, that we won't get rid of your embassy because you're uber inactive there (Hey, everyone knows IRC is superior to forums anyway). Tech Dealing The next alliance to ask us for tech sellers will get it's butt kicked out of our forums. That is all. Also, it seems to me that several alliances (especially black) have stolen my wiki design. It's great, isn't it?
