  1. We'd choose war, our alternate IRC tag is "Warmonger" besides, what fun would this game be if we choose never to fight in a major war again? I certainty don't keep a warchest around because it looks pretty.
  2. mmm, 101 birthday nukes... Happy birthday sig, That Cak-ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD o/ ANGELITE o/ SIG o/ MINDLESS HAILING o/ HYPNOTOAD
  3. man this thread has it all, potential CBs, Log dumps, a smear campaign, doctored logs, e-lawyering...and much more. I believe this earns Invicta a "Brilliant political move" from me.
  4. Or did? we know. ...yep. your cube "friend" told us everything.
  5. HA! you thought the Blackstone collusion was a joke, only now do you realize one of their agents has penetrated your precious government! Now with this vital information on the public forums, let the controversy ensue.
  6. I spy on CSN's Government channel, this is their latest scheme. Beware, Log Dump ahead: /discuss.
  7. AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION As the Appointed Director of Education of the Oppressed people of the Commonwealth of Sovereign Nations, I would like to say: CSN Fronz, Director of Education, Chairman of the Anti-Fun Society, e-lawyer by trade.
  8. * What drew you to your alliance? CSN was going to war, and my previous alliance was going to sit things out. * Why have you stayed in your alliance, what makes it better (in your mind) than maybe a larger alliance? The people are just, well, awesome. * Why, in your opinion, do people "hop" alliances? they are unhappy with something. * What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? I don't know that!
  9. Well that's sad. You two seemed to have a promising relationship, none the less good luck to both signatories. If this was not a joke: Oh blast! you found us out! Oh wait...they are still signatories of the Solidarity Pact for an Allied Maroon and the Maroon Economic Pact... Our plans have failed guise, sorry /sarcasm Else: Edit: I blame Ruben
  10. I think this is a little ridiculous, all of these options really have nothing to do with sovereignty, and Ill explain: First off, I voted "None of these infringe on an alliance's sovereignty" because technically an alliance has no control over the in-game messaging system thus nothing can be infringed. I think Sovereignty should have been defined in the OP, but since it was not, I'm just going to go with Wikipedia's definition: "Sovereignty is the quality of having supreme, independent authority over a territory." If we consider the messaging system a territory of the game, then an alliance can have no sovereign clam to it as they do not have supreme, independent authority over what messages their members send or receive therefor they have no "sovereign right" to claim over it simply because the game mechanics do not allow it. Does this make these things ethically right? well that's another discussion/poll in its self
  11. Wait, What is a MD - CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH PARTIES! O/ ANGELITE O/ IMMORTALS O/ MINDLESS HAILS.
  12. Interestingly enough its usually former USN members that do the piling on.
  13. I can certainly say this was an interesting turn of events and i was a bit shocked when I first heard about the cancellation, but looking into it after the fact the tone of this thread is really quite appropriate. I am intrigued to see what will come next, although in terms of chess, I would consider this a "checkmate" for USN.
  14. Not a lot of threads here really make me seriously laugh out loud. This thread now holds the high honor of making Fronz lol. (probably doesn't mean much, but I just wanted to let you know) Also Congrats on your first brithday
  15. Actually, its the 29th. Although talks about splitting from TAGA/MAG started around the 1st, and the forums were created on the 16th or something We just used the DoE/Recruitment thread as our reference point since it was when we publicly declared ourselves an alliance. also says it in the wiki >_>
  16. I thought i wrote that up ;_; never mind, i wrote up some random elections thread thing about us couping the government via our regular democratic elections >_>
  17. Little early arn't ya? USN was founded on the 29th of October Congrats anyway, although the way I have seen things handled lately doesn't exactly make me as proud as I once was to be an former/founding member. There has definitely been some of that USN class lost over the years. To be frank I doubt it, but hopefully someday you can return USN to its former glory. I tried to bring about change when I re-joined too Cam, to also have a "revolution" of sorts, but I gave up when I found the spirit of the alliance and beliefs of democracy that once were, were no longer there, and people would not even bother questioning the status quo or question others agendas and motives. Perhaps you persistence will bring you better luck in rejuvenating this alliance. As for the coup stuff, I feel this is much ado about nothing. there has been plan after plan to "subvert our elected government" since what, 2007? as far as I know never have the plans actually transpired and before such coups could even happen they were known about and measures were taken to prevent them.

    Best DoW

I still think it was USN's DoW on cake: http://z15.invisionfree.com/Cyber_Nations/...showtopic=60081 Xiao Weng always had the best announcements. (Also our DoN during GWIII)
  19. I would also have to agree with you to an extent, when the member base is active democracies can be really great and I think all alliances should have some underlying emergency democracy powers given to the general masses just in-case everything goes to hell, at least 50%+1 wont leave because they can do something about the situation. I guess what I'm saying is the system is very venerable to inactivity, all governments are, but I think democracies are the most venerable. During elections (when i was in the USN) we would only get a voter turn out of ~25 members out of ~120 when everyone was mass messaged about government elections, and every election at least one person won by default because there were not enough active people/willing people to also run for that position. I think this is where democracy fails, when you only have about a 1/4th of the alliance actually participating and there are people getting elected to high level government positions without a vote since there was no one to run against them, regardless if they are fit for the job or not. When it gets to this point you should really think about shaking things up and radically change the system. I don't think most people think about the point of a democracy and the logic behind it when they leave, usually they are driven by emotion. I left because i was angry. I was told we were going to war and the at last minuet that didn't happen, guess that makes me a warmongering sith or something Edit: ahoy! grammatical errors!
  20. Blast our spontaneous growth! With all our unnecessary armaments I expected this stats war to turn into a real war.
  21. you know what else is only words, the OP. I too find the reaction completely unreasonable.
  22. I highly approve of this topic title, and congratulations to Asgaard on their admission to SPAM. May you be blessed with the glory of spam and live a long spamful life, to this we pray to the mods, maroon team gods. If benard55 was still around i would have left the blessing up to him, but the maroon collage of cardinals is lazy and has not picked a new pope.
  23. remember, friends don't let friends e-lawyer out of treaties, clearly 6 defined articles of elegantly written text are needed just in case one of us does try to weasel our way out. Its a known fact you cant have friends unless you've got the legal documents to prove it
