1. o/ 13 o/ FEAR Best of wishes to the both of you. On a side note, your flag appears to be a Ninja star stuck into a pair of testicles. I shall never be able to see anything other then that. GK
2. Welcome to the White Team! o7 Looking good R3n. GK
3. Thank you for taking mine and the words of most others to heart - by ending this before you walked all your nations down a dark alley. Next time maybe show a little more restraint and understanding before allowing your nations to become targets? GK
4.
Ranging from harrassing and threatening messages to recruitment messages to join their alliance. Want to point that out we have no clue whats going on they are not giving us much info.It could be bad its one thing to say please join us (Works for you can't do that. So don't let it happen again) To join now or i am going to ZI you.
I agree there is a difference. But you also didn't ask me the details of the situation with TOOL. A situation that evolved into a ERA member actually trying to bribe or ask what it would take to seduce a TOOL member over. And then proceeding to call him into a private IRC room to "talk" more which resulted in some what I would consider "intimidation".
Of course the difference is when the ERA member recruited other ppl he got kickd out for it (among other infractions), CCCP is defending its members actions.
Lies. You defended carlos/ForeignAffairs very adamantly. You apologised for his error, and did not kick him out. You simply asked him not to recruit "for a while". I dont know what happened after that event but you definitely did not kick him out for it. Not at the time. And it would seem the "other infractions" were the cause. You defended his actions with an excuse of a newbie making a mistake. I would implore you to end this war, offer an apology to CCCP for escalating this beyond what should of just been a heads-up to CCCP that they had a member recruiting from aligned Nations; before all your members all suffer for YOUR incompetence. GK
5.
It has come to our attention that the nations of the "CCCP" AA have sent numberous messages to my members, ranging from harrassing and threatening messages to recruitment messages to join their alliance. Equal Rights Alliance does not tolerate such behavior and as such declares war upon CCCP It should be noted as well that I have spoken with NV as 1 of CCCP's members claims protection from them and according to NV said protection does not exist. Good Luck to both sides Signed for Equal Rights Alliance, -Andover, President
I am not very often annoyed enough to post on OWF. But... You are an idiot! From one of the posts below, ERA have posted Recruitment messages not just to TOOL members and Applicants but to other alliances as well. How many of those alliances declared War on ERA for it? Zero. I imagine most approached you like TOOL did, diplomatically to explain to you the error in your ways. Demand a cease and desist until you and your members were "trained" in how to find unaligned nations to recruit. We did not run around to check your protection status, treaty partners and simply declare war. You aren't exactly treating others how you have been treated and I expect you to get a proper smack the next time you step out of line, even slightly, towards someone else. GK
6.
If I were to have referenced the war, I would've mentioned it outright. I wasn't intentionally referencing the current wars, as most of those treaties have been MD/oA/P's that have been ignored. I was just talking about the PIAT in itself. Sorry to seem like I'm causing drama in this thread, I honestly wasn't trying to.
Nah - no drama. Mia just over explains stuff because she doesnt want to come back a day later to reply. For TOOL anyway, we try and treat PIATs to the best of our ability as a stepping stone situation. The sentiments involved are to formalise and encourage more intense relations. In CN's culture - things tend to remain at a friendly plateau without a treaty. So PIATs serve a good purpose to see who is capable and compatible on a more intense and higher interaction level. Less about the ODP aspect and more about the sentiments involved in making as friendship public and put into word. Its hard to go from stranger -> associate -> acquaintance -> friend without acknowledging the steps being taken by both parties. In trust, in responsibility and also in simply finding out how the other works by increased Intelligence sharing and communication. Which is something we try and highlight by using a PIAT. and either it works and MD relations come from an increase in friendship and trust or it slips back to friendly without the formalities. I think you are putting too much pressure on PIATs to be militarily focused - when to TOOL they represent an initial step to eventually becoming a relation that you would be willing to back with the health of your soldiers. GK
7. Bets of luck, tR! I do mean that. Relations between us started through a merger of yours, and for the most part the entities that TOOL knew are no longer calling tR home. Relations just werent on par with what we seek in our treaties.
That would go some way to explaining his popularity with in TOOL.
Never thought about this. I better not be popular because I am seen as the way to the pot of gold. Nah, it cant be, no way. GK
8. For me there is one reason that I would class as the most "valid" CB. In that, the Declaration of War on someone is based on their aggressive actions prompting the need to take escalated measures. A seasoned member of Alliance X attacks or inflicts damage to (Spy, Forcing Trade Cancellations, etc..) a member of my alliance without being antagonised or otherwise reasoned for doing so. Alliance X then harbours this member, by not condemning his actions and helping to prolong the issue by (a) Not agreeing to Peace out the Wars, (b) Not offering Reparations for Reasonable Damage and/or (c) Providing support to the attacking member. Should this line occur, then the Alliance is taking on the actions of the member as their own and in turn aggressively antagonising an escalation to Alliance War rather than Individual War. And grounds to attack would be valid, so long as due process was carried out by my Alliance to attempt to hit the resolutions. In my opinion, outside of the above, most other circumstances have grey areas and holes in knowledge that could spread doubt, or give room for multiple perspectives on the events. And thus, needs to be taken on a case by case basis. GK
9.
Right, except back then there weren't any alliances so creating a new one was necessary and helpful, now there's a ridiculous amount. Way too many. Therein lies the difference.
No - not at all. You outlined a difference in the circumstance. Not a differing in reasoning. The sole reason majority of alliances start is because 1 or a few people think they can create something better or more suited to them then the alliance they reside in. That will never change and due to THAT fact, the number of alliances will likely only increase rather then decrease over time. It started "back then" and it continues here. GK
10.
I doubt they even considered that. People don't need any reason to start an alliance anymore besides, "HEY I WANNA BE THE LEADER OR MY OWN ALLIANCE!"
What do you mean anymore? What was the big reason that alliances used to be created for? Bar perhaps the off-site based alliances or alliances migrating from other games - dont pretend there are many alliances doing it for much bigger and noble reasons other then "I think I can do this on my own." Unity - will be in touch about that member you are carrying; but otherwise welcome to the fold. GK
11.
You've grown only a million strength since last December. You were about our size then, and you didn't have the luxury of being rolled. Yeah, this will definitely change my thoughts about the RIA being a sub par and inactive alliance. Congratulations on continuing to exist. You don't seem to do much else. Might I suggest you consider a merger with CSN?
Heh, dont stress over size too much. Its also about how you use it. Congrats on the new Gov, RIA. And cctmsp13 more time to practice some goaltending. Enjoy retirement. GK
12. This is indeed a sad day for me and TOOL. I wish it was another way, but alas... I wish Argent the best, and I will do my best to keep and improve my communication directly with Argent going forward. Would hate to lose all connection after so long. Regards, GK
13. Myself and TOOL offer our deepest and most sincere condolences. If there is anything we can do in this dark time, let us know. This is beyond tragic, and wish all the best to all those who knew Hans Zonmyrod; his friends, his family and his alliance. Regards, GK
14. Shinra are both protected and supported by TOOL in as many degrees that TOOL can offer. Joining Shinra would be joining a bigger and stronger family. Do the right thing. o/ Shinra
15.
You, sir, have lost your mind.
It certainly would be an interesting experience. GK
16. Hey R3n, just to reiterate what others have also said in this thread. I know you may not feel that it is there, but TOOL will do whatever it can to lend help wherever needed. There is a lot of support for Paragon and its future success here and we would love the chance to help in anyway. Just let me know. Best of luck, GK
17. Some familiar names in there... Rab/Edagimo - best of luck! Give us a shout once you have settled feet. Regards, GK
18. Up the Ra... I mean... RIA. o/ RIA!
19. Here is to a swift rise and many successes to The Union of Empires! May this system be the spring board for many small alliances. All the best! GK
20. This pleases me so much, I wanted to share a few words. LoSS, I am goignt o go against the grain on this one, I am not going to cite the war as being the influence on this friendship. While it may have been the larger catalyst linking us up - I do not believe war alone is strong enough to create a bond worthy of friendship let alone a formal treaty. LoSS has shown in the last few months to be of good salt. And even when this treaty was pressured, they stood by the sprouting friendship with TOOL when it would of been easy to cede with nothing lost to themselves - but instead we have seen LoSS make a serious gesture towards TOOL. And where TOOL had already fallen for LoSS; this gesture has won my own personal and much more critical respect and adoration. My door is always open to LoSS. GK
21. Its an honour to be on the field with friends like these. GK
22. Hey guys... Can we keep the "friendly" banter out of this thread. At least when it concerns other rivalries. I appreciate our friends doing so in our honour, but its not needed. =) Its a pleasure to be on the field with Sparta again. And a joy to be linking up some old friends in OMFG and new friends in Legion. o/ TOOL
