1.
The risks were lower back in the day, and encouraged action. Nowadays, every losing war only furthers the stats gap between the top alliances and everyone else, and exponentially increasing extortion doesn't help the situation in the slightest. Nobody wants to put even more distance between themselves and say Umbrella or TOP, because that just increases the effort and resources required for a victory on the next attempt. Every failure increases the difficulty of the next attempt by increasing margins. It's not the size of people's balls that have shrunk; The cost-benefit equation has altered to make it idiotic to make the moves that made rational sense to make back in the day, when we didn't have alliances of 100k average NS and a guarantee that you're going to be extorted for everything you have the next time you lose a war.
This is surprisingly cogent. But even if it is tougher, it's still possible to do things. It takes a good deal of resources to beat down a TOP, but not nearly so many to smoke a GDA or an NADC for example. And aggressive raiding can actually gain you quite a bit of resources over the long term. I don't expect the big alliances to charge headfirst at each other... but I do expect to see the incompetent alliances attacked for the pleasure and amusement of the competent. This can burn PR, but it also attracts active members who enjoy some kind of action in between the epic and monumental clashes. It is possible to play this game. It is possible to do things outside of epic and monumental wars, to create interest, both within one's alliance and in the community at large over what ACTIONS will be taken next.
 2.
The only one who threw my alliance under the bus was you, maggot. It's good to know you got your punishment. If you want another whooping I'd invite you to give it your best. Just don't bore us with your inane attention whoring. It might have rallied people like Myth and Xoin, but you know as good as me that that is a loss on its own. It's funny to see you acting all tough now when the thing you excelled in the most was dodging war. But I guess it's alright now if your alliance takes a lot of damage, since you are in Sparta now. I wonder how the general membership of Sparta feels if they understand they are nothing more than a stick that you will use to try and smack us around with. Bring it you little !@#$%*.
Sparta will be ok. The invincible peacemode army does not fall easily even to a very determined foe!
 3.
Disclaimer: I've done this since a lot of people say I've essentially micromanaged my thread and introducing concepts on page 23 or whatever is a bad idea because people won't read it. 1. I assert the Mushroom Kingdom spies, slanders, and does anything necessary to gain an edge. They are a threat to anyone they may come across in the future, friend or foe. Ask the New Polar Order, who were asked to attack the Order of the Paradox by Archon, leading them into a state of near-perpetual pariah hood. Ardus said I was trying to introduce a good-evil dichotomy, but these guys make it too easy. 2. "Roq is doing this the wrong way." I realize my approach brushes people the wrong way, but I used to be Mr. Milquetoast. It didn't work out. They absolutely loathed that guy and boy were they happy to see him gone and drag his body through the city streets. That's why he continues to be gone. He wasn't hard enough. 3. Mushroom Kingdom is not invincible. On its own, it only has 21 or so nations above 80k NS. The only reason people remain tied to them is fear, attachment based on chit chat, and plain blindness. 4. You are all will to power and nothing besides. The worm curls up to avoid getting stepped on again, but there is no need to be worms, when you are a potent threat when you want to be.
The strong may do with the weak what they will. It is the natural order of things. It encourages strength, and that is good for the world. I would contend that MK has not done *enough* to the world, rather than too much. The world needs a monster at the top to be slain. I for one hope that MK accepts the cycle that is CN and gives into fulfilling the role they have come to have, and if they slip, accepting the defeat and the lot of the defeated tyrant in this world. Vae Victus.
 4.
It's quite funny how some of you are trying to claim there is a CB against Sparta here, and completely diverting people away from the obvious spying by MK that the thread is actually about.
UPN has a great CB on MK as well, they should attack immediately to protest the violation of their sovereignty. If they had any balls, they already would have. Then again, if they had any balls, I doubt bros would have spied on them in the first place. They are known punks.
 5.
Yes, I have free reign. You see, I've already pointed out how negatively the character assassination of me has affected them. You realize they are aware everything I do have.
And yet I hear that MK doesn't want to roll Sparta, apparently Archon posted something ot that effect (I can't be bothered to keep up with this !@#$ fulltime). So either you have nothing that anyone would care about and MK just doesn't care enough to roll Sparta despite them empowering you to attempt some kind of blackmail, or.. well it doesn't look like you have anything. Whatever you do have is going to lose its impact the longer people think you have nothing and are just being a blowhard.
 6.
Thing is, now I have access to all the evidence I could want. Like I said, before, bring it. I wasn't afraid of MK before and I'm not now. You idiot.
Don't you ever think about more than just yourself? Do you have the support of the entire Spartan government in executing this attempt at blackmail?
 7.
If you think that wasn't intentional and something I told several people who asked me for it before, then ha. Like I said, keep goading me. It's usually a bad idea. 1337 guy knows what I have. Archon knows what I have. At the end of the day, they shouldn't play with fire.
You know in the real world blackmail is a crime. If MK chooses to apply that reasoning here Sparta just may get plowed unless they disown you. I think you are the one who shouldn't play with fire.
 8.
I didn't hype. You did. If you want the nuke, then keep asking for it. Those who are aware know the potential ramifications. I have been threatened with retaliation in turn, but they know what exists. AirMe: Archon himself said it on the radio.
If you think what you posted was even interesting enough to justify posting then you don't have a nuke.
 9. Nagasaki is still a bustling port city. Whew.
 10. Let me give you a resounding llama yawn
 11. You know, a whole lot of people have posted regarding my past actions, or asked me to spill juicy dirt for the gawkers... But this isn't about me. It's about the political lifeblood of CN. And it isn't about the past. It's about the future. The vast majority of political leaders do not take risks, lest they endanger their positions, which they value so highly. Without risk there is no action. Without action there is no interest. Without interest there is no world. Most leaders do not trust in their own abilities enough to take risks to keep things interesting. This is an unacceptable state of affairs. Anyone who is reading this can take steps towards rectifying it. I wish you luck.
 12. There is none. And you people are hanging on Roquentin's every word like bros spying on UPN is any big thang. Ya'lld crap your pants full of more brown than GATO if you knew what all we did back in the day. The party's over folks. The remaining alliance leaders are either too inactive or too timid or care too much about the "social status" they derive as leaders of "influential alliances" to risk what they have by rocking the established social order or rocking the boat. As a certain former NEW member put it most eloquently.... "tiny ball and submissive personality". That's what's left. You may now resume your regular "social interaction".
 13. What's next? An Athens-Sparta treaty?
 14. Allow me to offer my condolences to The College of Winterhold.
 15.
I agree @&$#% micros. [s]Come back to RoK[/s]
Hush rok u suck now too.
 16. TTK is inactive crap that won't fight and I am saddened to see Sparta signing with them. Miss u sparta

 18. This announcement is of an appropriate level of quality for this venue!
 19.
You need a few million casualties before we will respect you, we will never farm for you, with your 0 attacking, I really should not even talk to you. But even CN needs boys to clean the warriors weapons. I could allow you to be my squire, and show you how to wage war. "Those who beat their swords into plowshares will soon till the soil for those who have not."?
I love you man and you know that but this sounds really really gay. Just saying.

 22.
Big talk for a guy who could have attacked our top dog, but its expected from a nation that has just over .5m casualties and is 1500 days old. Looks like you spend alot of time on the sidelines. What position do u play? LEFT OUT
Ahahahahahahahaha. Mongols are scrappy fighters and old friends. They asked to help us out last war without a treaty on a front where they and we were very much outnumbered. They are good and brave people and I wish them the best of luck in this encounter.
