An Upstarts Guide

you described that FOK could never function properly We break your second, third, fourth and fifth commandment.
  3.
Enjoy the sheep guys! o/ FOK!
Try to bandwagon your $@! in here PC, we can finaly fight an alliance without you
  4. If you still need someone, ask around at TOP. I can't think of someone who speaks Dutch on your side of the web, but Lord of Port in the NPO is also Dutch. Or you could ask NSO they delivered a well translated surrender message in dutch.
  5.
Just curious, how many nukes were exchanged in this war?
We engaged 12 nations with 9 nuclear armed nations, the window of opportunity for nuking was approximatly 3 days. So it must have been around 60 possible nukes fired. This is of course a little bit high as some FOK nations were nuked by opponents from other alliances and people like me who actually forget to nuke an opponent. So 50 nukes fired in this conflict sounds about right.
  6.
what does my NS have to do with anything
Under normal circumstances how much NS you lose says if your winning or losing.
I am just offering some strategic war advice that has apparently been over looked by some FOKKERS.
Mistakes happen, I at first glance overlooked the fact that one of my former opponents had a FSS.
It's all good, now they know.
Thank you.
I got them a time or 2 they got me a time or 2. Don't try to front like your guys have unleashed the fury of the underworld or something.
You're still losing more then they are.
Jumping on me when I had 2 other wars going on is a smart move...
I also think Timmehhh made a true work of art with the target assignments on MCXA and Echelon.
I would do it too. But, I generally use my spy attempts a little more carefully. So, here's the deal. I will continue to stay below 5 nukes and will share them with FOK each day it is my turn. It's a war
Good luck, we'll see you at ZI.
  7. Yeah, the OWF is much more fun. Especially for calling out your opponents on a stupid mistake, after losing half your NS yourself.
  8.
What does iFOK has to do with anything?
Not everything is about you guys To the OP, you could better PM it to the person who is spying
  9. Already heard about this one, chose No and A Who was politician B?
  10.
TOP has helped FOK out in the past, I'm surprised you guys would be so eager to try making sure they get rolled real hard in this. Why even chain back in?
We like war
  11.
Oho, really? Well, my friend, given that I know a little about how this war is fought - as you, apparently, don't - I'd say we're more than holding our own against overwhelming odds. So you can take your flame, light your pyre, and lie in it.
I know everything I'm going to say will sound like propaganda, but I have to speak my mind about MCXA's warstrategy. When I read the topic which was going about the few surrenders which were done. Immediately MCXA came to mind as an alliance who apparently just doesn't want to surrender, purely because its surrendering. Our blitz on you guys was one of the most efficient ones I have ever seen and every nation worth attacking, except two or three in peace mode, got a guaranteed anarchy on the next day. It was then already clear you would lose 400K NS a day while you would be able to barely put a dent in FOK. I don't know what you guys are planning on doing when this round of wars is finished, because while I'm confident some nations will be able to slip in peace mode. Peace mode will not really be a relief for your situation as most FOK nations will also be out of Nuke anarchy at the earliest moment your nations will be able to leave peacemode. I expected you guys to surrender in three days and I'm still really wondering why you keep this fight up?
  12. I didn't fight GGA, but maybe they learned from their mistakes in Karma and rewrote all their warguides and started keeping warchests.
  13.
Similar; I could have though I didn't care enough and had/have no reason to. I stopped playing back in spring/summer of 2007 and when I returned in spring 2009 I found out I was still masked as a diplomat on some forums. Needless to say I laughed, hard.
I actually just realize that the above story can be evened out with my honesty. When FOK left Q, all masks of FOK members where deleted, but somebody messed up and I kept my leadership mask. I was so honest to tell them when I noticed it.
  14. The option I would choose isn't available. I'll explain: Over the years I've gathered quite a lot of diplomatic masks at various alliances around the cyberverse. So when leaving FOK for a temporary stint in STA, it never occurred to me to ask everywhere to de-mask me. After a month or so I became interested in an old thread I and some other FOKkers discussed months prior in the Gremlins embassy. So I logged in there and checked the thread. It wasn't really shocking, but it could have if FOK posted an important notification to their allies in there.
  15.
Evidently if you don't have a strong nation you aren't allowed to play CN or have anything you say IC-wise matter. Boy is my face red.
They should have nothing to say, it would have stopped Nitenderek from ever posting

    CN facts
ok so I goofed on #2 but by stalemate they only grow by getting members most of the time there charts just go up down up down. the new members grow to a point but that's about it
How do you expect an alliance gets bigger then? There are two ways, getting new members or your current members should grow. That's how the game works.

    CN facts

I don't know where you got your facts from, or what they are meant to say. And worse they contain quite some errors.
  18. I hope your two WRC's will serve you well.
  19.
We're doing fine just fine, I was referring to some of the honorable FOK members I met on the battlefield earlier that took quite a bit of damage. (as well as give damage out of course )
Ah, you're talking about that. Yes, the guy that hit Penguin and Moridin and got hit by you and doppelganger had quite some damage. That however was when Polar wasn't fighting on our side. You may vaguely remember how that feels, as it was so long ago.
  20.
I'm sure others in your alliance would disagree.
??? I don't know who is under a lot of stress at the moment?
  21.
FOK Molon Labe If you want their weapons, then try to take them. Somehow I doubt Molon Labe is going to give them up easy.
I don't expect they will surrender before MCXA, it will at least be an incredible let down if they do.
  22.
I'm well aware of that. Military command may have some challenges on their hands, but on a member level the tactics used have seriously been reduced. I also think that instant nuclear anarchy takes away from the ability to win a war through coordination and better waging of war. Nukes for me are the great equalizer.
When do you win a war in contemporary CN? Once upon a time putting your opponent in anarchy was what mattered, after the UJW putting a nation at as few infra as possible mattered. With the advancement of warchests, even ZI doesn't matter at all. It isn't possible to kill the money reserves of a prepared nation in 8 days, so on an individual level you can never win of your opponent in a way that will harm their ability to wage war. Nukes don't matter at all except the feeling of accomplishment you may get from anarchying an opponent in a conventional way.
  23. Why? So you can see your ally being shot to hell and can easily say: "I don't have to defend him, our treaty is Non-chaining." No, every treaty should be chaining. If your MDP ally is being destroyed you should defend him.
  24. We are not going paperless. There is one significant alliance with only 1 treaty and guess what, they used that treaty to enter the fray. An aspect from the paperless world we're going to see is the fact that the text in a treaty is going to become less important, while intention will rise to prominence. It was always annoying enough treaties were supposed to be written by would-be or actual lawyers.
