How can the number of players be declining? I haven't seen any evidence of that. Is there some statistics somewhere I haven't seen?

Wasn't Ragnarok once a part of the hegemony? and \m/? Why would ragnarok feel any animosity towards ex hegemony if their own allies, and they themselves are ex heg? I think you'd better rethink this.

I'm going to have to agree with Canik here. This last sentence "and they need to leave the game" just doesn't flow with the rest of the conversation. Not only does it not sound like something VanHoo would say, but it just simply looks out of place. It totally comes out of left field. That Warbud was initially pretending to be interested in who could have edited his logs, leads me to believe that Warbud might have believed that the cat was already out of the bag that the logs were faked and so he needed to search for somebody to blame. But then, when he realized VH had no solid proof yet that the logs were faked, he backpedaled and started claiming the logs were authentic. The whole thing just smells fishy.

Karma didn't "usher in" any new group into power. It simply destroyed the old one. Whatever forms over the next few years will form from it's own will, not because of the will of Karma.

What's with this bizarre obsession over finding somebody to label the "new hegemony?" Did the old old hegemony reign supreme for so long that people forgot what this game was like back when there was no hegemony?

I always thought TOP and the Viridian Entente were pretty cool people, despite always winding up on the opposite side of almost every major war back in the league/initiative days. I liked GOONs for a long time despite them hating us.
