Let's analyze this blog entry for a second; the title excerpt "pubbie tears" to start with. Pubbie appears to be a derogatory term used to describe anyone different, in this particular case different from GOONS (since the GOONS leader started the thread). Tears suggests a symptom of grief, anguish, frustration, anger, or some other emotional experience. Put the two together and you have a description of an entity perceived as different by GOONS upon which GOONS acted to incite emotional grief, anguish, frustration, anger, etc. So really I see a title that says, 'hey, look at how we can influence those that we deem are different than ourselves'.

Look at the evidence that GOONS has provided as proof of their influence, see the tears, the evidence of emotional grief, anguish, frustration, anger, etc that they've provided; what is this message?

The message is it's funny when people get emotional over pixels.

I just see a bunch of understandable responses from new nations or people who don't have the luxury to log on every day, etc. What's hilarious is that if GOONS really really didn't care about their own infra or really just loved war so much, they wouldn't bother with making any restrictions or treaties and if any group bothered to attack them they would thank them for the fun, re-roll and start over again.

What I do like about this blog is that it shows there are feisty nations out there besides just the people I know.

I'm not sure whether I'm glad my response to the former MoDef of UPN isn't available or not. It required two messages to get the entirety of my nerdrage fully expressed, whereas I vowed jihad, covert alliances, and eternal guerrilla warfare on the raider that dared declare upon my nation unless I received my due reparations. In fact, the first war had already been concluded and I sneak-attacked the raider some days later after I had received a 3 million gift and his attacking slots were full.

These were so-so, not as funny as the last.
