OOC: This is in relation to this thread - http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=96853

Just 24 hours had passed since the terrorist attack on the Greater Nordic Empire. The blood of the victims were crying for revenge, and the people of Dalmatia were crying for revenge. As Autarch of the Nation, Michael Visari would be the executor of that revenge. He planned to address the nation before a special session of the Thorvald Klaasson Stettner. For this speech, he did away with his usual attire, and put on his military uniform to signify his position as Supreme Commander and Leader of the Greater Nordic State.

**Before the Thorvald Klaasson Stettner**

Sons and daughters of Dalmatia,

Yesterday, this nation was the victim of a despicable terrorist attack. The end result was the death of over two hundred crewmen. Fine men and women who were only trying to feed their families. After our own investigations and from the obvious evidence presented by the terrorist, we have learned that the perpetrator of the attack was the Greater Korean Federation. The Korean regime has a history of reckless aggression against other nations. It has a deep hatred of anyone who opposes it's life style, and it has aided, trained and harbored terrorists.

The Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia did nothing to deserve or invite this threat. But we will do everything to defeat it. Instead of drifting along toward tragedy, we will set a course toward safety. Before another day of horror can come, before it is too late to act, this danger will be removed. The Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia has the sovereign authority to use force in assuring its own national security. That duty falls to me, as Supreme Commander and Autarch of the Greater Nordic People, by the oath I have sworn, by the oath I will keep.

As the Autarch and Supreme Commander of this nation, I must say this. All the decades of deceit, cruelty, and warmongering have now reached an end. The government of the Greater Korean Federation must leave and surrender to the Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia within 72 hours. Their refusal to do so will result in military conflict, commenced at a time of our choosing. For their own safety, all foreign nationals - including journalists and inspectors - should leave Greater Korea immediately.

Many Koreans can hear me tonight in a translated radio broadcast, and I have a message for them. If we must begin a military campaign, it will be directed against the lawless men who rule your country and not against you. As our military takes away their power, we will deliver the food and medicine you need.

To the leadership of the Greater Korean Federation, your nation's destiny is in your hands. I hope you will make the right decision.

To the people of this nation, I will make sure that justice is served. Valhalla wills it!

Heil!

The Xinyan Republic shall neither support nor condemn this move. We shall watch these events closely.

Classified

In response to the possibility of a war in Xinyan's vicinity, the DEFCON level was lowered to 2. Four convoys of S-300 SAM systems were moved to the East to intercept any aircraft or missiles that may pass over the border into the Republic. In addition, three squads of Sukhoi Su-30s were directed to make regular strafing patrols over the border regions, and Direction Central was contacted to prepare their personnel in case they were needed.

As always with disputes amongst our allies China will allow freedom of movement but not Live fire through or inside our territories. Cam Ranh Bah which is an international base as opposed to a national base which the Nords have access to will be allowed access under the terms of that agreement, we will not allow any other access within our territory. We also share Guam under an agreement with Greater Pacifica, should our assets be harmed in Guam while flying a Chinese flag it will be most unfortunate and unforgivable, we hope for a peaceful resolution.

Marscurian Siberia, itself the recent recipient of a terrorist nuclear attack, can sympathize with Dalmatia in the thirst for revenge. However, the greater man is not the one who rushes fool-hardily into vengeance, but the one who can return from the experience humbled and wiser. That being said, Marscurian Siberia will do nothing to challenge or block this military campaign. We only wish that the spilling of innocent Dalmatian blood will not be met with the spilling of innocent Korean blood.

Selenarctos is highly suspicious of the authenticity of the man's claims to represent Korea. For a nation with a history of saying exactly what it intends to do directly, but especially for a nation that so recently suffered a nuclear holocaust, declarations of "holy war" through a single man committing an act of terrorism seem unlikely. Until this situation is resolved peacefully, Selenarctan waters shall remain closed to Greater Dalmatian military vessels.

OOC: you all know there is an OOC reason for this.

OOC: There's an OOC reason for everything that goes on in CNRP. However, Sargun RPed a legitimate False Flag operation, so we are all forced to believe that there is a good IC reason for war.

The Republic finds itself in agreement with Selenarctos. Perhaps the incident should be investigated further before jumping to conclusions.

If the attack on Dalmatian ship had indeed been done by an agent of the government of Greater Korean Federation, it would be a state sponsored terrorist attack that would merit the kind of response Dalmatia is preparing to unleash. However there seems to be no logic in Dalmatian assertions that this is an act of state sponsored terrorism based on the words of one man, dead along with the object of the crime, taking along with him any evidences of complicity. As Selenarctos asserted, it seems extremely unlikely that a nation weakened by nuclear attacks would conduct any such attack upon a nation so far away with which it had barely any animosity.

Greater Korean Federation holds a Non Aggression Pact with Cochin and Dalmatia is Cochin's neighbor, so we implore upon the nations to find out the truth behind this attack rather than launch an aggressive war for no reason. This could very well be a false flag operation.

Pending this, the Kingdom of Cochin closes its air, land and maritime spaces to military assets of both Greater Korean Federation and Greater Dalmatia.

*Public Announcement*

So basically, Korea is to take responsibility for self-professed Koreans when there is no evidence besides some proclaimation? If we were attacked by someone belieivng himself to be of Nordland, then perhaps Greater nordland should take responsibility.

We can surely say this: We shall never attack the closest ally of the UFE, and this false accusation is simply absurd. We request Nordland to provide more concrete evidence before going about declaring war.

As a side note, a Korean never says Motherland. The correct word would be "Forefatherland" of "Homeland".

OOC: Oh really now, doing this to a person who is in low activity is mean. Has standards fallen this low?

The Greater Nordic Empire has presented no evidence of alleged involvement by Greater Korean Federation in this disaster. The citizenship of Po Ta To, "The Man With the Unfortunate Name", isnÂ’t synonymous with Greater Korean Federation culpability. Po Ta To, a self-described mercenary, is a free agent whose actions do not reflect on his home country. Greater DalmatiaÂ’s efforts are better directed towards identifying those responsible than issuing questionable ultimatums. Procinctia condemns this ultimatum until Dalmatian authorities verify KoreaÂ’s participation in this occurrence.

Official Response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

[i]The perpetrators of the terrorist act left a video, which is sufficient enough evidence. In addition, no simple terrorist would have been able to get the necessary equipment for the attack unless it was government funded. While we are currently scavenging the area for more evidence, we still consider the video to be of the highest form of evidence available.

That a vessel registered to Dalmatia was attacked, we do not doubt you on, however a single video purported to originate from that vessel incriminating Korea. Lets assume the video is genuine and did originate from aboard the Nordic Global Oil Freighter in question, however:

The only video of Mr. Pa Ta To shows a single man, obviously of some training, infront of a number camera. In the background are several bodies, cause of death: multiple bullet wounds. Mr. Pa Ta To then proceeds to shoot the captain of the vessel, adjusts a camera to broadcast a message in which he claims to represent Korea. In his statement, however, Mr. Pa Ta To declares war on not only Dalmatia but also the United Federation of the East, one of the very few allies Korea has accumulated in it's short existence. In finale, Mr. Pa Ta To beheads a man of chinese descent and detonates the ship, himself with it.

Unless the Dalmatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is deliberately concealing additional evidence, the escapades of Mr. Pa Ta To are not exceptional nor would they require the support of a government. There is no significant expenditure of equipment: a cheap gun, sword and video camera with broadcast capabilities could be bought on the streets of Manila for less than a couple hundred coins. Explosives and a remote detonator are a little harder to obtain, but far from impossible as countless terrorist groups demonstrate every year.

We do not eliminate the possibility that Korea may have been behind the attack, but this sole video is not sufficient evidence to incriminate Korea and, as previously stated, given the attack nuclear attack upon Korea we find it unlikely they would engage in a war with a nation they have shown minimal animosity towards.

Finally, Dalmatia's response to this situation is entirely out of proportion. If Korea is behind the attack, then by all means they should face consequences. Dissolution of the government of Korea and total surrender to Dalmatia, a county not even located in the same region, is not appropriate. We urge both parties to attempt to resolve this situation peacefully, with out resorting to force of arms once again. Should Dalmatia proceed however, it is the official opinion of Selenarctos that Dalmatia gobbling up land in East Asia on such flaky charges is not acceptable.

"Hmm. I do not think that they would gobble up the land. If they did, they would be overstretched. What is likely to happen is that the region becomes a Protectorate instead. Otherwise it'd be an issue, not an asset, for Dalmatia to hold that territory. Although I would prefer if it were up to me for no war to take place, considering the two nation's history and their foreign policies it is rather inevitable for this to happen, if not now, later. I hope that the Korean folk are able to survive this with as little damage as possible, regardless of the Government."

The Kingdom of Cochin strongly recommends Greater Dalmatia to seek wiser counsels in the form of other regional powers of East Asia like United Federation of the East and Rebel Army in this matter and seek a neutral investigation rather than embark on a foolhardy military expedition on the most flimsiest of evidences. The world has already seen the perils of excessive and unjustified retaliations in the Nodic nuclear attacks upon Monaco. We hope Greater Dalmatia proves itself to be more responsible than that.

Once again, a descendent of the Visari Line threatens another nation without sufficiant reason, once again the world stands by and applauds (with noted exceptions). The Hansa condemns war without Just Cause, the which these pseudo-nords lack. We ask that all peaceloving nations join us in an official declaration of Non Support for this terrible affront to diplomacy.

" 'Once Again' name the other time that Michael Visari has done this. Unless you are blaming someone for someone else's actions I suggest you back up what you are saying with proof against this single individual. As far as I know the only two wars that have happened under Michael Visari's leadership were fulfilling his mutual defense pact with the Germans against terrorist rebels and fulfilling their alliance with the then United States of China when a nation sent material support to a nation who aggressively attacked us.

In regards to the land grab situation, the UFE as said earlier remains neutral in a conflict between allies, but we do not foresee a scenario where any non-Asian country establishes a colony or protectorate in East Asia. It simply will not happen."
