Bilrow
It's been 15 days+ since November 14, 2009 when Athens attacked the Knights of Ni!. So far the only reps paid has been: offer accept money tech 143815 240174 3000000 0 215032 162216 3000000 0 How long does it take to pay up for your mistake? Surely you don't think 6 million is enough to cover the damage? 24 Days And Still No Reps From Athens *Updated daily till Reps Start being Paid. ** Updated in Op. kriekfreak
It could be that KoN haven't calculated the damages yet? There are quite euhm yeah.. inactive you know?
Vilien
Knights of Ni! is a particularly inactive alliance. I can guarantee you that target lists have not been properly made or sent to Athens, and moreover, that Athens has been straightforward and sincere about wanting to repay these damages. I understand the need to paint your enemies as villains, but this is a pretty transparent attempt at that and nothing more.
Desperado
Athens' banks aren't nearly as efficient as the NPO's. Edited December 1, 2009 by Desperado
Bilrow
Maybe Athens will challenge TOP in regard to their speed of doing things (except in offering up tech, TOP does that at a drop of a hat).

Iotupa
While I may not agree with Bilrow's way of bringing it up, I can't say I'm unhappy to see this issue brought to light. Athen's unprovoked attack on the Knights of Ni! was terrible and should not be allowed to go without them finishing paying reps or whatever was agreed upon in the situation. Bob
Really? If this is true, shame on Athens. Why? They would be receiving the tech and then sending it back out, which would be completely pointless. I don't know the repayment amount, but I know Athens is still in negotiations with them over it (or at least three days ago or so was). Nice try Bilrow. The definition of reparations: "In jurisprudence, reparation is replenishment of a previously inflicted loss by the criminal to the victim." Being that the criminal in this case would be Athens, and the victim the Knights of Ni!, it literally makes no sense for them to pass off the criminal status to the NPO. The NPO had nothing to do with this war. Basically, Athens is shirking their responsibility and will feel zero hardship for their unprovoked war upon another alliance. But how does it not make sense? Athens is feeling hardship because they are going to be losing out on the tech they would be receiving from NPO because of their actions. They are going to get that tech either way.
Iotupa
Justice:A -> B -> C Injustice: A -> C In this situation, yes, very much so. lol @ definitions being used. But how does it not make sense? Athens is feeling hardship because they are going to be losing out on the tech they would be receiving from NPO because of their actions. They are going to get that tech either way. There is a symbolic nature to reparations that goes far beyond the monetary part. Edited December 1, 2009 by Jonathan Brookbank
King Chill I
Oh hey look some more brilliant propaganda from NPO. You guys competing with GGA's military wonder planning team for the yearly excellence award? At this point I offer my services as the new director of your PR and Marketing department. My salary requirements are 300 tech a cycle and full health and dental. To improve on the current results i plan to fully concentrate on passing my days as the new head of the department by surfing the web, watching movies, drinking beer and generally not saying anything. I predict my efforts will yield a 300% improvement within the first week. (yea i know some of you have heard this before) Edited December 1, 2009 by King Chill I

(yea i know some of you have heard this before) The fact that this was posted by an NPO member has literally NOTHING to do with the situation. I personally am glad it was posted, regardless of whom it was posted by, and hope to see a response from Athens regarding it soon. My true hope is that it will be a response denying the claims, but in today's world, I feel that is unlikely. Far too many people I once had great faith in to do the right thing have begun behaving as the NPO once did pre-Revenge War.
