Other alliances, however, such as Ragnarok, felt it was perfectly acceptable to fight on the Pacifican side during the war of the coalition and then turn around and collect from Pacifica. Said Triumvirate Alfred von Tirpitz "we earned the money we got from stomping Nueva Vida, and we earned this money."

He would also be correct. However, I don't believe that Ragnarok ever collected the total reparations that it was entitled to from NV. My recollection is that we more or less let them off the hook a bit early, as did IRON. As for the Karma War, Ragnarok was in the thick of the fighting for the entire war, save for TPF theater of operations.

Ah, history, so misleading.

The NPO was really more on the NpO side of the BLEU war, although obviously they were on the GGA/Valhalla side of the concurrent Hyperion war. For an alliance 'on our side' they certainly put up a huge rearguard action to save Polaris, for at least a month beforehand.

I like Sir Paul’s writing. Provides a break from the monotony of the forums at times.

Oh, but history’s not about what really happened, it’s about how perception of events can be manipulated to the benefit of various alliances. Whoever cared about reality?

Revisionist history only works to a point. Sure you might be convince new people that something happened the way you said but those who were actually there and saw it happen know different and take the new person aside and tell them the truth eventually. There are those who care for the truth, it is far more entertaining than fiction.
