Jason Salovsky
What is a "Great War" to you? Which ones do look at as being "Great Wars"? I'll post links below for the three wars I have seen in question, so you can review them if you weren't around, and then vote your opinion. Simple, right? The Unjust War War of The Coalition (Friends > Infra War) Karma War --- My personal view is this. I actually had a nation for WoTC, got curbstomped in SOLID =/. However I don't view it as a "Great War". Sure, it lasted a month... but as far as I'm concerned it was just the War of The Coalition. I wasn't around for The Unjust War. But it looks to me to be a GW. It lasted a long time, and a lot of big alliances had to disband \m/, Genmay, GOLD, and EoTRS included. It shook things up, changed a lot. I think it should be Great War IV. As far as this war goes, it's a little early to tell, granted but I think with the most alliances ever being involved in a war, almost all sanctioned alliances involved, and only 4 days in and the GRL is at 5.00, from 1.7?! Yes, this is Great War V to me. But those are simply my thoughts, tell me what you all think.
Doitzel
There were three Great Wars. Let's have something new, eh?
Facade
I could have sworn great wars were fought between NPO and LUE...

Moridin
No no and no. The only way to clear up this kind of confusion is to say GWIII was the last of the 'Great Wars'. Once you start saying the Unjust War was a great war or this war is a great war, the title 'GWIV' becomes confusing because everyone has their own little definition. We have perfectly good names for them already, why do we need to take that away and just tack on a new numeral to an old and tired title every time there's a fun war? Illustrious
I agree with the posters above me. 3 Great Wars are enough, just come up with more creative names
Jason Salovsky
YesNo Yes Simple answer... me likey
Sal Paradise
All those wars are great wars. But only the first three great wars were Great. edit: clarity? Edited April 25, 2009 by Sal Paradise
Shodemofi-NPO
No No No There's no need to call every war that involves lots of alliances a great war. It's confusing and unoriginal. The "Great Wars" were a series of conflicts between NPO and LUE. As LUE doesn't exist anymore, there can't be anymore Great Wars.

HeroicDisaster
The sides are more even, like a great war. But like it was said earlier, no LUE no great war. Edited April 25, 2009 by HeroicDisaster
Finch
The Karma War is the biggest war ever fought on Bob. GW3 was first with 5500 warring nations, and on day for of this Karma war there is already 8192 wars. Plus this is the most Alliances that have been in 1 war to my knowledge. However, I still don't think anything after GW3 is a GW. Edit: clarification Edited April 25, 2009 by bobjohnny

Yeah, maybe the other two aren't, but this has to be recognized as a GW.
Vilien
No. No. No. The Great Wars were between LUE and NPO. They're over. Let's have some new names, even if the grudges are still the same.
Magnum T. Gundraw
"Great War" used as a general term for a large global conflict is an acceptable usage. I, however, argue that no war should be referred to specifically as Great War X since the Third Great War.
Finch
The term Great War means a Really big war with 2 big sides. It does not mean A war With NPO and LUE in it. Thus this is infact a Great war.
Drai
UJW was close, I voted no though. No CB war was not a great war. This one is, as the sides are pretty even.
Alter Leader Nabla
strictly speaking, there was no Great War after the end of LUE. Now, since Great Wars are widely regarded as Global Wars denominations, you could say Yes - No - Yes. or No - No - Yes.
Heracles the Great
If this doesn't count as a Great War, I don't know what would....
Chet Ubet
The Unjust War wasn't that long at all but my Great War count stopped at three Edited April 25, 2009 by Andre Fincher
Finch
if everyone is so intent on it not being named Great war, why dont we use my totally original idea on this word I just created. World War[/sarcasm]
Noob Cake
OP obviously haven't heard of GW I, GW II, or GW III. This war has the size for GW IV, but as one poster said, GW should reserved for LUE/NAAC vs NPO
Nintenderek
While UJW, WoTC and Karma War may not be great wars, I do think they should share a name in a similar fashion as the Great Wars, because they have all lead up to the next conflict. They are almost like a CN trilogy. Perhaps calling them the Epic Wars?
