Hymenbreach
An acronym is only a acronym if it forms an existing word: TOP, FAN, etc. When it forms a new word then it is neologism and not an acronymism. Thankyou. Ps: Amen Brick, btw. Edited April 20, 2009 by Hymenbreach

erikz
SSSW18, as in "Hi, I'm Chris Hansen..." I thought it was more like: "Hi, I'm a catholic priest..." But that would be He Said He Was 18...

Silvara
my primary language is portuguese, so I pronounce everything differently from everyone here. Same here, but with Spanish. To me, for example, NATO has always been "nah-toh" the same way GATO is "gah-toh" (Spanish for cat). I guess I'd try to pronounce acronyms in a more English-y way if I ever speak with anyone else from CN, but that's how they sound in my head. Karesh
Iran, like the country. Would that be the American or British pronounciation of Iran?
savethecheerleader
Would that be the American or British pronounciation of Iran? For whatever reason, I pronounce the alliance the American way, and the nation the British way.
Proxian Empire
GATO will always be a Spanish cat. I do not know why people insist otherwise.
