Franz Ferdinand
Breaking News! The Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Lübeck has been assassinated in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, a major city of Lübeck, right now. His wife, Duchess of Comoros was killed in the same attack. Some reports say that the duchess was deliberately shielding her husband from a second shot when she was mortally wounded. One victim was struck in the body, while another took a bullet to the face. Two attempts had been made on the archduke's life earlier in the day. He was in the region visiting the delights of the nation, and yesterday had a procession dedicated to him yesterday through the capital. During the morning, a bomb was thrown at the imperial vehicle, yet the occupants escaped unharmed. In the afternoon, in another district in the town, a Lübeckian student fired the fateful round, killing both the archduke and the duchess. We shall provide updates when they occur. Franz Ferdinand
Rio de Janeiro 6PM: The assassin of the archduke and his wife is a student named Lucio Amado. He is 19, and was born in Florianópolis, the capital of the Santa Catarina State. He studied for some time at Universidade de São Paulo. Amado declared that he had intended for quite a long time to kill a major figure for exposure to his cause. He made his attempt when the car had to slow down when turning into Rua Francisco Otaviano. As the duchess was in the same vehicle, the assassin hesitated, but shortly afterwards he went through and fired two rounds. The archduke was regarded as public enemy number one in certain Dellian quarters due to transition of land which was undertaken many months ago. LeVentNoir
The simple fact that the assassins were allowed three attempts in one day speaks volumes about your security. We do however, note the loss of life.
