What is needed nearly immediately, are prefabricated buildings that are easily assembled to begin moving the government of the City of Manila, the schools, and hospitals back into buildings. They are functioning well enough where they are now, which is why we request that all donations be in the form of prefabricated units that are designed to last. The Kingdom of Axum is committing to providing 20 schools, 10 hospitals, and 10 government complexes. This is a mere drop in the bucket compared to what is needed. Mpesa can ship them into Manila and build them for your government, or you can send something directly from the factories of your own nations. It is our belief that the Filipinos would greatly enjoy the personal touches of the work of many nations. We encourage all those who wish to participate, to do so. Once this starts to happen, we hope that international aid organizations would see fit to assist them in rebuilding their homes. We have 3000 families living under canvas and another 2000 families living in our container homes as temporary measures. Far more are living in shanty towns on the perimeters of our refugee aid centers. We are expanding our container home program as fast as possible and we've begun returning families to buildings and home that escaped without too much damage after the necessary repairs have been completed. Our churches have collected donations, including money, sheltering supplies and food that will be distributed from the HIPACOM-protected Wake Island. In addition, Wake island is being used to transition Filipino refugees who have family in Hawaii to stay with, until full immigration or return is possible. Additionally, Philippine refugees seeking a better life have been authorized for immigration pending a medical, physical fitness and ability exam. We have formed an International Stabilization Force, to spearhead efforts to maintain law and order and prop up surviving local officials and constabulary forces. Nonetheless, our forces are well equipped to form the core of regional security support forces, but additional forces are required to be truly effective. Sending national police force trainers to assist with the training of local constabulary forces would also be useful in redeveloping and strengthening policing efforts, and allow for local units to handle the brunt of peacekeeping, whilst international troops provide support. Primary concerns of the Republican forces are search and rescue operations, as well as evacuating civilians to designated safe zones. Vedran Posted June 9, 2014 Report Share Posted June 9, 2014 Charity drives have been held across the Federation of the Atlantic, mainly organized by humanitarian NGOs with support from the local religious institutions, and certain corporate donors have made matching contributions. The government has also contributed several tonnes of medical and building supplies. The goods mainly consist of prefab shelters and nonperishable food supplies, along with survival booklets, and in the case of church groups, care packages - these have all been loaded onto the Federation-flagged freighter MV Tradewinds, which set out from the Port of Halifax earlier today. In addition, the Federation government has privately contacted the provisional government in Manila offering additional aid. This includes two contingents of army engineers - one to aid in rebuilding and clearing of debris, and the other to aid in radiation cleanup, as well as volunteer medics from all branches of the armed forces, and a search and rescue team to aid in recovering survivors from the less populated areas. All personnel have trained with and will be provided with CBRN protective gear, so there will be no need for the provisional government to worry about their safety while they are in the area of operations, should they accept the Federation's offer. We must however, request that any actual combat forces not be sent as the Philippine military is still standing strong and is capable of providing security at this time. As for the two minor cities struck work will be carried out to rebuild them whilst Manila will stand as a monument to the destructive power of nuclear technology. The survivors of Manila will be assigned to the various untouched villages, towns and cities across the mainland where all of their needs will be meet.
