***Classified Vaule Military Movements***

With the declaration of war several precautions would be taken by the Vaulian government, as customary during war:

-For security reasons, thousands of residents of Sygh-Varthys move into the central metro station in Sygh-Varthys, which doubled as a bomb and nuclear fallout shelter if the need arose.

-The government evoked the ‘Continuity of Gov’t Act’ and decentralized some of its core command functions. The Prime Minister and his family are moved into the government’s military bunker underneath the Sygh-Varthys metro station. The Deputy Prime Minister and his family moved to a government bunker in the capital city, and the Imperator was moved to a military bunker in the Novaya Zemlya Autonomous Community (NZAC) along with the senior commanders of the Organization of the Zodiac.

-Radiation detectors and sensors attached to the Angel’s Tears Nuclear Defense System are brought online for both Zhukovgrad and Sygh-Varthys. The network of detectors is placed at several locations both inside and outside of the two cities.

-All non-state owned television and radio stations are shut down, leaving the state owned BCNA as the sole tv and radio station. Additionally all reports made on BCNA would require the approval of a military officer.

-On the telecommunications front, internet users would notice internet speeds slowing to a crawl as the government sought to reduce connectivity.

Operation Spicy Noodles

Stage 1: Deployments & Confirmations (begins 2 hours before DoW)

The Vaulian military would utilize the national interstate system, and the railway system of the former Vauleyo-Buryatia to deploy the first wave of 30,000 soldiers and their equipment. Using secure and encrypted military communications, the Vaulian military requested permission to cross into UFE territory with soldiers and military equipment.

When the request to deploy was approved, the first Vaulian units crossed the border into UFE territory (OOC: Primorsky Krai). These units included a contingent from the Rocketry Brigade with SAM systems which were to be deployed in support of the UFE’s existing systems in the region.

Once the three task forces had arrived at their positions, they would begin their individual missions. Task Force A would be the launch pad for the first air attacks against the GKF, as well as tasked with defending the island of Sakhalin from attack. Task Force B would have an equally important mission, it would search for (and attempt to destroy) any GKF submarines present in the Sea of Japan. The third task force, C, would be ordered to hold position off the coast of Kamchatka until further orders.

**Air Movements**

Aided by satellite information and target sharing with other coalition members, the squadron of F-35s on board the BNS Ourumov would strike at coastal defense systems and airfields on the eastern coast of the Korean peninsula. The strike force also targeted usable runways at civilian airports These efforts would be augmented by 2 squadrons of F-22s deployed to the UFE (OOC: Primorsky Krai). The additional aircraft would primarily target enemy RADAR systems in the east.

Encrypted Transmission to Selenarctos:

In anticipation of possible nuclear strikes, please locate your forces in Henan and Jiangsu province rather than near Shanghai, we are transmitting clearance for a spread out group of air fields. We appreciate your assistance.
Classified:

Upon confirmation, twelve squadrons of planes launched from Selenarctos to the coordinates provided by the UFE. The distance was short enough and the demand urgent enough that the planes would fly the distance through allied UFE territory, rather than be shipped. Additionally, eighteen A225 Strategic Air Transports were allocated to run logistical support for the air squadrons and six A400Ms outfitted for aerial refueling were deployed to the air bases.

Meanwhile, the former-Ground Force Electronic Warfare Brigade began running the electricity bills into the red, attempting to infiltrate the Korean government's intranet to retrieve any information related to the construction of major military installations since the founding of Greater Korea.

Sapporo Airforce base, Japan

The Parachute Corps in Blue Heaven once again lifted off and crossed Ursalian Airspace along the assigned flight paths and flew west over the Pacific to Sapporo Airforce base, Japan. The flight was one of the longest the RAF had endured for a long time and when they landed, the corps was permitted a ten hour break before being ordered back onto the now refuelled C-130's.

Operation Warlock V.2 - South Korea

The British Armada was now linked up with the allied fleets in the Korean Theatre. The six aircraft carriers began launching waves of aircraft against the Greater Korean Federation's southern military facilities.

Six E-2 Hawkeye 2000's flying in the sea of Japan used their sensors to map the battlefield and enemy forces in the area. Orders were rapidly dispatched to the Royal Air Force to begin an all out air assault against Korea. The AWACs began jamming enemy communications and sensors as the first assault began.

Twelve Squadrons of Widowmakers moved across the Sea of Japan, with four eTyphoons escorting each squadron. eTyphoons would use their onboard jamming equipment supplemented by ECM pods to jam enemy radar and transmit false positions confusing enemy air defenses while transmitting false locations back. The eTyphoons would also pick up on enemy radar signals of the Korean Air Defense network’s SAM launchers and ground based radar. A pair of HARMs were launched at each of these locations. Targeting information was also given to ship based based cruise missile launchers operating out at sea. BGM-109G cruise missiles were launched against these sites as well while the eTyphoons were suppressing enemy missile defenses.

The Widowmakers would fire stand off air to ground munitions against enemy airfields seeking to crater the runways and fill the runways further hampering the ability to scramble air force units. eTyphoons and GB-3's would then use their remaining weapons, air to air missiles to assist in air superiority for the duration of the assault.

Ten squadrons of Bulldogs flew over the battlespace below radar. The stealth fighters would use their AESA to transmit signals of enemy aircraft and ground forces in the battle space. They would use their electro optical infrared sensors to attempt and find enemy stealth fighters. This would be supplemented by OTH and multi-static radars in Japan which were capable of finding the general location of stealth aircraft allowing the Bulldogs to make more precise search. These targets if found would be engaged by IR missiles, the electro optical IR sensors designed specifically to defeat IR countermeasures thus increasing the kill rate.

Operation Nelson - 200nm south of Korea

The Fleets Zumwalt destroyers and Thunderchild frigates began firing their 15MJ Railguns high into the sky to compensate for the distance they were at from the target. The twelve ships thundered over twenty vollys at Korean surface ground defences across the southern coastlines between the Wando, Kindo and Haenam.
(OOC just for reference, the destroyers and frigates are outfitted with one railgun each, the deck gun.)

HMS Ark Royal deployed a flight of launch and forget UAV's to fly over the locations the destroyers and frigates were pounding with a mission to find more targets of military interest such as coastal fortifications and defensive hardpoints. Each UAV had 100 Ib's of high explosive in its body and when their mission was over, they would fly themselves into the closest military target. (12 UAV's)

The harpooning would automatically activate the self-destruction process, causing even more dangerous debris to be generated. For all the technological advances of Sri Lanka, their fleet could not escape being severely damaged during the operation.

It seemed like a good deed was turning things worse.
OOC: As per GM decision, nothing exploded.

IC:
Over the course of mere hours, all known satellites owned by Korea - be they civilian or military - would likely captured, rendering the peninsular nation practically blind.
The damaged satellites would be brought to Pezun One and Two for careful disassembly. The self-destruction of blinded satellites in the early hours of the war forced Sri Lanka's engineers to be careful beyond reason, just to ensure nothing would blow up in their faces.
Meanwhile, the three orbital cleaning craft were brought into action, to remove debris from the planet's orbit above China and the surrounding regions. This would ensure that no problems with communication, visualisation, et cetera would spring up, letting all satellites work at higher efficiency.

[Classified to UFE and its allies]

"We have successfully captured all of Korea's satellites that were known to us. Should you know of other satellites or space assets Korea might have, please transmit all information you have about them to us.
With this, Korea should be effectively blinded. No satellite-communication, no eyes in the sky to look for coalition-ships and troop movements. They'll have to fight without all this technology.
We will of course keep an eye out for satellite launches by Korea and remove those after they reached orbit."

Classified to Coalition Commanders

British Satellites have detected mass movements of men and armour in the southern Sobaek Mountains. We have strong reason to believe it could be a section of a bunker complex. We have also outlined a large coastal defence network along the southern coastline in the areas of Wando, Kindo and Haenam.

RAF and Royal Navy elements will begin destroying these emplacements once initial sorties have been concluded.

We have also seen fit to deploy ten of our Sandown Class Minehunter vessels from Portsmouth to clear possible minefields on the approaches to South Korea.

The Japanese Defense Force has been placed on high alert. Any breach of Japanese territory without prior consent will result in an immediate declaration of war. Japan reaffirms its commitment to not enter the war, however this will be considered broken if Japanese territory is infringed upon.

New Cadia did declare war on the GKF, though our purpose and necessity is rather unclear. We do not wish to hinder the effectiveness of current operations so we will simply offer our assistance, services, and material(s) when and where needed. This includes our arrangement of missile arsenals as well personnel protection on some of the smaller islands within our territory. Good day to you gentlemen.

"O.G. One to base, we're coming in hot."

"Roger O.G., fire when you're in range."

"5 seconds to payload launch...

5...

Fire in the hole!"

The 2nd squadron approached the radar site in a line. The first plane fired its payload and pulled away, using its after burners to leave the scene quickly. The second plane then launched its payload, doing the same. The process repeated for all twelve planes in the squadron. In fact, all across Korea, the four Ground Assault squadrons (2nd, 3rd, 8th, and 9th) were performing their attacks on radar stations and SAM sites. escorting the squadrons were 1st and 7th squadrons, split into two flights of six planes each to patrol the skies around the ground attacks.

Operation Nelson

Using SATINT and the UAV's, Joona determined that the area chosen to land the Royal Marines would need to be purged of almost all of its defences before a landing could be made, the sheer scale and intricacy of the defences forced him to sit down and think carefully about his next course of action. Alot of his aircraft were already in the air over Korea hitting the air defence network, seeking and destroying Korean fighter jets and jamming the enemy RADAR networks. He would have to use the fleets warships.

Poorly hidden artillery batteries, almost invisible bunkers and pillboxes, fortified positions, the works, all needed to be destroyed. The seven battleships of the fleet each sported a multi purpose 61 cell VLS armament, every fifeteen minutes for six hours, the battleships launched Tomahawk cruise missiles towards military targets and defensive hardpoints on Jindo Island. After the final missile left its tube, 158 missiles had been expended. The Destroyers and Frigates turned their attention to Jindo Island aswell, opening up with their railguns to penetrate the tougher, reinforced targets, not letting up their fire until SATINT confirmed its destruction, at which point they would systematically move onto the next target.

Whilst this bombardment was taking place, a company of SBS troops began embarking into five CH-53K helicopters. They would wait until confirmation came in in regards to the Operation Warlock, and the attack on Jindo Island.

With a combination of information obtained from the English and the Global Hawks in addition to the satellites noticing suspect movements and other signatures from different locations the go ahead was given for another operation.

Black Death had once again been called to launch an attack on Korean positions however this one would be significantly more lethal and effective.

They had been ordered to attack the regional headquarters near Seoul and the structures the English had discovered in the mountains. Once near the Sea of Japan the B-10s would be escorted by 2 F-99 Squadrons. At this point half of Black Death accompanied by a single F-99 squadron left formation and headed for the southern Sobaek mountains whereas the rest maintained course towards Seoul. All coalition forces had been warned about the upcoming attacks and all systems reported that the area was clear as the final sequence from Genesis Command came in. As was procedure with these yields more than one authentication phase was required for release. The formation near Seoul would fire 2 earth-penetrating weapons armed with 9 megaton nuclear warheads. These EPWs would reach almost every possible underground structure with relative ease. The warhead was configured in such a way that while the explosion was enormous the fall-out would be relatively small. Much like the configuration the Soviets used for the Tsar Bomba.

The other formation near the mountains went through the same procedure as the authorization was granted for 3 9 megaton EPWs to be fired at key access points the images had revealed. Here again a configuration was chosen to minimize fall-out.

A 500 kiloton nuclear missile was launched at the British Fleet from a single mobile launcher in the Southern Sobaek Mountains. They would go in a path that would try to avoid all other fleets.

OOC: Okay, before complaining about my not responding, I'll try to get things done by tomorrow morning by editting this post, so please, hold your horses. The short IG war didn't help matters for me, and I'm not getting the sense of direction or location from people's posts.

Also, not sure why Cent isn't doing any rolls, but let me say I don't mind if he does all rolls except for his own and mine. I believe in Cent's integrity :)

The British fleet had been strung out over many miles in preparation for just this senario. SKYNET had detected the launch, which in turn alerted Joona to the threat. Looking back to his display, the detonation point would be on the far left flank in the vicinity of HMS Illustrious, one of the six carriers in the fleet and the Corvette Squadron.

The nuclear missile could have, for all purposes slammed into the flight deck of the ship because when the flash had faded, she was split in two, three corvettes sinking nearby and HMS Hood, a battlecruiser caught on the very edge of the blast was limping away whilst it's crew battled a blaze on the helicopter deck, it would later sink as the fire spread to a magazine causing secondary and tertiary explosions.

The heat had stripped the paint from most of the warships closest to the explosion and a nuclear Tsunami swept over the fleet, causing minimal damage to the closest ships.

In response to the nuclear attacks, one of the Widowmaker squadrons that was re-armed with guided cluster munitions that was north of the launch point used data gathered from
satellites and carpet bombed the general location of the launch.

A lone Widowmaker armed with a VX bunker buster missile swooped down to where a bunker entrance had been confirmed. Using the laser guid in his nose cone, he released the bomb, causing it to smash through the concrete roof of the bunker entrance before exploding in a cloud of nerve gas that would undoubtedly find it's way through the ventilation system of the complex.

OOC
Casualties are:
90 aircraft
1 carrier
3 corvettes
1 battlecruiser
7000-ish sailors

Upon receiving the coordinates and calculating the trajectories necessary, all available strategic bombers were ordered to be sent to the received coordinates. Upon arrival, (as suggested) five double sets of 5 MT thermonuclear warheads would be dropped to wipe out the contingency. Two squadrons of F-23 fighters (totaling at 24 fighters) would escort the bombing wing, with an additional 5 bombers in the far-rear for any additional required bombings. Additionally, FB-22 dive bombers would also glaze over in the aftermath to cover any untouched zones (small-grade thermobaric bombs and napalm).

Message to Rebel Army, Nordic Empire, Vauleyo, UFE

Upon receiving coordinates from the UFE military command and intelligence, we are sending a bombing force to carpet-bomb the Zargathian Border. We request permission to use your respective air spaces to complete this mission.

**In Britain**
The loss of the illustrious, her crew, aircraft, three corvettes and a battlecruiser hit the public hard, but the MOD was prepared.

It reactivated a mothballed Nimitz class carrier, a compliment of F-35's were brought out of storage and attached to the ships flight wing.

The other lost ships were also replaced with a Ticonderoga cruiser and three braunschweig class corvettes.

They would be crewed by the naval reserves, veterans of the west African war and the first Irish conflict.

They would arrive in the theatre within the week.

"Not too long ago, there was a grave miscarriage of justice committed upon the Monagesque peoples.

Through either apathy or malice, millions across the globe perished as nuclear weapons were detonated in random, cowardly attacks.

One of these attacks was inflicted upon Addis Ababa, the former Nodic capital. Their response? An equally callous and vindictive spree of nuclear launches against Monaco and those that rose honorably to defend her.

Against these outrageous and tragic attacks, and I say this knowing full well the sentiments I threaten to stir-up within my very own borders, a heroic coalition was formed to put an end to the bloodshed. The war was ended, with millions lost on both sides, Monaco lay in shambles, as did a large portion of the Cadian main island chain - but for what? The expired Executive Ministry of Nod would answer that those who lost their lives in Addis Ababa were innocent victims. Why defend against the justice their blood cried for?

Because those in Monaco were just as innocent: the citizens, the workers and every other individual living being in that country. For years now, Nod's actions will contaminate the Mediterranean waters, costing millions of jobs in the region's arguably largest industry. The citizens of France, the Athenian Federation, New Cadia and especially Monaco will suffer the fallout repercussions, facing years of clean up.

The Korean Minister threatened to carry out a grave crime against the innocent citizens of both Blue Heaven and Britain - thousands if not millions of families rendered without sons, brothers and fathers. Crimes comparable to the rogue submarine Captains who inflicted much greater harm.

I beg the coalition not to make the same mistake Nod- we made. There is no reason to believe that Korea was purposefully behind this nefarious scheme. The baby that was born yesterday is not as guilty as the man who released those forged photographs. Do not destroy this peninsula in an unmeasured and irresponsible response. We cannot in good conscience condone the coalition's use of nuclear weapons against conventional forces, even against the Koreans.

To the innocent Koreans still living under a punishment meant only for a few I say this. I pray for you. The Aeon will harbor all innocent civilians that may reach our vessels in the Indian Ocean, granting them asylum in our territory until this war ends, or as long as needed. The East African people are ever the caring and compassionate beings they are - as those who fled violence on the Italian held Horn of Africa may attest. We will not persecute you, nor shall we force you to conform.

May this war end swiftly - the Aeon will take no part in it. We pray more lives are not extinguished so needlessly until the bloodlust that has wracked Nod - and now the coalition - is sated."

Princess Rhianne Lucretia Sidamo, Reigning Sovereign of House Sidamo, for the Principality of Aeon

The message would be broadcasted on all Aeon channels, including a satellite radio communications unit passing over the general vicinity of the Korean peninsula. After broadcasting the message towards the Korean theatre on all bands and channels, it would simply depart along its normal route.

OOC: Yes SOM, you will find a lot of this post familiar.

"Its as if the old knee-jerk contrarianism of the old Australian arch duke has possessed the honorable Princess. Really? I mean really? That is the best argument you can come up with. Its rather comical.

This is not a captain of one submarine in a fleet of 30. This is not a rogue military officer who did this. This is the chief diplomat whose position was invented so as to speak the will of the head of state and government of a nation. Foreign Ministers exist so as to be the chief operating officer of a nation's foreign policy and see to it that the government's messages are communicated to other nations. Their voice is second in weight on the international stage only to the head of state or head of government depending on the constitutional structure. Either the Korean government is anarchical and not deserving to be called a government, or their position is sanctioned. Either way action to remove such a threat is justified. Foreign ministers speak for the state, period. If they are by definition not a foreign minister."

From the office of Carlos Burke,

With multiple nuclear warheads detonated in Korea it is recommended the 2nd Task Force is recommended, at the commanding officer's discretion, take anti-radiation preparations. The 1st Mechanized is stocked with sufficient NBC suits and protective measures to operate in all but ground-zero locations, but an approach or landing is not advised given the British expedition's fate.

The Electronic Warfare Brigade has not yet penetrated the Korean government intranet, however attempts continue. It is likely that some Korean communication lines may be damaged by EMP or conventional warheads in the near future. As a result, preparations are being made to circumvent sudden losses-of-connection along major fiber lines.
