Day 1, 30 minutes into conflict, Pyongyang

"But.... the Chinese had betrayed us! Why do we have to save them, sacrificing our people!"

"JUST !@#$@#$ FIRE!!!!!!!!!!"

The single 500 kt bomb that was launched exploded near the HMWC-Thor rockets, knocking out one of the rockets headed for Ehestadt (Hanka), Pyongyang, the Pyongans, Changang, and Hanyang (former Seoul). The SDI system managed to get a few more heading towards Ryanggang and North Hamgyong, but there were massive damages to the military infrastructure, while the rods heading for northern Ehestadt would most likely hit at least 50%. All records of the incoming rockets and their destruction were sent out to all the nations of the world.

A announcement was made by the Premier, Kin Jong Un.

"So, we have here a pretty good war going on, based on the falsification by a country who's trying to save its ass after twisiting .

We've been nice enough to not go and shoot down an unauthorized plane heading towards our country, merely because it happened to have a foolhardy prince on it. We've also been civil enough to entertain him after providing him with his request for help in the investigation. But what comes back? Doctoring of materials to first attempt a war in North America, then sudden accusation of us. It's truly a pity really, since it's nice to see a backstabber get off free.

Currently, Korea finds itself in conflict with a strange collition, with first fire from the elegent Empire of Pravus Ingruo, who happened to have launched some of their rods at Ehestadt, thinking that it was still Hanka under Korea. We've done our best to prevent collateral damages from happening by launching a nuclear weapon to knock the missiles out, but we've only managed to stop half of the rockets heading towards the UFe-Austrian territory. We hope that there are enough defences there for the UFE to prevent deaths.

Now, I'm not sure what is going on with Jia being so up after we practically saved his pretty holiday resort to our northeast from massive destruction, but then, we've always known that sometimes it is the pure who suffers in the racket in this world. We've taken hits in order to do our obligation as former friends, but what do we get? Threat of nuclear destruction? Oh please, even if I don't go into self-pity, this is really one of the greatest betrayals of all time. Regardlessly, I suppose we'll just havae to deal with it.

Let me get this clear: Korea is going to do this to the end. Forget all those conditions or surrender and whatnot: We believe in karma, and just as we shall be going down honorably, the immoral traitors who think they will never be punished would certainly have their fate dealt to them."

Evacuations of the most important persons of the Greater Korean Federation had been done. At the same time, almost all of the military forces were in the bunkers of the massive mountain range in eastern and northern Korea. So extensive were the infrastructure, built since the days of the Democractic People's Republic of Korea, were enough to survive massive nuclear bombings. It would be a long term war, fighting in the underground bunkers which would be practically immune to what the world has currently.

Also, a small deployment of armored troops crossed the Yalu into Zargathia. The reason for this would soon be found out, only to the Zargathians however.......

With the delay in the Korean announcement and the speed at which the rods were falling, there was very little time for the Imperial Missile Corp. to realize that they have made a grave mistake. While there was no true way to stop the rods, the Empire had built in fail safes to lesson damage should the rods be fired on friendly targets.

First, target coordinates were transmitted to Austria and the UFE, urging immediate evacuation. The Empire hoped that no resources were in the area. After all, they had been targeting old Korean positions. Unless the Chinese and Austrians kept their military in the exact same spots, damage from that should be minimal. Still, to further minimize damage, controllers turned off one side of the engines propelling the rods ever faster downward. This caused a list, creating more friction. This friction superheated the rods in the atmosphere, giving them the impression of shooting stars. This friction was many times higher than normal due to a larger surface area of the rod being hit by the heat. After that, the engines turned off completely. One parachute deployed, opened for a few seconds, and then was ripped away. But it had slowed the rods enough that a second parachute was able to significantly slow the projectiles. But the heat would soon eat away at the cords holding the chutes to the rods. Finally, small thermite cores in each rod were activated, beginning to eat through the rod, hopefully softening the blow below. They had done all they could.

A second message was sent to both the UFE and Austria informing them of these actions and offering immediate compensation for any lives lost or infrastructure destroyed.

The Imperial CyberWarfare Corps had a better time of it, analyzing satellite photos and hacking into Korean mainframes to deduce the locations of Korean nuclear missile silos and nuclear reactors. Through a complicated process including backtracking massive power drains and hot spots away from civilian areas, the hackers were able to determine their locations. With this information in hand, it was transmitted to every nation currently engaged against the Koreans for use of strategic bombing runs and missile strikes.

It would have been impossible for any country to have hacked into Chosun, the northern part of Korea. All internet connection with the outside world was strictly controlled in a single location, and it had been already widely known that only traffic which was authorized from the Chosun could come and go. This basically meant that Chosun, which housed all federal and Chosun military information, was virtually hacking proof from the outside.

In terms of communications the Chosun military had developed an indigenous, frequency-hopping radio that allows soldiers to communicate in a secure mode. Fiber optics have been installed between fixed facilities, rendering almost all SIGINT unnecessary. In attempt to protect its forces from surveillance and air capabilities, Chosun have built a tremendous number of underground facilities throughout North Korea to protect leadership and critical forces. They were not completely nuclear-proof, but the sheer scale of the entire system meant that it would have taken several nations devoting all their intelligence capacities at least an year to discover completely. Since most of these had always been "known" in their existence but "unknown" in their details (with no record connecting the thousands of facilities and locations), not even the UFE, who had occupied Korea before, would would been able to figure out easily. With the extensive thermal deposits beneath the surface throughout Korea, it would be very hard to differentiate any specific bunker from regular terrain.

Chosun had also modified key facility defenses, dispersed forces, and improved camouflage, concealment, and deception measures, making . Even nuclear strikes would kill off only about a brigade worth of infantry, and with almost all the forward deployed artillery stored in well-protected underground emplacements to conceal and protect infantry forces, mechanized units, and war material stockpiles, a very long war was in view, at least in the North.

The announcement from the Kingdom of Cochin while a nuisance was not surprising, forces had already prepared routes around the EEZ. With the risk of a ground attack on the Athenian Federation very low another 300,000 men, 3,000 tanks and 7,000 support vehicles were being redeployed to Japan as fast as possible.

In Japan the deployments from Cam Ranh Bay had been completed and the 10.000 man Thracian Vanguard would be prepared for an airdrop over South Jeolla.

Information on the location of air force facilities were shared with all participants of the coalition.

---

(Imperial War Cabinet)

Reports were rushing into the nerve center of the Hellenic Forces, reports on the use of nuclear force by Korea, satellite feeds, intelligence from other militaries and so much more.

“Your Imperial Highnesses, our operatives confirm they have successfully identified the facilities used by Korea to launch aircraft. Our forward forces report they are ready to move on your go. After recent developments we would like to propose an alternate strategy.” General Petris said switching the central screen to a map of Korea showing the facilities.

“If we were to equip 5 of our cruise missiles with 300 kiloton tactical warheads and fire those at the 5 main facilities we should be able to maximize the damage done to the aircraft.”

Ariadne sighed. “What is your take on it Magistrate?” She asked looking at the Magistrate of Energy.

“The Air Force is most likely right. The Koreans have already taken this conflict to a nuclear point, while their attacks were defensive they were still nuclear. The Black Death Squadron has already been armed with these weapons and can launch from Athens AFB upon your order.”

Ariadne looked at Valerio who nodded in confirmation. “Very well, prepare Black Death to launch 5 tactical weapons towards the 5 main targets. Have their attempts coordinate with the Air Force units in Asia, the HNS Poseidon and HNS Aphrodite. I want them to hit at the same time.”

---

In the late afternoon the 32nd Wraith Squadron “Black Death” would prepare for launch for Athens AFB.

“Black Leader to Genesis requesting final confirmation on special delivery.”

“Black Leader this is Genesis, release special delivery over marked targets. Maintain radio silence until in range.”

“Confirmed, boys we have a go.”

The B-10s once in the air would immediately move to a near space altitude where they would go to their maximum speed. Moving over the air space of Rebel Army, Novak, international waters and eventually the UFE they would team up with another 10 squadrons which had launched from Cam Ranh Bay. They would move to about 750 kilometers from the Korean Border where their speed was lowered and the targets were programmed. By now 4 F-99 squadrons amd 4 F-1 squadrons from the HNS Poseidon had moved into positions near the Korean border to aid the B-10s should they be intercepted outside of Korean air.

“Black Leader to all units, release all weapons”

The bombers firing from different locations along the sphere would fire a total of 400 missiles at confirmed facilities. These missiles would move to hypersonic speeds to make interception highly unlikely. The 5 main facilities would receive 20 missiles each, one of the 20 missiles in each group would be armed with a 300 kiloton nuclear warhead set to detonate at the perfect moment to take down as much aircraft as possible. Once the weapons were released the B-10s would turn around and fly back to their bases at the maximum speed possible. 10 squadrons back to Cam Ranh Bay and Black Death back to Athens. The fighters would do the same.

Day 1, 2 hours into the conflict

The 28 submarines, based on the Seawolf, silently left their ports and entered the East Korea Sea. Their use of non-nuclear propulsion meant that they would be highly invisible to MADs and other various detection devices. They headed south, towards the most likely place of conflict: the South Korea Sea.

Meanwhile, about half of the missiles launched by the Athenians were shot down, due to their targeting the north mostly. Mainly of the open air bases were damaged enough to disrupt operation for the next 2 days, as emergency repair would be conducted. This wasn't that much of a hassle, fortunately. The Chosun air force maintains approximately seventy air fields, including jet and non-jet bases and emergency runways, and has stationed its aircraft in some twenty to thirty air bases. Dozens of reserve airstrips had been built for emergency landing and takeoff for fighters along highways and ordinary roads across the country, making it difficult to completely shut down the northern air force infrastructure.... As long as there were the fighters to take off from them. 2 squadrons had been completely destroyed, with various degrees of damages to another squadron.

However, the greatest damage was done to the Western Air Command at Uiju Air Base. This facility was mainly renovated with the plan that any future conflict with Zargathia or UFE would be decided with the base closest to the border, and thus was designated as the Western Air Command. And it was here that one of the nuclear weapons deployed detonated. Aside from destroying the airbase and the 18 fighters stationed there, some of the blast reached into Zargathia.

The British Fleet had rallied south of Australia and had sailed north through the Tasman sea in international waters and continued into the open Pacific before once again changing course towards the Phillipine Sea where they would wait for a green light from Coalition Command. The carriers deployed Thier E-2C Hawkeye 2000 's from the two carriers to broaded the fleets radar horizon. The submarines had fanned out to create a ring of steel to protect the fleet from submerged attack, it was prooving difficult as the need to remain hidden themselves took priority. On the surface, the fleets destroyers and frigates deployed their helicopters to begin sweeping overations for ASW countermeasures for an added ring of defence.
Carrying 14,400 Marines and a futher 10,600 attached with the merchant marine fleet aswell as a massive number of smaller vehicles and the following:

158 Hector Rapid Deployment Tank
158 Scimitar II Rapid Deployment Armoured Recon Tank
474 Warrior III's
474 Scimitars II
474 Imperial Justice Heavy Rocket Artillery System
474 Imperial Justice Long Range Mobile Anti Air Defence
474 Thor Self Propelled Artillery System
2000 Mobile starstreak anti air defences
200 MIM-104F patriot batteries

The Challenger III's would remain in Britain whilst a further two Army Corps were readied to possibly reinforce the British expeditionary Army.

In Blue Heaven, the Parachute Corps was awaiting permission from Ursalia to fly over Ursalian airspace to deploy to its forward base of operations in Japan, but were still waiting by a late response.

Joonas estimated ETA on arrival into the theatre of Operations with Hellenic forces was another days sailing.

Missiles soared into the air hitting their targets on after another as they descended down towards Ehesdadt. Between the advanced guidances on the UFE missile defense battery and the PI countermeasures the weapons were either shattered or broken off course into the Pacific Ocean or the nearby large lake dealing negligible damage.

Jia from his southern mobile air command addressed the nations:

"The Korean Federation and the United Federation of the East have had a long and tumultuous history. What started out as a partnership of promise has progressively degenerated over time. Each time the Koreans have shown themselves to be snakes, each time the UFE has avoided what must be done out of mercy and a desire for peace in Asia. As the leader of the Federation I have failed. I should have squashed this threat many years ago, before it was allowed to entrench itself with nuclear weapons. Nevertheless, despite my failings and my deepest apologies to the many soldiers and mothers, wives, and daughters who will now pay the costs of this battle, I assure you my resolve will not waver.

Our enemy has shown their fangs in conversations they released. The Greater Korean Federation seeks war with the United Federation of the East, the only difference is, they sought it at different times, they sought it by using back rooms to turn the world against us and surround us. We will not allow them to do so. The power of the United Federation of the East will be brought to bear on the GKF in its fullest and mightiest extent. We desire to avoid casualties, but the enemy's casual use of nuclear weapons has demonstrated they have little respect for the aweness of this weapon. We shalln't allow another Maine to rise on our doorstep. I am therefore releasing the UFE nuclear arsenal to be used against military targets. Korea's population centers will not be targeted unless the UFEs or its allies are targeted or the enemy uses biological weapons.

Citizens of the Federation, today I request your strength! It is time for you to stand up for what it is we most deeply believe and cherish. Let us show Korea and indeed the world that our Federation shall not cower against the powers of Fear and Imperialism! We shall not waver in our vision, this Federation shall endure because it must endure! I hereby call upon all the soldiers and allies of the United Federation of the East to stand with me! The Shining Beacon of the East shall never be extinguished!"

==========================================

From positions within the UFE, the UFEs missile forces would simoultanously to the air and sea attack launch a massive assault on the Korean command structure, their targets would be enemy radars, command structures, aircraft control towers, and missile batteries to destroy what stand off capability Korea had. From transamur, two hundred MRBMs would be launched to suppress enemy positions, along with two fifty arclight upgraded tomahawk hyper sonic cruise missiles.

From Shandong the same attack would be launched. The goal of this attack was both to finish off and decapitate what the PI bombardment had started, but also to suppress the enemies air defenses to engage this barrage while other units initiated their assault.

Three MRBMs launched from the UFE towards the Korean underground shipyard, each carried a 'reduced radiation' fusion warhead with a 4 megaton directional blast yield designed to destroy a reinforced underground facility. The warheads had been developed with the specific purpose of producing a blast powerful enough to incinerate the armor around and destroy a reinforced facility, but had most of their power derived from a clean fusion blast to minimize radioactive fall out (to the extent that could be done). The above ground shipyards would be engaged by 3 airbursted high yield thermobaric MRBMs to wipe them out followed on by a finishing bombardment of 10 conventional MRBMs.

DF-21 Ds launched from Southern China would be used to knock out the pair of carriers and the amphibious ship employed by the Korean forces. Four manuverable re-entry vehicles refitted with extra counter measures such as chaff and decoys along with a one time use electronic jamming suite would execute high gee turns as they homed in on their kills packing thermobaric 'carrier busting' warheads.

At the same time high powered anti satellite lasers were fired up into the Korean Satellite network in order to blind it. UFE Space forces were ordered into space to provide additional space reconnaissance from manned and unmanned platforms rather than rely simply on the UFEs recon forces.

Over the Korean Penninsula, the UFE deployed a forward picket force of skyhawk stealth electronic warfare, SAR scouting, and airborne warning drones. These units were under orders to conduct signal gathering, scan for enemy electromagnetic signals, and gather position locations on the Korean forces. At the same time the units were ordered to conduct DRFM jamming of enemy frequencies and insert tailored malicious cyber data streams into enemy broad band uplinks for information sharing.

A strike force of 48 F-3s in UCAV configuration would deliver the first air raid from the UFE. Their targets were follow on assaults against surviving air fields from the Athenian raid. Each of the F-3s launched from bases in Fujian would accelerate to Mach 5+ speeds before unleashing its package and flying back for landing over friendly air space in the North for re-armament.

Heading towards the North and South Pyongyang District, six squadrons of F-1s traveling at Mach 1.8 super cruise used their high powered microwave weapons to engage targets which were emitting electromagnetic signals be they radio, infrared, or radar on bandwidths significant to be military. HPM devices which were capable of defeating even traditionally hardened targets would quickly fry enemy systems for follow up attacks. These would be delivered in the form of the Tu-160s the F-1s were playing escort for. Two strike groups with one Tu-160 Rudolph and five Tu-160 Sinos would move towards the coast of Korea. The Rudolph provided enhanced signal jamming and readied its massive bodies array of AESA radars and high energy laser to intercept any enemy SAMs while relaying targeting information to the F-1 stealth fighters which kept their own targeting systems off. This would allow in combination with the drone force, the F-1s to maintain a clear picture had any enemy fighters miraculously survived the Athenian nuclear assault and the F-3 follow up, while not having to risk signals detection themselves.

Utilizing 20 external mounted ground outfitted NGTAMs at 400 kilometers the UFEs Tu-160s unleashed at total of 200 of these weapons as a follow on to further degrade the military infrastructure that the Pravus Ingruo forces had attacked focusing on suspected air defense and radar installations.

The UFE also fired twenty five of its larger thermobaric warheads, each equivalent to about 1.5 times the yield of a FOAB. They concentrated these weapons using ICBM delivery mechanisms on five sites which they had noted as being underground installations in the North during the long UFE occupation of the Korean penninsula. The strategy called for these to be used as caving weapons to break open a target area and make it structurally weak. Quickly following on this, the UFEs ten TU-160s opened up their internal weapons bays to reveal twelve ER-M-51 hypersonic cruise missiles. These weapons would then be fired twenty four at each installation as a pile on to the FOABS to finish off the installations once made vulnerable to general bombardment.

A second force of 18 B-9 Block III bombers was kept over Qingdao along with an escort force 36 F-2s spread out to provide long range fire support in the event that enemy air defenses went live, and presented targets for engagement. This would be supplemented by the deployment of UFE Cerberus combat drones, a forces of 80 total would loiter over Korean Air space ready to engage air defenses.

At sea, the UFE had also initiated an assault. The guns of the Battleships Han and Zhou opened up from their positions in the yellow sea 350 kilometers from the Coast of North Korea and south of Shandong. The weapons were used to target anti-naval and anti-amphibious positions around Pyongyang. The battleships Qin and Xia joined in the Assault from their positions in the East China Sea targeting the defenses of Busan and Incheon.

Littoral combat ships and anti submarine helicopters would move to reinforce the Korean Straits along with a strike force of 16 UFE attack submarines. Drones would continue deploying sonar bouys throughout the combat zone to increase the UFE detection capability.

In the Sea of Japan, naval UAVs were already on duty scouting for Korean submersible actions. Sonar buoys had given the UFE eyes on four of the twenty eight submarines, whose total movement created not an insubstantial amount of attentions to the various grids which had been laid out. Two P-8s out of Vladivostok were given clearance to engage the targets with torpedos. This was followed up by an attack by four UAVs launched from one of the UFEs littoral combat ships attacked to the UFE Sea of Japan Strike force. The UFEs destroyer and Cruiser in the Sea of Japan strike force would also join the fight targeting Korean anti shipping batteries with arclight upgraded hypersonic cruise missiles from positions between Transamur and Japan and in range of both's missile defense network. Special priority would be given to enemy search radars and stand off munitions launchers capable of reach allied naval forces. In total 80 weapons were launched for the attack.

Carrier forces meanwhile were kept back within defensive position of the UFE southern chinese coastline.

A public reply was made to Jia by Kim Jung Un, using secured connections to the Zargathia broadcasting station.

"Casual use, you say? Who was it that used a megaton-class bomb on some rebel scum in Japan? Who was it that declares war over some of the most suspicious incidents? Wasn't it you, Jia, the one in hubris after thinking you had everyone in control?

I'll make this clear: Korea will be honorable in not using its nuclear weapon against the territories of other. However, we will use any and all measures necessary to wipe out any invaders who land on our shore, so be prepared for the inevitable fire that shall fall upon your troops when they are in the sacred territory of Greater Korea."

5 satellites over the UFE from the Cheonlian System began self-destruction measures upon being blinded. The explosion from within the "Improved CRYSTAL Metric System" clas satellites sent massive debris throughout the space above China, damaging and disrupting almost every space-based systems from Gansu to Beijing. This would by Korea some time a it would be a while before the coalition would be able to repair the damages to their integrated systems.

At the same time 50 Nodongs with the still functioning JDAM were fired at the UFE forces in the West and East Korea Sea. They were basically the same as the much-advertised ASBMs that seemed to be the rage in the world, and even if half of them hit, it would be enough to disable the UFE forces temporarily.

OOC: Further update after the SDI rolls and further analysis of Triyun's post. People really need to keep their action numbers in check >_<

A neutron ABM was launched from the Qin Shi Huang Cruiser over the Sea of Japan while a second was launched from Shandong over the Yellow Sea. Both these weapons would emit neutron fluxes as they detonated disabling most of the Nandongs. Boeing Airborne Lasers and Tu-160 Rs would engage the targets further diminishing their effectiveness. In the end only two got through hitting the guns armored battleship Qin. Fire crews worked rapidly to contain the blast as it was ordered to move back to port in Kiaohsiung.

The targeted site of the ballistic missile launches would be quickly engaged by the the missiles aboard the battleships Han and Zhou as well as the squadrons of B-9 IIIs each launcher site would be engaged by four ER-M-51 missiles to knock it out of commission after being fired.

While the Koreans would like to have thought themselves capable of disabling every space system of the UFEs in one foul swoop, the reality was something different. Most of the UFEs satellites were built for endurance and combat operations. In reality about fifteen percent of the UFEs space satellites experience diminished performance and recon provided by ultra high altitude UAVs, geo sync satellites, and the UFEs space fleet had experienced virtually no performance delays as multiple systems of C4 ISR redundancy had long been part of the UFEs capabilities.

Three batches of 10 Nodongs each were launched from other launch locations at the West, South, and East Korean Seas. With the use of mobile launchers which were able to hide in secure areas until they were needed, it would also be quite a while before the more than 700 Chosun ballistic missiles would all be destroyed, and this did not include the various arms that the two states had together, ranging from cruise missiles to rocket artillery. This would be a long war of attrition.

The main purpose of the self destruction of satellites was to prevent the further damages to the main core of the Cheonlian System, situated over Korea. The debris would be enough to prevent any sort of attack on the system from space, leaving only nuclear weapons as the choice of weapon.

**Classified Movements**

Orders from Soliman were coming in to the sub fleet and to the mobile missile command in Japan. Missile command was tasked with interception half of the 10 missiles fired by the Koreans against West and Southern Korean Sea Forces. Once given the command, roughly 20 interceptor missiles were fired in defense.

The sub fleet was given their commands; locate and destroy the location of which Korea is using to move missile launchers in and out. Using satellite recon and drone synthetic aperture radar, coordinates were relayed to the commander of the fleet. He ordered 3 low megaton nuclear missiles on to the underground bunkers. The subs, from their position underneath the water, launched 3 4MT nuclear missiles. Each missile was given a separate target, as to maximize the damage to the Korean's missile defenses. After the launch, the subs dived and moved to locate and destroy Korean subs in the Sea of Japan.

Satellite recon also showed the location of 15 airfields used by the Koreans. In Japan, 45 thermobaric hypersonic missiles were launched to ensure the destruction of the airfields. Korean low-orbit observation satellites, capable of locating ships, were all targeted by Novaki anti-sat missiles as well. Intel obtain throughout this operation was shared with allies as well.

The Blue Heaven B-52s had landed at the Alaskan air base at around 4 pm EST and then began bomb sorties into Korea. Once in the air, they linked into the UFE's overhead drone forces and attacked 12 tomahawks at 25 Korean airfields, in concert with coalition command. The attack would consist of each B-52 launching six Block IV TLAM-E Tomahawks from 800 NMI over UFE territory off the coast of Transamur. Precautions were taken to not violate Zargathian airspace in any way.

Three squadrons of F-2 fighters over the Sea of Japan engaged enemy ASBMs as they began moving towards the UFE Sea of Japan fleet. HPMs and chemical energy lasers were used to engage the enemy units knocking one after another from the sky. Meanwhile the Qin Shi Huang Class air defense cruiser also launched its own missiles in interception. UFE land based interceptors took care of the rest.

In the Yellow Sea the UFEs Tu-160 Rudolphs used their lasers to down the remaining five ASBMs that the Novakians had failed to take out. UFE battleships would target the enemy installations from which these were launched with six ER-M-51 cruise missiles each. While using their rail guns to continue to bombard enemy locations transmitted by the drone flights over Korea, specific targeting was given to defensive systems such as: anti ship missiles, SAMs, and radar installations.

SAR drones operating over Korea were able to track the movements of hundreds of TEL launchers moving to and from the supposed 'secure' locations, along with tracking surviving air defenses in the area. The F-2s moved over the area engaging any air defenses with their HPM weapons and combined AESA radar energy producing an extreme amount of energy to fry the circuitry. NGTAM were used in combination with super cruise to engage and destroy the TEL launchers before they could be reused.

36 UCAV F-3s were launched from Southern China, using their scram jets 12 of the units were able to achieve extremely high altitude as they targeted low earth orbit satellites of the Koreans capable of tracking ships and allowing Nodongs to engage the seaborne forces. 12 of the units would be used to engage any naval UAVs in the area providing similar function. As the Korean radar system had already been thoroughly bombarded, it was unlikely further engagement was possible. The remaining twelve launched raids at Mach 6 on three more Korean Air fields aiming to continue and knock them out as UAV SAR forces continued to paint an ever more complex picture of the Korean battle scape.

UFE P-8s to were gathering more and more info as more sonar buoys were dropped. Eyes on three more Korean Submarines were confirmed and engaged with six air to sea torpedoes each. Cerberus UCAVs would simultaneously engage Southern Sea coastal defensive batteries with cluster munitions against mobile positions, and bunker busters against hardened targets.

The bombing runs from the coalition had proven quite effective in covering the gaps of the initial Hellenic offensive. From the HNS Poseidon and HNS Aphrodite would launch 4 Global Hawks each, these UAVs would begin surveillance runs over the Koreas to gather intelligence where the satellites failed.

Much like those of the UFE the satellites maintained by Athens were hardly damaged by the self-destruct protocols.

Once it became clear what was left after the bombing strikes by coalition forces the Athenian Federation would begin their next strike. Three F-99 Squadrons had already been rushed into the air from the HNS Aphrodite to intercept the ASBMs heading for coalition fleets in the Sea of Japan, what had not been shot down by the UFE’s defenses were destroyed by the F-99s using their combination of cyber warfare systems.

Once the squadrons had returned the Hellenic Forces were ready for the next phase of the offensive. The Battleships HNS Kalimata, HNS Venice and HNS Rome moved into positions south and east of Korea. Not far behind would be the carriers HNS Poseidon and HNS Aphrodite with the HNS Odysseus. a command ship, staying as far away as possible where it could still maintain all its systems against the GKF. The rest of the Pacific Fleet established positions south and east of Korea in a pattern that would make sure a single hit could never take out more than one ship.

The nuclear missile submarines would remain close to Cam Ranh Bay however the attack submarines began actively hunting Korean submarines around Korean land.

With the required information gathered 15 F-1 Squadrons and 15 F-99 Squadrons were put into the air from carriers and bases in Asia, each armed with a combination of HARMs and cluster bombs configured for the different uses. These would fill in the gaps of coalition air strikes. The fighters would engage RADAR systems using their DEWs and radar energy to fry the systems, where this proved insufficient AGM-88E AARGMs would be released to take the rest down. Anti-Air, anti-naval sites and air facilities would become victim of a variant of the AGM-158 which released cluster munitions. The cluster munitions against the air facilities would work by first making a small hole in the concrete of runways followed by another explosion to create a gap in the runway that would make putting a plane into the air nearly impossible. The anti-air and anti-naval sites such as SAM and ASBM launch silos would be attacked by more conventional cluster bombs that would explode over a large area to take down as many as possible. As soon as all weapons were released the fighters would turn back to their bases.

Meanwhile the battleships would start as soon as the fighters were clear, using information from satellites, the UAVs and the fighters that had just moved over Korea would target what was left after Athenian air raids. Soon railguns would fire on confirmed locations of anti-air and anti-naval systems.

The newly-designated 2nd Fleet, made up by the 1st Carrier Group, consisting of one Manual class aircraft carrier, four Polo class destroyers and two Sirena class attack submarines plus the 1st Task Force, consisting of three additional Polo class destroyers would escort 10,000 combat personnel of the 1st Mechanized Division north along the Chinese coast, taking care to stay under the anti-missile umbrella of the United Federation of the East. Their target location was 50 kilometers off the coast of Shanghai, in the East China Sea. Once there, a full screen of anti-submarine and anti-vessel sensors would be deployed in addition to a constant screen of picket F35s. The 2nd Fleet would rely on ground-based missiles from the UFE to clear Korean defenses until a landing path was clear to save munitions for the support of land operations.

Encrypted Transmission to Selenarctos:

In anticipation of possible nuclear strikes, please locate your forces in Henan and Jiangsu province rather than near Shanghai, we are transmitting clearance for a spread out group of air fields. We appreciate your assistance.

Also satellite intel your space assets could give coalition forces on enemy bunkers would be appreciated.

Encrypted Transmission to Cascadia:
Greetings,

Per your status as a member of the Austrian Commonwealth and the Austro-Chinese Alliance, the United Federation of the East is forwarding live feeds for targeting data provided by our synthetic aperture radar systems tracking movements of Korean ground forces. Included in targeting data is locations of enemy dispersed air fields, radar sites, SAM sites, coastal batteries, and suspected ground target bunker entrances.

"To prevent further cluttering of Earth's orbit with satellite- and missile fragments, we offer our services to remove Korea's remaining space assetsin our own way.
Should you accept, we will get to work immediately. Several shuttles are already moving into position to proceed."

CLASSIFIED FOR COALITION NATIONS AND CASCADIAN RECORDS
The First and Second attack wings have been fueled and launched and have been ordered to refuel at a Fort Beihai in Japan before making their first attack run. Because Cascadia is using UFE equipment, the reloading of armaments will be done through UFE, and paid back at the end of the war. The two attack wings will join other national air forces in their runs over Korea, in order to provide a more unified assault. 1. CVBG Distopya has also been ordered to base in Japan to help patrol the East China Sea.

"In light of the recent conflict and the immense amount of space-trash that has already been generated, it has been decided that Sri Lanka will remove all of Korea's space assets - satellites and whatever else they've got in Earth's orbit.
This is a necessity to lessen the war's impact on space travel in the near future. As of this moment, the majority of Sri Lanka's space-craft around the planet will begin 'Operation Ahab'.
Korea may take this as a declaration of war of sorts."

_____________

[Classified for the Coalition]

With the UFE accepting, Sri Lanka's space fleet - it couldn't be called anything else - sprung into action, a sort of action they hadn't done before.
Information on all known satellites of Korea was being gathered, then distributed via heavily encrypted channels. Dozens of shuttles, each almost twice as long as the traditional 'Space shuttle' and with up to six times the payload began congregating in the classic LEO, MEO and GEO orbits, searching for Korean satellites.
Upon finding one, a shuttle would accelerate to match the satellite's speed, which usually wouldn't take more than a few minutes, thanks to their powerful fusion engines. Once cruising, the course would be set for interception, the shuttle eventually ending up some hundred meters above the satellite. Careful and highly precise calculations would then allow the shuttle to open one of its two smaller cargo bays, in which a suprisingly frequently used tool was situated. Once everything was calculated by the ship's on-board VI, this tool would come into action.

Essentially a magnetic harpoon would be fired at the satellite. The powerful electromagnet likely would be capable of disrupting all but the most advanced and hardened electronics, enabling the shuttle to safely reel the satellite in without any suprises happening.
Who in the world would ever expect a harpoon-attack upon a satellite moving anywhere between 3 and 7 kilometers per second?
Nobody. That's who.

The harpooning would automatically activate the self-destruction process, causing even more dangerous debris to be generated. For all the technological advances of Sri Lanka, their fleet could not escape being severely damaged during the operation.

It seemed like a good deed was turning things worse.

Once the RN-escorted ground shipment arrived, they would offload immediately and most would be at or near the border region. Around 20 000 would be distributed among the remaining coastal regions, they were there to ensure things didn't go to hell. The naval groups would patrol the seas, and the fighters would patrol the airspace above.

Both the navy and air force, along with the areas would attempt to shoot down and/or disrupt any sort of missiles and munitions coming from Korea. In addition, sixteen Auroras armed with MOPs discreetly took off from bases in Babylon and Persia, cruising towards the Far East. They would avoid Cochin airspace on the way.

Once the ground forces settled into their proper defensive and offensive positions, the declaration of war upon Korea, citing the UFE and Athens MDoAPs, plus TSI, would be issued in at a low key conference.

According, the Auroras' target was Korea, each of the bombers would break off into pairs. Their targets were eight Korean underground targets, based off of intelligence sent by allied nations and a specialized RA hacking unit. The orders for each pair would be simple, Aurora 1 hits the target, and then Aurora 2 drops it's MOP into the hole blown in the target by Aurora 1; this would ensure the destruction of the target. Once the Auroras had gotten close to Korea, and notably had yet to enter it's airspace, the Vipers in the area would link up with and escort the bombers on their mission.

The RN vessels on patrol would assist and reinforce their UFE counterparts, getting targeting information and mission objectives from them.

OOC: Still don't have the spy roll results but I gotta run to bed soon, so I'm posting this now.

The Ravens were looking towards Korea, and could already smell the corpses: Vikings in sight.

Two hundred Viking Ships of varying size, type and quality, their armament was such that while they could take on patrol boats and be completely lethal to civilian ships, they would generally be no match against a destroyer - excepting for Captain van Derp's one Landing Battleship.

They approached, yet stayed at a cautious distance, ever-sailing so as not to be a target of the usual missile spam that characterized modern naval combat. Van Derp contacts the coalition and says, "Eventually you're going to have to land rather than shoot from afar. For a price, we can assist you all to make it much easier. Any takers?"
