  1. Except the actual order was: - Polar declares peace with attackers - TOP enters the war for her "side" no reason soon after - TOP falls right into a setup by Polaris/CnG their own paranoia - CnG/Polaris laughs
  2. You launch a preemptive strike against a number of alliances not currently at war and you are taking a risk. You make a move in a global war without communicating properly with others on your side and you are taking a risk. You do both at once? You are taking an incredibly huge risk. I have no idea how anyone could possibly think this was a good idea. As I said in another thread, just because TOP and company got away with it in noCB war (vastly superior numbers/might makes right) doesn't mean that they will again this time.
  3. My heart goes out to the women and children of Schloss Eggenberg. May the mighty armies of Rebel Virginia show them mercy.
  4. Interesting to see a number of people who fondly called the ODN home for years take up arms against us without cause. To the Alliance of Nations, when you do get around to actually declaring a single ingame war (I know it took you a full day in the TPF war so I'm not expecting much), I hope its everything you were looking for. To IRON, see you around
  5. I cannot fault NSO's reason for entry in this war, and at this point I find this announcement to be a most honourable course of action given the situation. Not sure I ever thought I'd say it, but good show NSO.
  6. This is pretty much exactly what happened in the noCB war. Except this time I don't think TOP will get away with it.
  7. May his majesty Stumpy, King of Purple, have mercy on these heinous rebels.
  8. STA you're good people, and I can't fault you for this. Good luck.
  9. Chief Savage Man and Jack are ruling the thread so far.
  10. TOP gains 3 members to avoid dipping below 200. That was close. So assuming the addition of one more (~15 score alliance) to make the number of alliances equal (37), it seems we'd be within about 5 points of the previous max, as another global war arrives. Perhaps we've approached some sort of terminal score, and are doomed to never exceed it.
  11. The Intermission comic, 3rd row, 2nd frame. Pretty much all that needs to be said.
  12. Congrats to R&R, and to INT on their effort. Arms races are always excellent ideas.
  13. Congratulations to our friends in GATO and IAA. I know what it means
  14. In Soviet Russia, Party finds YOU!! Memes aside, this is an awesome milestone from an awesome alliance. The International and CPCN before it have been to this day some of our closest friends. I'm very happy to see this, and here's to many more years!
  15. Agreeing with BnT? I'm not sure I even know what to believe in anymore.
  16. So funny because it was so unexpected, amirite? Also: Predating the treaty of Soylent ORRPLE was the ODN-Legion Citrus-Concord Pact. This treaty as written was a MADP, though it was before such treaty designations were used, I believe. ORRPLE technically "re-affirmed" the Citrus-Concord Pact, though it was never treated as a MADP to my knowledge.
  17. A thoroughly terrible government indeed. How such people even managed to post an announcement I will never know.
  18. [OOC]I believe that would be Newton, not Einstein[/OOC] Its a shame that a serious foreign affairs movement coupled with genuine friendship built between parties over the course of a year causes so much ire nowadays. To all those in this thread who've congratulated ourselves and the rest of C&G I thank you. To those who haven't, your position has been made clear. Also, bcndwilson for most ironic post of the year?
  19. Please. As if anyone could have caught on to such an elegantly subtle foreign affairs alignment.
