  1. Have another look. He is with TMF. We wish Vilien well with his endeavours, he has elected to run his own race.
  2. You surprised me with this one Vilien, another well articulated piece. Congrats and Good Luck.
  3. Haflinger, that was added August 27, 2008, one month after this thread, who knows, CN may be the pioneer of such memes. Thanks though, I never would have thought it was widely used.
  4. This old thread where His Holiness DoW (nuke rogue) on Moo I didn't think the DoW was all that funny but the first five posts that followed the OP were just sheer stupidity but very amusing: and then through the thread: I am unsure if this thread coined that phrase but it still rears its amusing head every now and again.
  5. There were 30 pages of people speaking for and against it in the official announcement alone. The reactions started from day one.
  6. Is that even if the Triumvirate try to vote the Dear Leader out as stipulated in 2.1.4?
  7. OK so why include it and also thats a very interesting point of view you have that certain phrases in a treaty "doesn't mean crap" to you. So can you please go through all the NADC treaties and point out what phrases written into your treaties bear no meaning. Thanks.
  8. Lusitan, if Agora "was actually intended to produce economic benefit for its signatories" as you put it then; indicates that this is more than just an economic bloc. You may have been tied via treaties already but this just ensures that that military bloc is strengthened. Also it would have bound new alliances who joined to honour Article III. Hence the cynicism it received that it was not purely an economic bloc and why NPO was a co-signatory. You stated that NPO being involved was a mistake and I have to agree with you. And to say I don't know the intentions of the co-signatories is true, however, to limit it to just stating that they were excited about building an new economic bloc for blue is shallow considering the inclusion of Article III coupled by NPO's presence. But it's dead now.
  9. Will The Untouchables seek to close The Liquor Cabinet and bring The Mafia to justice? I really like the name and flag. Good luck.
  10. This was the official announcement HERE. It was met with much cynicism despite the spin by those involved. It achieved nothing in the terms of unity amongst blue alliances. Shame on those who took the soft option and expected they were protected by NPO by signing it instead of seeking to improve BLEU. It was already dead and buried to many blue alliances from when the announcement of it was made. This announcement confirms nothing but what we thought from day one.
  11. Congrats Nemesis! Nice to see Bob I back in the alliance. Also I believe you should introduce a "Minister of Hot Chicks" as this is the most viewed thread on your forums.
  12. Great speech Celtic. Happy Birthday GR! Good luck with this new line up!
  13. I take offence to the dog story. Mabye it's your fault for not training the puppy via a rewards system instead of just punishing it all the time. And did you consider that us dogs are very territorial? Mmmm? Did you ever consider the fact that the puppy did not know your friend and was defending your property? Obviously not. I can not tolerate humans who are bad and the world has too many humans....or "No U" /me is doing a hot steamer on your newly laid carpet whilst chewing your shoe. o/ Canines!
  14. Congratulations guys (and gal)! This is indeed a great government, couple these personalities with the new Charter and I can only be optimistic and enthusiastic about the future of Avalanche. These elected persons have been actively around in government for just as long as me so there is definitely no loss in experience. Thanks for the recognition in the OP and other posts, I wasn't expecting that. But yes, I have been the leader five of seven terms, and LoFA for another term. I am already enjoying my retirement amongst the rank and file. [ooc]This little delivery is now consuming my time, as well as other renovations in the backyard. If you look hard enough I am already dog paddling in it.[/ooc]
  15. Good Luck CoJ! The forums look fantastic btw. And kudos to Nemesis for looking after this fledgling alliance.
  16. Onya Blacky! o/ Nemesis! And get Ilyani back.
  17. Thanks Vox, you were a great dynamic to Planet Bob.
  18. NV has a MDoAP with Avalanche. TPF DoW on Avalanche early in the war. So NV were always going to be fighting TPF in any event, friends or treaties. o/ NV!
  19. I see that the NPO are using the speed recruiting methods of Jarheads...they have recruited 100+ new nations (Counting newly created nations only) in the last fortnight which is phenomenal. This is why their membership numbers are not decreasing. I wonder if anyone else is recruiting. edit: typo grrrrr!
  20. Yes I agree it should be at least 100,000 tech paid as reps as one alliance had to pay during the the noCB War.
  21. Hey congrats GPA on the elections. Hope all goes well for the future!
  22. D34th, applying this question using the analogy of a burglary offence, I will answer. The other parties assisting under Criminal Law become whats known as "parties to the offence" (it may be a different term where your from) and are therefore treated as the same as the main perpetrator. I am not saying that should occur in this case but you formulated the example using an offence and then applied it to those ex-Continuum members. Also mitigating arguement can be utilised to determine the reasons as to why they followed the leader, under what circumstances ie willfully, negligently, blindly etc. So it is a very very difficult question to answer in the criminal context you have framed things. Are you thinking of holding a Planet Bob War Crimes Tribunal ? edit: typo
