1.
Umm... what?
Not declarations on alliances, buddy. Declarations on Polar nations by Misfits nations. Christ.
 2.
Well, lets look at a track record of the three major alliances involved in that. GGA died a pathetic shell of an alliance ridiculed by all. GOONS got rolled not long after we did and died. NPO we got to give it to personally in Karma. VE meanwhile reformed, and became stronger than ever. Pretty good turn around for an alliance that had been targeted by the undisputed world power at the time. How has the alliance your in made out for it self lately? You are wearing NPO's badge, but an NSO AA ticker, so lets cover both. NPO is political poison that nobody but their most die hard fans want to touch, so despite their NS they are still in a terrible position. NSO is a joke of a failed personality cult who's entire existence can be summarized with the Six Million Dollar war. Neither one disbanded true, but if that was the only measure of success GATO and GPA would rule the world.
And how good do you think your position would have been had you not gone scurrying into your holes and disbanded? You would have been devastated in the war, and put under terms, one of which would have been a sphere change. You would have been ostracized by the Initiative and it's allies, eventually co-opted by one of the UJW sides and then discarded once the war was over, like many others. Post-war you would have been another GATO or MK, something to be isolated, prodded, and if the chance arose, rolled. Instead you took the easy way out and preserved your nations, and bought your re-existence with offers of help against the UJP. You tied yourself into the power structure, only to deftly switch sides when you saw the writing on the wall, first with Polaris and then with Pacifica. Your history is a pitiful one, playing the role of snake in the grass, and disbanding at the first sign of adversity. The only reason you are in the position you are in today is because you disbanded, and then cried about it incessantly so people would feel sorry for you. Behold the glory of Viridia.
Explain to me then, because all you are saying is "Strawman! Strawman!" when I have no idea what you are referring to. The Orders are all coming in here saying "Oh you are so big and strong attacking Polar with your tiny alliance on the winning side " That is all I see you guys doing, so how does USMC123's statement not match the truth?
Because you are misrepresenting our argument by putting up a shoddy representation of it and then arguing against that. You know, the definition of a strawman. USMC said "ITT Misfit Nations are a bunch of incompetent cowards because they are on the winning side." That's not what we have been saying at all. As I remember, the only comments about their competence were made in relation to Callebaut's claim that they were on the outnumbered side. So no, we're not calling them incompetent for being on the winning side. A lot of the rest of the comments were mocking VE for bringing their protectorate in to a fight where they already outnumber the opposition, or mocking Misfits for their 7 wars declared. So it's pretty easy to see that USMC's statement was far removed from the truth.
 3.
p.s. if NSO and NPO do end up coming in for Polar can we get some "The Orders ride again" propaganda...of them riding right off the cliff
YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
 4.
recognizing superior numbers on the battlefield and making a strategic withdraw is simply sound tactics. We left, we came back, stronger than ever. success is not about the now but about the past and the future. We have both.
AHAHAHA, did you seriously just characterize disbanding your alliance as a 'strategic withdrawal'? Yeah, you guys withdrew so much you withdrew yourselves from existence. And reforming on other people's terms, dictated to you when you sought their approval to return, isn't something I'd be terribly proud of. But I guess anything will do when you're trying to maintain that facade of glorious Viridia, right?
It is what your buddies are arguing though.
No, no it's not. What is this, a two-man strawman tag-team?
 5.
But still more than getting rolled does.
Considering you guys got rolled so hard you had to disband I'm not sure what your point is here.
 6. I was sorely disappointed to find that this thread was lacking the subtitle: 'And you can too!'
 7.
ITT Misfit Nations are a bunch of incompetent cowards because they are on the winning side.
Strawman ahoy!
 8. To be fair, from their performance in Karma it's pretty clear that VE needs all the help they can get, so throwing their 343K NS protectorate into a war where they already outnumber the opposition by a large margin makes perfect sense for those stalwart heroes of Viridia.
 9.
I stopped to quote this post from page 2, without having read the next 3 pages. It's great to have faith, but it's not realistic. I've watched this happen twice now over in admin's other game, Cyber Citizens. I know the outcome. Granted, it seems to be a slower paced decline here due to the larger population. People !@#$%* because we are the ones who care and want to see a rejuvenation of the population and relive the excitement we used to have. But, no, we can't do it alone. The internet is a competitive marketplace, with many new applications since the inception of CN. Not to mention, those other games out there are staffed with teams that constantly update them and look for new ways to keep their games interesting and attractive to newcomers. Whatever his personal reasons, that's not happening here and it WILL see the end of CN. And frankly, for those of us who do care about this game, it pisses us off. Edit: Say what you will, as the argument has been made countless times, but the best way to accelerate activity and fun is to reset the game.
A reset may increase activity and fun in the few hundred that stick around, while the rest leave after having their years old nations deleted.
 10.
It's ok, Banksy. They're used to destroying communities, and I'm sure old habits die hard. We can't expect them to understand something like this. Clearly, there has been great difficulty in grasping it thus far.
Oh dear god. That is one of the worst attempts at a sick burn I've ever seen.
 11.
Your words are as empty as your future, we are the vanguard of your destruction
That's somehow scarier when it comes from a giant, ancient, genocidal machine of death.
 12.
Am I the only person who finds these statements completely pretentious and ridiculous? I mean, I guess it's a good thing he made this topic in a universe that uses a base 10 number system, then.
You're not alone.
 13.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!
Aw. I was hoping for a more Dead Poets vibe. I love happy endings.
Who are you to question and dictate the way we conduct diplomacy? NPO has chosen to cut ties with our diplomats, and that is their prerogative. It is not for you to decide however, when and how we want to contact you, now that you have a need for said MK diplomats to talk to you. You made your bed, etc, etc
You people should learn to read AA's, I'll give you a second to cast your eyes to the left. Moving on, your lot started this little spat with your support of Cager's [OOC]Minecraft[/OOC] stunt. So to say 'you made your bed hurr hurr' is nonsensical. Pacifica closed your embassy, there was no total shutdown of communication with MK like you are trying to portray it. That you are trying to use this situation to force Pacifica to open the one avenue they closed off just highlights your innate childishness.
 14. Seems like an odd addition to me, but congrats.
 15.
Our leadership has responded... NPO threw a fit some time ago, effectively cutting all diplomatic ties between our alliances. If you want your answer, and if you want to handle this the way it should be handled, maybe you should open up our embassy on your forums? Until then, our dear leader Archon has no obligation to answer to the likes of you
...that's the line you're going with? 'We're going to be dicks until you open our embassy '? There are other, far more effective avenues for diplomacy, surely your nation is not so backward that you've never heard of IRC? I fail to see why an open embassy is a prerequisite for diplomacy.
 16.
We in FAN have a history of unnerving those who underestimate us.
Like who?
 17.
I figured that's what you were alluding to. I would contend though that that war was avenged with the Karma War.
Heh, well you would think so. Though I think the problem there is that they didn't fight on the Pacifican front, so they didn't get that same feeling of retribution. They had to take out all that pent-up rage on TPF instead.
 18.
I thought you were in NPO, my apologies. Sir Paul's publication is an official one, and there are plenty of other alliances he could pick. You know as well as I do how CBs work, don't be obtuse.
I was, until recently. As far as I know, no one else but Sir Paul has any input in his pieces, except fulfilling his graphics requests. It's a Sir Paul publication first and foremost, though put out under the Pacifican name. And do you really think any other alliance occupies the same position as MK? I don't just mean in terms of treaties, MK is the poster child for a culture which permeates that entire tangled web of power. Karma was often presented as a clash of cultures, a choice between the Pacifican 'culture of oppression' and the MK-led culture based on freedom and lulz. In that sense, you are obviously the best target for pieces like Sir Paul's. I do, yes, and I also know that if you want a war badly enough there is always a way to get it. There is no hard standard for CB's, without precedent they gain or lose legitimacy based on the public acceptance of it. In general, you have the weight of public opinion behind you, and in global war scenarios you have the preponderance of power. Which leads me to question, in light of your desire to roll them, what exactly is lacking.
I don't mean to intrude here, but out of curiosity what would he be avenging?
You'd have to ask him, though judging by his bitterness since MK and NPO fought in WotC I'd say it relates to that somehow.
 19.
No we aren't obsessed with you like you are with us (see Sir Paul's official publications for evidence), but it's not exactly a secret that we'd love to roll you.
One, I'm not a Pacifican. Two, using Sir Paul's work as some kind of evidence that Pacifica is obsessed with you is ridiculous. He pretty much does his own thing, and due to MK's position at the centre of the vast interlocking web of power we see today, it's hardly surprising that you'd be a target in his publications. And three, so what's the problem? For all your posturing I see very little action on that front, lack of balls preventing your revenge?
 20.
Not quite true, actually.
Oh? I've lost count of the times I've heard 'lol we dont care about NPO they are too irrelevant now lol' from MK. Interesting to see such a 180.
 21.
I doubt many MK members care about or even remember what Slayer99 did. The bigger issue is that your alliance is still an NPO satellite.
And yet most of you say you don't care about Pacifica any more.
 22.
That and the fact he had earlier stated his opinion that the treaty was signed due to the STA fearing being "killed" which implies political expediency. Unfortunately for Chefjoe, most people have the ability take an entire discussion into consideration when making a comment and don't forget what he has posted earlier when replying to his nonsense.
Yeah, I sometimes wonder if he really is that intellectually challenged, or he just thinks we all are and so assumes he can get away with it. Some of the stuff he comes out with is incredible.
 23.
You are clearly projecting things into my post that arent there.....did I mention STA? I said 'others'.....interesting that you put yourself into that catagory though.
Your comment about political expediency, when placed in a thread like this, would imply that you view STA's and/or TPF's actions to be politically expedient. lrn2english
 24. Good to see I didn't effect the score too much.
 25.
or maybe the only lost people is you?
Since when is aggression only aggression if it's on behalf of someone else?
