  1. @MrChaos was the other $2,000,000 so difficult to add?
  2. That would be a bit extreme I think, though a term that demands that certain individuals not be on the same sphere at the same time wouldn't be uncalled for. I doubt the LPCN could continue for much more anyway, but still the White, Aqua, Maroon and Pink spheres could be vulnerable to such a resurgence given Hardin's voter numbers.
  3. I've got to agree with MrChaos here, best thing for a new ruler is to join a somewhat established alliance and learn from the experience. There's no benefit to trying to be leadership straight away, nor is there any to being on a one man AA if you aspire to leadership. To LordJamesruteger: Do you know how to sell tech? How to build a nation? How to defend you nation if it comes under attack? Do you know how to interact with people in other alliances? How foreign affairs works? Do you have a good idea how to set up a trade circle? How to recruit people? How to teach others the skills I have listed above? How to order someone else to send aid or declare war? When I created my current nation nearly 12 months ago now my answer to all of those questions would have been either "sort of" or "yes". But the reality is the correct answer to almost all of those questions was "no" for me. There is a lot to learn about this world, I have been a member of government for 9 months now, I have recruited, mentored, set up trade circles, tech deals, programs to grow nations, requested aid, declared war on a nation with the ability to kick the !@#$ out of mine (lucky for me he surrendered without fighting back!), talked to allies, talked to alliances TTK has never had any contact with, talked to anyone. Most of all I learned that I didn't know how to do the things I thought I could do to start off with, then in most cases I learned them, though there is a lot still to learn. (In this it certainly helped that I was a member of an old alliance with an old forums, meaning everything that had taken place over the last ~6 years was available for me to observe.) My point is there is a lot involved in alliance management, you can't learn it all at once, especially not without a good source of information to learn from. Furthermore the question you should be asking is do you want to? Not only is there a lot of work involved, there is a lot of responsibility as well, even if I'm only a single member of government all the concerns of the AA are present on my mind, because government is responsible for all the rulers and nations on the AA, as well as their allies (to some extent). I like the responsibility, but I don't want to be the one at the top. So my advice to you: Find an alliance to join. Get help with your nation, find tech deals, grow it, get wonders. I hold the belief that if one is not dedicated enough to look after ones own nation they shouldn't be responsible for anyone else's. Be active on the forums, get an idea of how the alliance is run, possibly also hang around the OWF, but I would advise mostly just lurking, posting when you or your allies aren't involved is a bad habit and one I need to kick. If you are getting on well find a path to a role of responsibility in your alliance, could be in milcom, a recruiter, a mentor, diplomat, whatever. Being a councillor or some other representative within an alliance is okay, but don't expect to learn too many new skills that way in most cases. (Many times these jobs are not mutually exclusive, you may well be able to have a role in milcom whilst being a diplomat to several places and mentoring new nations, would depend on the alliance.) If you enjoy it more up the ladder, get more involved, move into different fields. Once you've done all that you may be ready to set up an AA, but make sure you have other active people who might be willing to start it with you though (and be careful that your current alliance won't be pissed if multiple people leave to make a new AA), and make sure you have a good name! I would consider that to be a basic guide, you don't have to follow it exactly, but I think it gives some idea how to get experience and into a good position. ^^^^This!
  4. I was considering trying to fix the layout, but honestly the content is so incomprehensible that it is impossible.
  5. You're already at war with Oculus, and it's not as if VE is giving you any trouble, so why not? Also you've been at war non-stop for like a year now, so well done?
  6. I think it is pretty clear that for all their talk of "exploitation" (regarding SNX, KoRT, et cetera) Animalz member are the ones being exploited by the LPCN leadership for their votes. LPCN is gone, or should be, if anyone identifying as LPCN holds a senate seat this time next month everyone in SNX, GATO and Atlas just needs to shoot themselves in the head. [Mostly OOC] I think this kind of represents the whole problem with people not being willing to take risks in this world and avoiding confrontation between major players, CA is financing rogues at war with a coalition of alliances that include allies of ODN, Umbrella and NPO, as well as other major alliances, this is a clear aggressive act, and yet seemingly everyone in your coalition is happy to ignore it simply because they are protected by NG. Why? Are people scared to hurt their feelings? Are they the biggest AA in the game? Did they start telling other Oculus AAs what to do at some point? As is frequently pointed out the game may not have that much longer left, why ignore such a blatant CB like this? (To be clear this isn't aimed at you or LC specifically, just making it in response to this post because it is the first one to bring this issue up.)[/OOC]
  7. Honestly this seems like poor damage control. Maybe there are OOC issues, and if so I doubt any ruler here wishes any ill upon him, but from where I'm sitting it just seems like his nation is broke and his AA dead whilst his coalition collapses so he quit the game.
  8. Is gravedigging a thing for blogs? I don't know. I do know that most of this came true in the end. It took more than a year and things happened it a strange way, but they happened. The main difference however was that no voter intimidation/movement was required, all that was needed was time for LPCN to decline naturally, Hardin helped it along the way (when Junka inevitably proclaims victory over the LPCN all its sympathisers can blame him) but it was only a matter of time. Also Meth's warchest didn't last months, it was literally like 3 weeks.
  9. This would be a sensible decision, but honestly who are the LPCN anymore? LN is basically gone, Animalz is about but badly beaten, who knows what's going on with MInc Reborn/MInc/MU, leaving mostly just CA (whic has 4 members). Would probably be best just to call it quits. Since LPCN has no forums with a publicly accessible government listing (that I know of) and isn't a single alliance, there is no way for an outsider to verify who is and isn't in charge, Montezuma is just as qualified to speak as you I think.
  10. @Galerion @Alexio15 One of you guys please make a brown team announcement linking to this.
  11. Do read the comments out for us, $%&@ all happens here on Maroon.
  12. Then SNX and Atlas have no reason not to sanction them.
  13. Yeah, I was wondering when you guys would start thinking of that... Personally I wouldn't take the risk, there's still more than enough in that sphere to get a seat even if they lose it, in which case all of brown is in deep !@#$. But that is probably just me being risk averse, if they lose a senate seat they'll have nowhere to run. EDIT: When I posted I hadn't checked the other thread, seems the sanction war has already started.
  14. At that rate it would be $50: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display_improvements_wonders.asp?Nation_ID=585366#Wonders
  15. Europia with 24 wonders is worth that much? Damn I wonder how much this nation would be worth: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=222121
  16. Other than Lord Hitchcock (who is gone) I can't think of a frequent poster other than myself who isn't pre-karma (not saying they aren't around, but just can't think of any off of the top of my head).
  17. Yeah I know, it isn't as if Kindle and RUKUNU have left the fighting coalition, AFAIK they both AA hop a lot, I'm more keeping track of the decline of the AA than anything else. For the nation of Europia I will refrain from making any comment or judgement. Strangely enough Non Grata have accepted Caparo though.
  18. I'm not worried in the slightest, I didn't imagine that they would be forgotten, I just took the time to figure out where they all went and so thought I might as well put a record here.
  19. To give a rundown: President Hardin Left the AA, subsequently booted and banned by Ericsw, now on one man AA. Caparo Fled to Non-Grata AA. Hansansohel Left to "none" Sir Kindle Left to Animalz RUKUNU Left to Animalz Isolatar Defected to SLAP Roal Surrendered Leaving: Ericsw KingNeptune Jonesing WagonWheel Don't think I missed anyone. One thing I will say about them, their aid slot efficiency puts Umbrella to shame; 30 / 24 (125.00%)
  20. This is getting kinda dumb, impossible terms, joking about nation deletion, ridiculous rep demands for a nation that size, et cetera. How about this: Admit defeat and publicly surrender. Delete SDI and Pentagon. Pay ~1,000 tech to the coalition over the next month or so. Agree to NAP with entire coalition/blanket ban on offensive wars for set period. Surely that's reasonable for both?
  21. Dude, I'm sad to tell you this, but we lost, simple as that. They had a lower strength than us combined, they could not have predicted the fairly poor fights our alliances would put up. Personally I had a great fight, I lost 14K NS and did 25K NS in damage, for a ratio of 1.8 (would have been higher if the weakest of my seven opponents had not deleted mid war) but the rest of our coalition really didn't. It seems obvious to me that DCS were largely just better fighters/builders than us. I've not looked at your own battle performance, but from the war between our alliances I recall that it was not particularly impressive.
  22. Doesn't really matter, he has had several months without much fighting, the fact that his warchest wasn't enough to fight properly for 2 whole rounds doesn't show he will be able to recover particularly well, even with help. http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Mash Sigrun and the rest of CA is sending a bit of aid in, which everyone is ignoring, other than that not much aid to go around. Admittedly this world will be duller when these types are all gone, but they had pushed their luck a few too many times it seems.
  23. Roal and Kanabis, the new and improved Junka and Methrage.
