Earlier today, it was announced that the Air Force had purchased its first fighter aircraft, two P-40 Warhawks. The Chief of the Air Force, Peter Summers, stated that now they had the capable of launching offensive operations from the air. Of course, the P-40s themselves would undoubtedly be easily outclassed by the modern fighters employed by many militaries around the world. Unfortunately they, like most of the Military's equipment, were all they had available right now. General Wilcox was heard saying after the announcement, "I pray to God we don't get thrown into a war before we're able to at least acquire 60s jet fighters."
