I think I make around 5M, maybe 6M (at 5k infra). Don't feel like swapping to find out the exact number. I don't think you can say how much a player should make after some time, as most players get in a war sooner or later. That drastically kills growth and can set you back quite a bit.

About the quality over quantity, most alliances that recruiting actively, put quantity somewhat more in favor of quality. The 'elite' alliances don't recruit and let the players find them. You forget that if you get attacked, you're killing soldiers of the enemy. If you nuke, you have also killed the soldiers of a opponent. It's more similar to total casualties.

Talking about flag-runners. I checked the PS vs. Cath/RD war. It's curious that both the PS top nation and Catharsis top nation are completely unharmed(not attacking/or being attacked).
