1. What would happen if an alliance (of say 25 players) changed their alliance name to another alliance of about 50-100 players, and all out attacked one of the top alliances? Would the top alliance most likely blindly attack any player with alliance affiliation? Or only concentrate on those that are actually fighting? Has this ever happened before?
 2. The values provided work, thank you. Question: Are the hotspots the same for Colonies and Mines?
 3. There are community nations, where nations are "owned" by an alliance and build the nation up as meat shield or kamikaze nation for war. You can destroy player target nations with the "dummy" nation, with nothing of value being lost or put into jeopardy. My advice is to stay away from those nations, and don't even think of attacking them for revenge if attacked. You might knock them down to zero, but being a dummy nation, no one on the other side would really notice or care and the nation will be quickly rebuilt with a single aid donation from each player in the alliance.
 4. "If you have it, you can aid it" should be balanced out by, and make greater use of, the existing 'embargo' tactic with ships. Don't want a nation to send out aid or receive aid? Use your fleet to embargo them. Someone sending 3mill is no issue at all. If someone is sending 300mill, then getting your fleet to stop it makes it more interesting.
 5. Alliances are player created, run by a few kids with other users just going along, going through the motions. Good rule of thumb is never expect anything from an alliance, and expect them to be more trouble than they're worth. The only alliances that matter are ones that are populated with your friends. [edit] Or ones that are VERY ideological.
 6. My nation link: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=419938 FYI, I've been dealing in Tech for a long time, and I'm always looking for long term buyers. If you have some aid slots open (and I do too) drop by and buy some Tech. 3mill/50.
 7.
Does anyone have access to this? I am interested in the actual formula for tech costs - regardless of level. Sample use cases would be: cost of tech from 0 to 500, cost of tech from 10,000 to 15,000 (lol ), or 500 to 2000, etc. Please don't bother telling me "why buy tech above 50!?" This is the only meaningful formula for any game mechanic I don't know, so, I'm curious to learn it
A great utility is: http://www.cn-utilities.com/techCalculator.aspx They need you to make an account (pick a user name, and give an email address). Once you have an account, click on the link and calculate. Price of Tech is determined by what resources you have, what improvements you've bought, what wonders you've bought, so only you can know the answer. But for fun, using the utility I linked to, with the best possible combination of resources, improvements, wonders... 0-500 = $18,148,630.48 10k-15k = $5,652,974,997.72 500-2000 = $233,727,350.65.

 10.
Hi all, I know that you hafta have a certain number of tech levels and infra to buy things like air craft. I wanna know, if I have enough tech to buy something like for example an air craft, and then I sell some of my tech, or give them away and go below the 100 required to buy, will I lose the stuff, air craft for example, that I've already bought? How does that work.
No. Once you reach the requirement for something (Soldiers, Improvements, Wonders), buy it, then sell off/lose the requirements, you still get to keep your purchase.
 11. What would Cybernations look like in 30days if today the aid limit was done away with? Aid slot limits and 10 day restrictions are still in place though. How would it impact players (big and small), alliances, and wars? No money limit, not tech limit, not soldier limit. If a nation has it, it can aid it. Bigger tech deals for one - smaller players growing much faster.
 12. Issues raised...
Why would we want to attack our colour team-mates?
Not all similar Colours are allies or friends. Colours will represent "regions", and if all blues want to be friends or foe, so be it. Similar Colour Players are the ones that can attack each other with ground units. If you want to attack a player in the adjacent Colour scheme (region) you need a more developed military to get there - navy and air force.
I think you would be better off and it might be better received if you focused establishing elements that can modify combat based on team color of the nations involved. The real object is adding gameplay not just realism.
Option #2 is intended for this. If a player wants to attack a player of a different Team Colour with purely ground units, fine, nothing changes. I went over this though, if they're using ground units then there's going to be some sort of penalty or bonus. Colours will add more weight in making decisions, expanding not only from Economic ties (Trade happiness bonuses) but Military ones as well. Team colour spheres to negotiate with one another, getting one Dominate Alliance Colour Sphere to attack another Dominate Alliance Colour Sphere because they're in a better position to.
 13.
Well it doesn't make sense to me but anyway are you considering the fact that players can choose whatever colour they want any time?
1. What doesn't make sense to you? 2. To implement this idea, players can't their Team Colour during war. The game mechanic still stays the same. Getting more use out of Team Colours and the added realism is still there.
 14.
I thought your aid slot expired 10 days after offered, not when accepted.
Well, I hope that's the case. But yes, it causes a backlog if someone accepts days later, and you get caught with 0 tech.
