  1. Bashir brought his guest a glass of water before responding. "The start was actually fairly easy, alone we struggled but by coming together we found ourselves stronger than we could ever imagine. It's not easy now, what with the various political powers residing in one country with such power. But we have always found a way to keep things relatively civil and orderly."
  2. "I am honored, truly" Bashir also taking in the harsh heat began to walk toward a motorcade outside the airport, "If you'll follow me, we can escape this heat". As the Prime Minister and the ambassador entered a limousine they would head toward the Kuwaiti exchange building. On arrival they would be taken to a large conference room reserved for the meeting. Bashir would show his guest her seat while he walked over to his chair, "Is there anything we can get you? we have several refreshments on hand"
  3. WAR! The Spanish Empire was exercising its full might against a foe across the Atlantic, yet the casualties were stacking up. Factories began pumping out munitions and recruitment camps across the empire reloaded the Imperial infantry with troops for the war effort. The big issue however was getting Panzer tanks out and rolling from factories, this issue coupled with the brewster being a questionable fightercraft and the slow production of naval ships pushed the Imperials into total war mode. First the Spanish needed a fighter craft that could contend with the CSA on even grounds, Construction of Grumman F4F Wildcats were put into production in Portugal with a plan to have them replace Brewster fighters in the next three years. Panzer II tanks were now being built in automobile plants producing replacements lost in Florida slowly but surely. Finally Gibraltar reported a new battleship constructed and began work on several new cruisers, unemployment is at an all time low as Spanish citizens work 7 days a week up to 12 hours in war production plants. Meanwhile, Inquisition forces have arrested over 3,000 suspected socialist supporters along with anyone believed to support the old republic and placed them in labor camps. These suspects are usually tied and convicted on the spot of being arrested and sentenced to life in labor for the state. (Greater Bermuda) 1/7 Spanish troops and ships had already overrun the islands establishing a makeshift base of operations to war against the CSA, Imperial forces began building stockades filled with food and supplies for Spanish ships heading Westward. bunkers and machine gun nests cropped up along the beach and work began on airstrips to bring in heavy bombers to strike the coastline. Spanish subs made use of Hamilton port to restock and rest before returning out on patrol tightening the Empire's grip on the Atlantic. With Hamilton's government unable to protest the occupation, it seemed that Spain would now expand across the Atlantic without resistance. Greater Azores 1/7 Plans to take Azores had been in Mendoza's vision for the Empire long before war in America broke out, Imperial agents infiltrating the islands began influencing the local population to take interest in becoming part of the Spanish Empire. With only a handful against the idea the Azores Contra party was founded, Ponta Delgada's government had become independent from Portugal prior to it becoming part other Empire and seeing what has become of other territories joining the Spanish has protested the Contra's presence asking them to leave. Contra agents have begun influencing members of the military into joining their cause due to the similarities of Azores current situation to that of Spain's almost a decade ago. The underpaid, outdated and morale stricken troops that defend the island have so far ignored the government's orders to remove the political party. The underpaid and understaffed Azores military
  4. The Iraqi Republic recognizes Ukraine.
  5. Iraq has begun internal investigations into rising rumors of religious zealots plotting to wage a war of insurgency against the republic. According to military intel the group is demanding the Iraqi republic becomes an Islamic Republic and force Usbara out of office. Public news outlets have been told the group has little to no power or influence. (Classified) Iraqi military agents are infiltrating this organization and identifying its leaders for elimination. ------------ In other news Iraqi oil companies are posting lower numbers than usual due to the California republic's collapse, California was a large buyer of Iraqi oil and now several companies are pushing the government to find a new buyer quickly as tankers filled with oil sit in Kuwait city harbor.
  6. At Bermuda the Imperial fleet gathered its strength and began bearing toward Jacksonville to support the forces there, Spanish subs spread out beginning a campaign of terror against the CSA fleet targeting everything flying Communist colors. Aircraft carriers received fresh pilots and fighter craft including much needed B4-Y bombers. Several Spanish pilots became aces during the battle of Cuba and were looking to add more red stars to their brewster aircraft. Spain sent the bulk of the fleet to Jacksonville and 10 destroyers, 2 battleships and a carrier to attack Myrtle beach to send the Communist a message, we can attack your people. The fighting in Cuba quickly turned desperate, outnumbered, outgunned and severely overpowered Spanish troops began falling back into the countryside leaving the beach to the American forces. Snipers and hidden traps would hinder American troops attempting to pursue. Spanish command at Havana began rethinking outright defending the city and fighting guerrilla warfare until help arrives. Spanish troops were inflicted heavy losses by naval guns and American infantry having superior firearms, MP-18 submachine guns, MG34 nests and rifle squads however still proved deadly and effective in open combat as the dwindling defenders held on either to die or fight a glorious defense for the empire. Over 234 Spanish troops were killed in the battle for Cuba's beaches. After the first devastating artillery strike the Imperials were ready for another, as American forces approached the city the fires of hell greeted them as tracer bullets from various machine gun nests roared at them. The Kar-98 once again was hopelessly useless in one on one fighting against the CSA but the Spanish had brought their MP-18 and Model 38 submachine guns making the fighting leveled on some part. American forces broke the Western blockade with armored support forcing the Spanish to fall back losing a chunk of the city. However Panzers rolled forward halting the advance and keeping them from pushing into the city any further. The tenacity of the city's defenders was overzealous as Spanish troops fought to a bloody bitter stalemate. Over 398 Imperial troops died in the initial assault and 276 died from ongoing firefights from within the city. After the attack on Lake City the Spanish linked up a total 205,000 troops left from the Lake City and Eastward march began heading toward Jacksonville to flank and attack the american forces. 13,000 troops would stay in Lake City to slow down the enemy forces approaching and to make sure it never fell to enemy hands intact. The defenders with their remaining 14 Panzer tanks would set up ambush points and choke points forcing the Americans into two points of access into the city leading them directly into enemy fire. Casualties Lake City lost 1,001 men to the assault and air strikes. 9 Panzer tanks were lost due to poor location during the attack. 674 Spanish troops died in the battle of Jacksonville mostly from artillery strikes and infantry fighting. 234 Spanish troops dead in Cuba
  7. Given the severe delay from the other Arabian diplomats, Ajay Bashir would arrive in Kuwait city to takeover the meeting. "Apologies Ms Mitsuki, I'm afraid the other representatives have been delayed. I am Ajay Bashir, elected Prime Minister of Iraq and Kuwait, honored representative of the Arabian nation."
  8. Iraq poses itself as military power as rumors mount that further expansion across the Middle East are on the rise, the Iraqi military has begun heavy recruitment throughout the territories and is encouraging those outside the Republic's borders to join what politicians in Baghdad are calling a unification movement. Iraq entered the computer market as Arabia Telecorps unveiled the AT-14 desktop computer, an efficient and cheap computer being massed produced in new factories in Kuwait and Basrah Iraq. Arabia Telecorps plans to ship these computers across the globe at prices lower than most competitors. The computer has produced hundreds of jobs in production and customer service.
  9. News from Iraq and Kuwait Negotiations have concluded with strikers working in arms facilities outside of Baghdad. Increased wages and more holidays were given to workers on the terms that individual workers sign a five year contract for employment. Automakers are pushing for a new car concept that would be cheap for Arabian citizens and fuel efficient to compete with leading automobile companies.
  10. Syria is now part of the Iraqi republic
  11. (7/7) beaten and broken the Syrian forces surrendered to the Iraqi republic. The Iraqi military detained and processed what remained of the Syrian militia into prison camps. The Iraqi Senate celebrated the victory as Syria finally became an official province of the republic and officially ending the pointless conflict.
  12. Usbara couldn't hold back the curling smile overtaking his face. "I think that would be more than acceptable"
  13. (6/7) The Iraqi senate has permanently suspended Syrian senators and instated replacements more loyal to the republic. The Iraqi military has secured the Southern and Western regions of Syria preparing for a final assault the remaining militia held territories. Several hundred cruise missile strikes and aerial bombardments have crippled the Syrian defenses in and around Tall Tamr as ground forces begin their advancement. Syrian senator Fulani Basir called the sudden military action a clear betrayal of the Syrian people and pleaded for the Iraqi military to cease what he called a clear invasion of the territory. A total of 13,000 Syrian civilians have been arrested in connection to supporting the militia forces or being aligned with terror cells. (Classified) A group of civilians began protesting in Damascus over Iraqi military actions in Syria and were immediately met with gunfire from Iraqi troops. Iraqi troops pursued the fleeing protesters firing into the crowd and slaughtering over 104 people. A good 45 were caught and arrested, the government has so far done its best to cover up the incident including killing the 45 prisoners and burying them in a mass grave outside the city. News stations reported that protesters had fired on the soldiers forcing them to defend themselves. The Iraqi senate now whole again with the addition of new representatives from Syria has placed increased emphasis on crushing the Syrian militia forces and establishing Syria as a province of the Republic. Heavy taxation on the Syrian people is expected to pay for the damages of the conflict.
  14. Imperial Personal File Admiral Antonio Juarez Occupation: Admiral of the Spanish Imperial fleet Born to a traditionalist family living near the Portuguese border, Juarez joined the Republic navy serving on the ISS De Soto. When the civil war broke out most of the navy defected to the rebels as most of the personal were already underpaid and some sailors going months without pay due to the financially broken republic. Juarez became a captain of the destroyer ISS Drago and led Contra forces to swift victories along the African coast against loyalist forces remaining in the fleet. Mendoza named him Admiral of the Spanish fleet after the civil war giving him control over the entire fleet. Juarez pushed and rebuilt the Imperial fleet into a formidable force stretching patrols far across the Atlantic securing trade routes, Juarez eventually became involved in the first Cuban crisis where his fleet was deployed to Cuba to support uprisings wanting Spanish annexation, when Spanish forces left Juarez was quoted by some of his officers to be relieved as the spanish navy wasn't ready for all out war. Years later he was once again heading toward Cuba as war broke out between the Spanish Empire and CSA. Alfred Mendoza Occupation: General of 4th Spanish army, member of the Contra Party, heir to the Imperial throne While the Spanish empire knows well of Carlos Mendoza and his rise to become Emperor of a powerful fascist state, almost no one knows of the heir to the Empire his cousin Alfred Mendoza. Alfred was born to a wealthier family living in Madrid and didn't become involved with the Contra rebellion until Carlos was tortured and left for dead. Alfred was a renown tactician and brutal soldier during the civil war, his most infamous incident was ordering the execution of over 2,000 captured Republican troops after the battle of Salamanca. After the civil war he was given command of the 4th army and direct responsibility for the Spanish mainland's defense. He was appointed heir to the Imperial throne up until one of Carlos Mendoza's sons becomes of age, ever since then Alfred has become recluse and hard to come in contact with. The only person that can make conversation with him at a whim is of course his Emperor cousin, other than that only officers within the Imperial army have seen him. Alfred Mendoza now spends his days coordinating with the war effort and hunting down anyone who might be plotting against the Empire within Spain and Portugal. It is rumored that he has a wife and three sons living in Lisbon and keeps outsiders from knowing about them fearing they would be targeted.
  15. Admiral Juarez was left with little choice, sacrificing the Imperial fleet was out of the question and began withdrawing his fleet. All brewster fighters were equipped and deployed launching a mass assault on enemy aircraft. Battleships and destroyers unleashed a full barrage of long range fire on the American fleet making it appear as if the Spanish were launching another assault. The reality was Imperial subs were in full retreat unloading the last of their mines between the Spanish and American ships. Cruisers would make a break for it back into Spanish lines abandoning the assault and dropping depth charges against enemy subs, the plan would be to regroup with the rest of the Spanish fleet at Bermuda and commit a full war effort against the CSA. Mendoza receiving this news practically condemned Juarez should he fail to make the Communist pay. As American troops landed on Cuba they would be met with a nightmare scenario of snipers, hidden MG34 nests and various mines, spike pits and traps. The 10,000 Imperial troops would bleed out the CSA forces for every inch of land of what they rightfully believed to be part of their empire. In Florida the bombing and artillery strikes would inflict losses on the Imperials in both Jacksonville and Lake City. However Jacksonville would remain Spanish as Imperial forces continued to dig in and fire back at whatever Communist forces approached. If the CSA resorted to cowardly tactics of shelling the city again, the Imperials would go on the offensive and buy time for reinforcements to arrive. Lake city however became a desperate battle as Spanish forces fought desperately for their survival. They would fall back into the city setting up defensive perimeters with their remaining tanks and troops. The reinforcements returning from West Florida would link up with the remaining Lake city defenders and march East toward Jacksonville. Meanwhile the Palm Coast force almost unopposed ransacked the coastline heading toward Jacksonville seizing Saint Augustine as a port and collecting reservation prisoners along the way replacing them with the native population. Spanish transport ships carrying 400 artillery pieces, anti-aircraft guns and 250 BF-109 fighters left port from Portugal for Saint Augustine along with the remaining Spanish fleet. The war was only beginning. Casualties in the Caribbean 14 brewster fighters 2 destroyers sank by American submarines 78 spanish troops in Cuba Casualties in Florida Jacksonville 575 troops killed in artillery and bomardments 14 Panzers destroyed Remaining: 179,425 troops and 126 Panzers Lake city 345 troops killed 12 Panzers destroyed Remaining group: 44,655 and 23 Panzers
  16. Implementing a penalty on members playing ig on neutral alliances would help.
  17. (5/7) The Iraqi army has increased its attacks on Syrian forces crushing resistance near Tadmur, over 1,400 militia rallied to stop Iraqi forces from advancing but were overwhelmed and crushed quickly. In a desperate attempt to stave off Iraqi advancement the largest collection of Syrian forces assembled near Sab Abar, over 15,000 Syrians armed heavily and dug in trenches around the area however were slaughtered by aerial strikes and armored support. The city of Sab Abar was obliterated with almost all the civilians killed by crossfire. In what has been the bloodiest battle during the Iraqi takeover of Syria, many are shocked at the quick and violent behavior displayed by the Republic. Iraqi forces are now purging through the Syrian countryside for remnants of Syria's broken militia forces. Many are fleeing North to Tall Tamr one of the last Syrian towns not under republic control. Syrian tank in flames among the ruins of Sab Abar, civilian casualties are horrendously high.

  19. "Excellent, i'll arrange the paperwork for the PIAT and we should begin shipping as soon as the first payment is billed to the Arabian oil company."
  20. (4/7) With further stalling brought upon by Syrian militants opposing the annexation, the Iraqi Republic has run out of patience. Several airstrikes were launched with over 450 arrests made with anyone believed to be involved with the old Syrian militia. Syrian senators have been suspended and Iraqi troops have seized Damascus and most of Eastern Syria. Iraqi forces have launched a nation wide crackdown on the Syrian militia crippling it with airstrikes across Syria
  21. Usbara gave a dry laugh, "No country, none, is completely unified. I have Kuwaiti who believe they'll fare better without our protection. Islamic radicals who want me to implement Sharia law, separatist along the West and then I have the lovely Kurds who supported our republic but now talk about a Kurdistan pfft. But we keep order through a long complicated system that we in the business that we both involve ourselves in call...democracy" Usbara walked across the room taking a sip of coffee letting his guest take in his monologue, "I remind the Kuwaiti the strength of our military, I let the radicals know they should be happy to even practice that ancient religion, I pay off the separatist with oil money and I let the Kurds have more weight in the senate than they should. That Mr. Rangval is why this republic is the most successful of its kind in a country such as this. But I do apologize, what brings the Rike here?"
  22. Mendoza took a long swill of cognac he had acquired since Miss Zimmerman left, "New Orleans, our agents report it's a smugglers den run by outlaws and mercenaries. I assume this will allow your forces a place in the South."
  23. Mendoza snapped his fingers and a servant would guide Zimmerman to radio station outside the palace.
