  1. The Brewster fighters readjusted and launched assaults on the the enemy aerial squadron, 10 destroyers would break forward providing support for the squadrons opening fire on the American fighters. With anti air defenses pummeling the first few aircraft and slowing the attack down, Imperial subs began an all out aggressive attack on the fleet. While their attacks would either severely damage or make the anti air fire subside, the sub fleet was now exposed. The Spanish battleships continued their assault now backed up with the remaining cruisers and destroyers, with Cuba within reach the Imperial fleet began relaying orders for transports at the canary islands. Over 150,000 reinforcements departed for Cuba, set to arrive in the next day. With the war reaching into Florida and the South eastern tribes now slaughtering each other, Spanish troops quickly smashed through to seize Jacksonville relaying the remaining invasion force sent to war with the tribes to land and begin a foothold over Florida. Orders to cut off American troops entering Florida had Spanish troops marching out west to secure Lake City. Ambushes from tribesmen still fighting slowed Imperial advancement but without key leadership the tribes were helplessly overrun. Spanish losses 12 brewster fighters 2 cruisers 156 troops seizing Jacksonville. Over 400,000 Spanish troops have landed in Jacksonville part of the Florida invasion. Jacksonville is currently occupied. Five battleships and ten destroyers with Spanish reinforcements up to 90,000 troops and 400 tankettes bound toward Cuba.
  2. The quote that sent us all to external darkness and despair
  3. The officer poured himself a cup of black coffee, "Right to the point, my name is Tyrell Montoya, I am major of this regiment and commander of over a thousand of his majesty Emperor Mendoza's forces. We have come to the conclusion that while the continued slaughter of our forces is perfectly acceptable as we are a people of war and pride, we must also take note of a very curious advantage we both find ourselves in." He took a sip of the coffee before proceeding, "Now let me be clear, what your people did, unforgivable if not most nations would not sit if you and even discuss such but that being said...the Contra party is full of...boastful fools. So we believe this war has gone on long enough at least between our two nations. We merely ask for peace and of course the ending of all hostilities, we leave Florida you can proclaim victory. It does not matter." A moment of time would pass before Montoya would start again, "Then there's the proposal, straight from Madrid. You have neighbor to the North, one we would like to see burn and one that holds lands that rightfully belong to your people. If the tribes were willing to say, wage war on them then the Empire will supply your nation with weapons needed to meet them. I imagine a few Panzer tanks would make your warriors stronger. But that's if you're interested in such things, we feel even if you don't at some point the Communist will spread down here, their kind always do."
  4. The chieftain would be taken almost a mile into a Spanish camp, there he would see Imperial tanks and troops rushing to the river Spanish resolve to fight was still very much alive. As he entered the tent a single man would be in it, dressed in a grey uniform. He pointed to a fold out chair by the table centered in the tent, "Please have seat, I have coffee, tea or water if you'd like. Despite our situation, my status as an officer in this grande army will not stained by refusing a guest minor comfort"
  5. Initially the Brewsters were overwhelmed as the lack of armor tore the fighters apart, the squadron assigned to strike with torpedoes was obliterated. However they quickly began matching their opponents, lack of major aerial warfare meant both sides were on equal footing in terms of combat. The next wave of fighters were ordered to carry less fuel and no bombs and torpedoes to increase speed. The Imperial fleet launched another strike on the blockade, this time it would not wavier. The battleships began laying down heavy fire on the enemy fleet while destroyers covered the remaining cruisers clearing out the last of the mines finally leaving only American ships between Spanish ships and Cuba. Admiral Juarez requested reinforcements from the Canary islands and it would take a day for five more battleships and ten destroyers escorting 15 transports filled with troops and supplies. Subs near Florida began firing torpedoes and unloading even more mines into the water creating a highly hazardous battlefield. The ISS Fernandez near the Western edge of Florida had picked up an unfortunate signal on radar, a large American fleet inbound to reinforce the blockade. Using morse coded transmissions in Moorish Admiral Juarez orders his subs to pull off and harass the oncoming fleet to lay mines and ambush them, specifically targeting what looks like troops and supplies transports Imperial subs continue harassing the blockade and laying mines in American waters. In the fighting the Spanish naval airforce took heavy losses, but fleet admiral Juarez managed to save more ships during the second assault, he would take Cuba or die trying. Spanish casualties 14 Brewster Buffalos 1 cruiser Journal from Spanish pilot Johnathon Orlez "We lost three fighters almost immediately to the enemy, I saw a man I went the Imperial academy with simply turned into red mist in his cab as a canon shell ripped into his fighter and eviscerated his body. At that point we realized what the BF-109 pilots at home meant by 'Flying caskets'. Your survival instincts kick in and at that point we just fought them off as much as we could, the only advantage we had was the small size of our aircraft and the speed. Then I found out something once I tore into my first kill, they had no armor either. We must have been up there for hours but at the end of it most of the squadron came back, out officers blew us over telling us while we were busy fighting enemy fighters the attack group heading for the fleet was destroyed. Utterly overwhelmed, I just told my mechanic 'less fuel, I gotta fly faster than him!' went back up and caught me two more !@#$%^&*. As I sit here waiting for my third deployment, I watch three little red stars get added to my fuselage. I can't describe it, I want more, its terrifying, they have more firepower and if you relent just a little that yankee will be right behind you tearing the plane up, hell a single shot tears the little casket up. But when you fill the little !@#$ full of lead and watch it plummet into the gulf...well...its a rush. And I need more." Given little time, Spanish troops already on Cuba have fortified Havana, dug a network of tunnels throughout the Central jungle and placed mines across the Northern beaches along with barb wire, spike pits, wooden tip bombs and several snipers hidden in trees and brush to kill officers and medics. In case of landing on the Southern side or anywhere else the Americans would be met by hidden bunkers and trench networks hidden by tree lines and a system of communication by using Cuban radio stations gives the Spanish a tactic advantage as scouts along the beach keep an eye on the battle near the blockade and for American ships. Large scale propaganda warning of American troops coming to enslave the Cuban people and rape their women have made several push themselves into doing everything from odd jobs, sweat shop work and even acting as spies for possible agents in Cuba.
  6. Spainish casualties 4 destroyers 12 cruisers 1 el cid battleship disabled and scuttled 20 transports
  7. Syria (3/7) Several Syrian bases now fly Iraqi flags as checkpoints throughout the country are established. Currency exchange offices bring the grim reality for several Syrians as their old currency is worth little to nothing compared to the fattened Iraqi dollar. Several Oil companies are rushing into the country buying out local wells and giving Iraq another source of oil to enrich the country's growing economy. Iraqi diplomat and senator of the Al Anbar region Josef Ajam flew out to Cascadia to discuss the potential future between Iraq and Cascadia.
  8. Telegram from Atlantic beach, to Native Jacksonville "Our commanders wish to convene a meeting. Due to the nature of this conflict it must be held on the Spanish side of the Tolomato river."
  9. The Empire was now once again embroiled in another war in the New World. This time against Communist parasites. Mendoza has declared that the Communist States of America are eternal enemies of the Empire and that they shall pay for spilling innocent blood at the massacre of Cuba depicting the sinking of over 20 transport ships as the reason for the war. Unlike the war in Florida which had many Spanish citizens on the fence, this attack sent the nation into a frenzy millions of Imperial citizens across the empire signed up for reserve duty and work in military production plants. The rest of the Imperial navy resting off the coast of Gibraltar and the Canary Islands began deployment across the Atlantic effectively hunting down any ships heading into North america specifically the Southern States. The remaining Spanish sub fleet would hunt down civilian merchant ships of the CSA and sink them, no one would be spared. Mendoza also enlisted a special task force to hunt down communist sympathizers in his country as well as spies, The Second Spanish Inquisition was underway as black clothed agents of Mendoza began arresting anyone believed to be a supporter of the communists.
  10. Imperial Brewster Buffalos launched from carriers would begin scouting and hunting missions across the battleground, some armed with torpedoes and small bombs and ordered to take out any American aircraft carriers they could find. Cruisers found the fire coming from the American fleet too much and fell back, the four Battleships and 10 destroyers fleet opening their guns on the Georgia and Lexington to destroy them and give the cruisers a chance to fall back. Spanish forces on Cuba have erected beachhead defenses and ambush points across the island, cut off from the empire they have begun using the Cuban population to feed their troops raiding farms and forcing heavy taxes as well as forces some of them to fight.
  11. Seriously? I don't think so. We'll let the rp community decide if I can use it or not since you'll just cry abuse of power if I decide to let the GM's handle it. Ie me.
  12. Tolomato River All hell broke loose following the assault on the river, Spanish tanks were the only thing keeping the Imperials in the fight and antitank guns and artillery were killing Panzers fast. Not willing to sacrifice the Panzers, mass infantry waves engaged the natives using everything at their disposal. With heavy losses they managed to overwhelm the natives. Remaining Panzers demolished machine gun nests and slaughtered the natives trying to hold their ground, Spanish forces had finally accomplished the difficult task of crossing the river but it came at a terrible cost. 50 Panzer tanks were destroyed and 24,000 troops were lying dead in the river. Fort George Imperial forces got hit hard, Panzers were immediately wrecked and ordered to fall back as the massive assault laid siege to the Spanish. Infantry dug in getting behind cover and setting tanks apart to prevent heavy losses by antitank fire. Natives practically overwhelmed forward defenses with sheer numbers, as they approached the resort however several MG34's and mortar rounds began cutting down the advancement. After a bitter bloodbath the Spanish managed to hold their ground but lost valuable armor support and ground needed to counterattack. Palm Coast As soon as the Landing force landed the natives began their attack, surprising Spanish troops with the sudden attack. Out in the open the body count rose quickly, Tankettes gave Imperial troops a huge advantage dropping natives quickly with MG32 mounts. However during the fighting Spanish forces failed to find proper cover and to fall back leaving the landing force out in the open.
  13. I'll edit the fleet information in today when I can, as for annexation I have 10,000 troops that have been in Cuba rping out th annexation unopposed for the majority of the annexation period. I mean argue all you want but I'm standing my ground on it, otherwise shorten the annexation period because this did frustrate me. Last day and you can contest? whatever.
  14. Syria (2/7) The process of making Syrian lands part of the Iraqi republic was far more complicated than thought. Many Syrians did not see eye to eye with their government wanting membership in the rising middle eastern power. In a display of power several tank divisions patrolled through Damascus showing the annexation was happening one way or another. Iraq sent offers of extensive oil trade to cascadia and Australia in an attempt to corner the market in the Pacific.
  15. Imperial diplomats led by Antonio Mendoza nephew to the emperor Mendoza and heir to the Spanish empire would arrive in England to meet with the new English government. Cuba (6/7) With several former Cuban government officials signing the espana Concorde of Cuba Spain's takeover was completed. Spanish troops on the island began work on several military bases and critical airfields. However a new threat had arrived from socialist from the mainland. Conscription on the war weary Cuban population was ordered and 10,000 defenders began digging in to defend the empire's new province.
  16. As the transport fleet lay in a sea of fire and death the imperial fleet approached and opened fire through the black smoke. Battleships and destroyers engaged with long range fire while cruisers begin disabling the mines after a destroyer struck a one sinking it immediately. Imperial aircraft carriers near Jacksonville were ordered south to deploy fighter support. Imperial subs around the Cuban and south Florida coast began wrecking American ships in range and escorting carriers from Jacksonville. 25 Subs between Northern Cuba and the Eastern Florida coastline 10 battleships based on the bismarck design (El Cid class warships bearing down on your blockade) 30 cruisers bearing down on the blockade 20 Destroyers 2 Aircraft Carriers off the Florida coast with full complement of BF-109 fighter squadrons.
  17. With the soviet dogs blockading Spanish land, the transport ships were ordered to proceed forward with orders not to stop. The Spanish battle group off the coast of Jacksonville left only a five cruisers and the carriers and sailed for Cuba. These Soviet scoundrels would not interfere with supplies and would be pushed to fire the first shots exposing them as the aggressive mad mob they are. Spanish subs began extensive patrols along the Eastern coast of Florida and Cuba orders to sink any socialist ships when they fired on Imperial transports or warships were given along with keeping out of sight and under the surface.
  18. Cuba (6/7) Reinforcements were not coming, the defenders of las tunas were finally broken after days of fighting. Thousands lie dead in what has been the bloodiest battle of the Cuban war. Spainish forces wasted no time in launching an inquisition hunting down any supporters of the old Cuban government and eradicating them. Rebels were integrated into the imperial military and Spanish flags flew across the island. The take over was nearly complete, work on several airfields commenced and imperial transport ships bringing in military supplies, heavy bombers and officials needed to rebuild the island. Pockets of resistance remained, but the war had practically ended. Spanish citizens celebrated the defeat of old Cuba and hope for another victory in Florida soon.
  19. Iraq is enjoying an economic boom, oil trade has made owners of oil companies into billionaires and the given the people wealth. Cities like Baghdad enjoy commerce that rivals that of major western cities while Kuwait city becomes the Middle East's biggest trading port. With gas practically free in the country cars have flooded the streets and highways of the republic. BMW, Mercedes, and Kia have made billions and establish branches specifically in the Iraqi Republic. Iraqi entrepreneurs leap at the chance to buy in even more wealth by purchasing stocks in foreign companies and creating new ones like Arabia Telecorps the fastest growing company in Iraq. The Iraqi Republic is on its way to becoming one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Syria (1/7) Iraqi troops cross into Syria meeting with Syrian militia to establish order in the territory. Elections for Syrian members of the senate are held and Iraq wastes no time in securing valued areas such as Damascus and the numerous ports leading into the Mediterranean. Syrian troops are being integrated into the army but reports of a resistance movement are growing as several religious extremists protest the expansion of the Iraqi Republic.
  20. Cuba (5/7) Las Tunas still flies a loyalist flag but the town is a ravaged war zone between rebels and those who fight for a free Cuba. Spanish forces have restricted themselves to a support role letting rebels do most of the fighting. Alfonso Imani has been named the governor of Cuba in the service of the empire and has already set up his headquarters in Havana. Plans to expand military bases across the island are being discussed. Spanish citizens continue to have a quiet opinion of the ongoing war in Florida, the war for the most part has been nothing more than an excuse to push recruitment for the Imperial army encouraging citizens across the empire to join up. Several African citizens are offered full citizenship if they join along with 5,000 pesetas for their families. Governors in the African territories received 54 million Pesetas to build new water treatment plants and power plants.
  21. A black BMW would pick up Rangval and drive him to the Presidential palace. There Usbara would be waiting, "Welcome to the Iraqi Republic Mr. Rangval, I hope your trip was well".
