  1. Even the first Browncoats did it. Bet people didn't see that coming! ZING! And, considering I know who supported it when that was happening, I can almost bet I know 100 other alliances that do. Not all alliances do, but like CH says here, a very significant number do.
  2. In an attempt to go where no man has gone before, my and my crappy 17in monitor opened up googlegooglegooglegoogle.com. What we found was an awesome tool. We decided to try and break my computer, loading up googlegooglegooglegoogle.com in each of the four windows. Alas, my computer did not break (whilst running all my other programs, of course). So, I then opened up a third string of googlegooglegooglegoogle.com's. I found that it was impossible for me and my 17in monitor to go further, for what we found was so awful that only a picture could describe it: Yes, I did leave two of the boxes open to the old googlegooglegooglegoogle making some of them only 4x4x's, but, that puts a little perspective on the size. In case you can't see it due to reduction, all you can see is about... a half a cm tall box containing, well... google! That'd be a nightmare to look through.
  3. I'd ask Gino to double check, however I was on an old gaming forum with him and I remember him talking about how he found this game and made an alliance on it, so it was probably his first alliance.
  4. I am going to list the 2nd Browncoats family tree (or in essence as close as I can recall to it). It's a long family tree, however I can date it back to 2006, so, this will be a good one for future reference. I hope that this semi-long list of alliances dating back to mid/late september of '06 helps you in your quest for CyberNations Geneology.
  5. Ah how times have changed... It used to be you could expect a great war every few months, but alas, that is not so anymore. Also, Hal's Rule #5 comes to mind here... Always better when you started playing... specifically when you learned you knew how to play.
  6. Pursue your dreams mate, just remember though, that you might not get the large support the others do because 1: they are already well established and have many of the people that would join an alliance with that theme, and 2: you'd be new, and while that's not necessarily a bad thing, it'll be tough at first. I'd say pursue your dreams if you can. Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you land amongst the stars.
  7. I think that the problem here is, they did have a treaty (that while M*A*S*H had no record of, technically wasn't cancelled), which would be putting your allies in bad spots. Also, that Londo back-pedelled faster than an olympic athlete trying to go for an outrageous goal of fastest backwards biker, and that Athens decried the same actions they partook of here with this "raid." Also the fact that many do not consider this a raid, but simply a war, that had no CB and also could have possibly put your allies in a bad spot. Basically the problem was/is, people disagree with this action in general, and Athens and FoB are like "we can do what we want, if you hate it you should do something about it" until gov't later came out and said "We're sorry, but you're all dishonourable for hating our raid."
  8. Browncoats are your friends. We vote for Victory and Freedom.
  9. You and KPCurly have officially won this thread. Congrats. Also hi hyperion, first nation you linked to was mine being raided. Slighty funny, but odd nonetheless.
  10. >_> I don't appreciate being brought into this! DESPICABLE I SAY! Also, we resolved ours in our own way.
  11. Revisionism will never be a thing of the past, as long as there is a past to revise.
  12. Yes, they are both all those things (though I don't think I ever said they weren't, nor did I ever say they had anything to do with morality), and yes I do acknowledge the existence of tech raiding, and it is in people's ability to tech raid. However I don't tolerate it, and try to stop it when I can. Nobody in my alliance as of yet has tech-raided, and I am pleased by that and will try to keep it that way. Also, you say that mine is an empty statement, then you obviously don't know me, however, and I could be wrong as I don't know you, your's are just as empty as you considered mine to be, so thank you for your statements and many lulz because it was fun.
  13. It is different, not in the right that gives them the ability to do it, but the action. It's like comparing someone going insane and killing someone, to someone who plans a string of murders with their friends and kills a neighborhood. They have the same ability to do that damage, however one goes the extra mile in doing so. THAT'S the difference. Mate, I care more than you know. However what you don't know is I care more for my friends and allies than I do my own personal vendettas. They have not expressed a wish to get involved in any way, and so I will not get involved more than the words I type on these forums. Out of respect for them, and their right to not get their @#$% kicked because I want to go bat-!@#$ on someone, I won't do that.
  14. They tolerate raids of a different kind. Most people wouldn't consider this a simple tech raid, it's more of an alliance-wide tech. war for financial gain. There's a difference.
  15. Very few times am I able to agree with Bob Janova on such a large level. I have always found him a good person to listen to, even if I don't agree with him though, because he always thinks things through. What Athens did here is horrifying. It was and is hypocrisy. There is no other word for it. When Athens joined in the fight with Karma I thought highly of them, and now I know I was wrong to do so. They aren't a good alliance, they aren't one I'd like to treaty with. They are just as bad as the Hegemony was in it's hay-day. Anyone trying to justify it is either one of those people who supported it when the Hegemony did it, or, if they fought against these types of actions, is nothing but a hypocrite. Anyone who says anything relating to "do something about it," who complained when the Hegemony said that: Shame on you. You want me to do something about it? I will, in my own pacifistic manner, and will make sure to note this event and how everyone individually is reacting to it. You may say "But that's not enough action" No, it's not enough action, for now, however that is not my way, to act in a brash manner. I take my time.
  16. Asriel: As (like the word "as") ree (like "reef" without the f) el (like spanish word "el" or "ELementary") Belacqua: Bell (like the thing you ring) aqua (like the color, or water) Nation: Surda: Sir - duh
  17. Have you ever noticed that when someone has the word "short" in their title, referring to the length of their post, it is never shorter than 3 full paragraphs?
  18. I know we could have, but it still wouldn't have been the same.
  19. I'm sorry, I did not realize that you created that line. Terribly sorry.
  20. I figure I like blue, people like black, so why not put the two together eh?
  21. You can have some alcohol though. We're going to. You just wait and see.
  22. Gorrammit you're right! Hurry, to the edit box! I gotta make sure to gorram my gorrammed language up a bit. That one goes in our war announcements.
  23. Or Browncoats. A little early so far, but an alliance can't die if at least 2 people refuse to leave, and I think we've got that commitment... >_>
