I don't even disagree with you and that's rare. I'm roundabout saying the same thing you are. If you're going to waste peoples time and patience by posting OOC logs, they better show something worth breaching confidentiality. I'm personally not in favor of just making it cool to post whatever the hell you want from a Skype channel and let the OWF sort it out. It's off the OWF for a reason.

Fair point, but it doesn't make any us of feel better to be betrayed, it just justifies to the viewer that somehow this is an ok practice to make standard. I'm not taking a moral IG stance, if anything it's an OOC stance in what is to be considered appropriate content and it's getting really close to the imaginary line.

I'm not worried about skeletons, and there's always been anti DBDC posting and ranting. Raiding and killing is one thing, but betrayal and espionage with the explicit purpose of backstabbing and attempted embarrassment is a totally different path. WTF will get peace when we are both ready, CT will not. That's the difference. If you look at who is talking in the logs, you'll also see it's CT suggesting to TB that he/we hit Dulra (OBR) and GPA. That's more substantive and telling than the rest of what's posted. If TB is concurring, I guarantee you it's to make CT complacent more than actual political strategizing (he's quite an angry dude)

Wow that was anticlimactic. Shocking that TB allegedly told CT that GPA might still be a target (sarcasm). As for posting WC information on the owf, that's ALWAYS a good idea right? Fact is, there's been diplomacy to stave off any war we might have with GPA, and it sure as hell was not talked about it any channel CT had access to. Plans have changed, and while we may originally have wanted to hit GPA and spare WTF, we decided to switch things up, for reasons beyond just Oya jumping the gun and spooking everybody (though I'm still mad at that). At this point I would speculate there isn't a need for war with GPA, being as they are the true neutral and WTF isn't. This was a major factor in our decision as well. I'm really upset more by the fact that the OWF community seems fine with setting the precedent that private intra alliance communications are in any way justified to be posted to the public forums. This has always been a despicable issue with people I've known and while today's logs may not show anything of value (and these magical "reserved logs" won't show anything either) somebody out there has dirt on somebody else's alliance and I'm just not sure we want to go down this road. I'm not saying we have anything to hide, but surely this is a bad move all around.

well, smurf has made contact with the logs, that pretty much says everything I need to know. I doubt I'll even respond to this masterwork of document doctoring. Pro tip: if you want validity to your claim, hire the most non-trustworthy person you can find to "proofread". I now officially have lost interest in possible validity, I'm just anticipating this work of art Smurf has probably been working on for years.

Just be prepared for the most unimpressive and out of context chat logs you will probably ever see. I stand by any of our statements made, and will be happy to substantiate any outlandish claims. I.e. "Let's roll IRON" or "I heard KB uses proxies" but by all means.. For future reference this is why you don't allow psychopaths into your private channels, but, water under the bridge. What I DON'T doubt is that these logs will be heavily edited/modified and will probably be fabricated, but I'm all for fair disclosure, even if it is a terrible owf precedent to start.

I was going to avoid a response in this thread since I don't like dealing with emotional terrorists. But I feel some kind of statement should be made, if nothing else than for clarification and counterpoint. I'm not even going to touch the OOC issues, I feel guilty for having even indulged the effort to read about that. I feel like Blake G will be in here any minute to tell us about it. As for our 'plans', the strategy of coming to the OWF and throwing 'darts' at the biggest CN targets, namely any major neutral and Umbrella is just too basic to even acknowledge. We are clearly in the grips of a psychopath gone off the deep end. I'm just glad the OWF gets a glimpse into the crap I had to deal with for 2 straight years (and I'm still dealing with it in PM's and other forms of communication). As for a direct response, I feel like my one lonely nuke is a good one, and there's a 40% chance it connects. I would even surmise I could buy more if I wanted. Who knows, maybe I'll start a trend of only maintaining one nuke, and letting the challengers come as they may to test their luck. I feel bad for having commented in a junky ooc hate thread, but I would like to speak on behalf of all DOOMBIRDS and say good riddance to a member whose loyalty and character I've long questioned. The best thing to come out of this thread is that I don't have to explain the crazed antics and delusions of grandeur of this ex-communicate. My nuke will do the talking from this point forward.

I'm with Kingzog, the only reason I RP in any form is to attempt to avoid penalties like warns and to not look like I can't follow rules. As for the RPing of sociopaths, that's not quite how it works for me/DBDC. We have an aggressive playstyle in a game that's conducive to talking things out and playing nice. I get the same reaction in Civilization V when all the AI players hate me for being a warmonger. For me there's quite a distinction between not having any concern for what happens to others and trying to improve my own position. Do the two goals very constantly line up with each other. Yep. Is that why I do it? Nope. I've long stated that DBDC has friends and we'll defend and support those friends until we are unable. And even at that point, we'll still try. We play a very violent style of game, where every move is calculated and intentional and we play with no room for failure. It's not a style that many want to follow, so to ask for a "global response" is a bit much, considering the method of attack you would need to counter us is not a global prerogative. You don't have to be a raider to be our friend. We appreciate many aspects of AA's that don't align with our own values. ODN is not aggressive at all, but they are loyal. Umbrella is not chaotic, but they are skilled fighters and nation builders. Gramlins is not particularly relevant but they represent the spirit of DBDC, at least in a past life. I can go on and on about how our allies are good fits for us, not perfect, but complementary. It's not intentional to RP the villain, though we seem to be embracing that role with both arms. It's more that we have found a way to dominate the small niche of game we like best, namely big destruction and war/raiding. Something about the top end of games is attractive to me and my kind, and you would be shocked at the synergy we have in group discussions, but more shocked at the dissonance of opinion on almost every issue. DBDC is in itself a compromise, but everyone has a voice and we all listen to each other. There is a trust like no other AA I've ever seen and there's really no other home for us now that we've staked our claim as DOOMBIRDS. Apologies for making this all about myself, it seems like that's where the blog was headed. I'll happily rejoin less DBDC-centric discussion when it occurs.

Without going into depth about who was where when things happened, they're all unique situations. Bean had a personal grudge against MI6 and I sympathized with that (bobdole is just a loose cannon and isn't so awesome at following rules). We see it all the time, especially when people don't like what we're doing and try to bandwagon against us (sometimes rallying our friends to join our enemies). That's a story for another day. Ultimately, the bolded part is where we're at. This happened, it's been forgiven (at least diplomatically) and we will move ahead from it.

No. Firstly he wasn't an ally, he was a DOOMBIRD at the time he attacked WAPA. Secondly, we had literally JUST stated to our own allies that we were sorry for having hit WAPA not days/weeks before and we would personally nuke the next person to try. Just so happens it transpired within days of that statement. So yes, it was a harsh disciplining, but the conventional attacks sufficed and we didn't end up nuking. While this agreement was only known to DBDC and the allies we made it with, there's still a base code of conduct that every DBDC is asked to follow. Clearing raids is most definitely one of those responsibilities. Feel free to guess what the rest of the DBDC code of conduct is :) (yes yes, trollbait)

Yes let's go recreate your failed AA and see if we can actually make it work at your personal request. I bet you we could, actually. We pretty much started out as that anyway, and had to forge several major AA connections before anyone outside of our inner circle gave us legitimacy. You think the physical name of our alliance is what gives us power? Like somehow if we changed to SNARF we'd be mass declared on. We both know better. For my estimation, the only AA name we could change to that would guarantee our utter destruction would be the New Polar Order.

We can all see what's being stated. There's nothing wrong with having fervent opinions and a set of values you defend, but the vitriol here is so unnecessary. With a dwindling member base I feel remorseful for ignoring people, but there is a distinct disconnection with reality I haven't seen since we fought GOP. Neither Polaris nor DBDC is completely evil or completely righteous, and really neither should be throwing stones from what anyone could consider glass houses. There just seems to be some Kool-aid being consumed and it's becoming increasingly hard to tell exactly what Polaris actually stands for these days. You may say that they are just members, but they impact the public image of your AA, just as my own mates do. While their hyperbole may not be in line with what you or your cabinet might think, they tarnish the reputation all the same. Now, whether you care about that at this point.. that's your deal.
