  1. Fortunately, KingSrqt is more eloquent than I. As for intent, I can't speak for any other person's signature on those terms, but that was my reasoning for the reps. Sorry if I confused you with my previous statement, but what I was trying to disprove was the notion that alliances are "merely honoring their treaties" and hence have no guilt for their actions. MCXA assisted NPO in an unjust war, founded on a bogus CB, launched without formal declaration while peace negotiations were ongoing. In any sane world, this demands some form of reparations. The fact that these reparations are extremely lenient, totaling 5% of MCXA's tech, and structured in a way that will not hinder their rebuilding at all... I'd say that lends credence to the notion that Karma has the moral high ground. If anything, it'll serve as a good exercise to rebuild intra-alliance coordination after their recent purges/exodus/loss. Further, to everyone criticizing that our terms aren't worded clearly enough, I will pass your complaints to our legal team. I think the intent was still pretty clear in these terms, and with that, I strongly recommend all parties against attempting to violate the intent of these terms.
  2. So if I sign a treaty that says I'll support someone no matter what they do, and then they go out and do incredibly evil things... like EZI/PZI, forcing alliances to disband, forcing alliances to give up control of their forums, extorting reps that grind an alliance's development to a halt... and then when somebody attacks them for it, and I defend them, I'm just "honoring my treaty" and I have no responsibility for my allies' actions? WRONG. You are, to an extent, responsible for what your allies do while you are defending your allies and threatening those who would oppose them.
  3. I'd advise you against trolling your own surrender thread. As others have pointed out, these are extremely lenient payments that are more symbolic than anything else. 5% of your tech? That's a heck of a lot cheaper than continuing the war for another day. Have some faith that your government actually may have made the right decision today. If we wanted to follow typical hegemony surrender terms, it should've been 200k tech and either sentencing your peace mode nations to ZI or forcing them to refrain from aiding the rest of their alliance for the duration of these terms. I'd also advise you against trying to rewrite history when it's still fresh in so many peoples' minds. TSO wasn't 100% of MCXA's government, and MCXA didn't eject them. You also can't blame them for everything MCXA ever did. Further, this is about the current conflict, not the BLEU Revenge Wars. If this was about revenge and making you suffer, you'd see harsher terms.
  4. Our pleasure. Seriously, though, it was our pleasure. This has been a fun war, and minus a few incidents I think we all managed to keep things in perspective and have a good time with it. a big o/ to MCXA, my AZTEC brethren, VE, Karma, and everybody who's made this all much more enjoyable than our last war.
  5. Interesting? Your sig says you are MCXA's MoFA. I'd like to think that this couldn't possibly be a surprise to you at this point.
  6. All trolling aside, congratulations on the birthday. It's tough to stay alive/together when this many people hate you, and I have to respect your accomplishment.
  7. Nah, they just had to go to another party first . Hmm... Isn't that how everyone's list of friends looks? Oh, wait, you're right. It should look like this: 1) Nelchael 2) Deruvian(since I can't tell them apart) 3) NOT Auctor 4) Mayzie and all of 1TF (Except Auctor) 5) GLOF
  8. Welcome back to the party! Great to finally be able to fight alongside you guys. Now if you'll follow me, I'll show you where the juiciest cuts of meat are...
  9. Really? They have a legitimate defense treaty that they're fulfilling and they're bandwagoners, but when somebody else pre-emptively strikes an alliance in a war with no CB other than "we don't like you and we want you dead", that's OK? Give 'em hell, Pandemic. Welcome to the fight. If you're looking for some juicy targets, come hit us up.
  10. What part of "Karma is changing the way this game is polarized" didn't you understand? What part of "Karma is changing the power dynamics of the major players" didn't understand? You acknowledge that your thesis rests upon the current polarization and balance of power in the world. Knowing that Karma is changing these, the rest of your post is drivel at best. TL;DR: Karma's raison d'etre is the re-polarization of the world and removal of power from the Hegemony. By definition, Karma must either turn on itself or dissipate once these are accomplished... and I wouldn't have it any other way.
  11. Good luck, my ARES friends. Give 'em hell.
  12. I would say that people tend to think others think like them. They say "Hey, I'd be a brutal dictator if I had all the power, so these guys are going to be brutal dictators when they get power". Thankfully, we're removing those kind of people from power right now. Time will tell what those who make up Karma will do post-war, but I think it'll turn out like any other large group of alliance leaders. Some of them are going to be jerks, some are going to continue to do the right thing, and Karma will just be a distant, warm memory of the time when we changed the world (and admin got no sleep). I have to say we're spending too much time thinking of Karma in the hegemonistic mindset. Karma isn't a formal organization, its member alliances change daily, and it has no binding treaty or ideology. It's just a group of alliances old and new, large and small, working together for a better Bob (by eliminating the hegemony that has dominated us for far too long). I don't expect Karma to exist as an organization once this is accomplished. And yes, I think it's quite obvious that Karma will not become the evil new hegemony.
  13. Funny... "To ZI AND BEYOND" is the policy that got you so hated to begin with... Term 1 is to send a peace offer. You changed your AA without complying with the other terms, including without sending peace offers. Additionally, you still had military improvements, tanks, and excess soldiers. You can't expect everyone to notice your AA change to "KARMA POW"... you have to send them peace offers. Nuke Sent Screenie Karma POW Peace Offer Now if you'll kindly drop the libel from your nation bio I'll gladly order my men to stand down since you are NOW in compliance with the terms.
  14. Let it be known that the above quoted poster had not complied with surrender terms regarding destruction of military improvements and tanks, changed his AA to KARMA POW without messaging his attackers to make sure they knew, and sent the peace offers AFTER he was nuked. Additionally, his immaturity in this matter makes us consider the wisdom of our lenient surrender terms. Edit: Screenshots available for those who need them.
  15. Welcome to the fight, brothers. There is plenty of blood to go around, but we ask that you send their captured virgins our way. We will hold a special sacrifice in your honor!
  16. Welcome to the fight, my favorite (and only) amazons!
  17. I'm shocked! Last I heard, NPO said you planned to destroy them. You should really follow through on your hidden agendas, GPA. Shame on you!
  18. Welcome to the party, =WE=!
  19. Congratulations to our friends from OcUK!
  20. o/ ARES, good luck, but I don't think you'll need it.
  21. Fixed that for ya. :jihad: Edit: Almost forgot to congratulate CDC on their peace. I hope you make the best of it, learned valuable lessons, and enjoy planet bob more in the future.
